IBM MaaS360 On-premise
What do you like best about the product?
We liked many functions and security policies for mobile devices (iOS and Android). It was an awesome opportunity to use internal reports. We could build different reports for our managers and configure weekly the mailing list.
IBM goes out of their way to provide help and documentation for the period after on-boarding.

What do you dislike about the product?
We didn't like the support team. Sometimes we waited for 1-2 weeks' answering our request. Also, we wanted to implement macOS devices in our company. IBM MaaS 360 didn't support macOS devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used IBM MaaS360 for controlling iOS and Android devices. This system helped us to configure all devices with our standards. Our security team used IBM MaaS360 for gathering information and reactions after analyzing this information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are managing a small fleet of local computers MaaS360 will work well to suit your needs. However, if you are working with a large fleet with remote users the program begins to not be as efficient for your needs as it could be. From my experience working with over 25 000 mobile devices, this solution was not up to the tasks at hand.
Device management platform works fine and is easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Management of the platform is easy and intuitive. Customer support is exceptional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally i find a needed control not set up. I.E. Turn off hot spot functionality for ios Tablets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage and track 50 iphones and ipads distributed to field units. Control application content and url accessibility. Insure proper use of the devices and control data overages.
Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can ask questions and if Watson cannot figure it out it will connect you with a live chat.
Watson-If I am not able to find an answer, you can request the following:
- 'open a case'
- check 'case status'
- 'talk to an agent'
Whenever needed, I will pass our chat transcript to our support engineers.
You may type 'help' at any time for additional information.
These prompts are helpful when your not sure what to start out with.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it Watson will get hung up...keep trying different ways to ask the question.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
how to add a webclip and how to whitelist a website.
Great product with a Bonus: small price tag!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to make changes, and even easier to get support through IBM, which has been a fabulous surprise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Any MDM comes with lots of complicated settings. MaaS is no different, but the level of complication also means that it is extremely friendly to your unique situation and can be customized to do exactly what you need it to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HIPAA-compliance with mobile devices was a NIGHTMARE before MaaS. Now, we can remotely lock, track, wipe, and guarantee HIPAA-compliance with all of our devices. This is as bulletproof as it gets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it, just make sure you have direct contact with IBM support. Third-party support can't compete with direct IBM support. Working with the IBM team is like having a dozen magicians in your back pocket. Third party can still access IBM support but it gets a little complicated. We have worked with both ways and I prefer being able to contact IBM directly. I swear those guys eat, sleep, and breathe this product. It is phenomenal. Compared to other products, this is a fabulous price with very little initial investment other than your own time. Build yourself a knowledge base and you're good to go on a shoestring budget.
Overall experience: very good
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use platform. Very good for mdm mobile management . Compatible with Apple configurator ,Apple Business Program.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface updates. Password needs to be put twice before confirming action.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
iOS management
Secure Container Application for Company Data
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and configuration with user licenses is what stands out to me. The Cloud Extender which syncs our users from active directory makes searching for specific users incredibly simple and makes my job as an administrator that much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like with everyone 2-factor authentication application, hiccups can arise. We've had issues with licenses not being pushed out as well as having difficulties in first setting up The Cloud Extender.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall, MaaS360 has allowed us to safely let users check into their work data on their mobile devices. We don't have to worry about sensitive materials being compromised even when the mobile device (almost all BYOD) is lost.

What do you like best about the product?
All devices laid out in extremely digestible way when trying to when reports or just read - the portal is pretty simple to navigate as well.
The UX/UI is the best part
The UX/UI is the best part
What do you dislike about the product?
not as customizable as I'd like for policies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps us secure with out patient information
Great support from the team especially Mark but the system itself could be improved
What do you like best about the product?
That the system does offer a lot of features and the customer service I received from Mark O'Donohue
What do you dislike about the product?
interface and the fact that not everything is clear - you either need IT knowledge or help to understand a whole number of things and how to set up policies etc etc. I don't like the fact that it does not work unless the Maas360 app is installed on the device. Location services also not great. The DEP and Maas360 connection isn't always brilliant either. I have a couple of phones stuck in login mode as they are locked with DEP but have been removed from Maas360 I cannot login anymore so a better communication and maybe shared technicians between DEP and Maas360 would be a good idea.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alerts for data usage, record of devices, possibility to wipe them out, reset passcodes etc. Generally I like having more control over company devices as not every employee is responsible and some of them forget their passcodes and need my help to reset.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get your IT support to do the set up and explain everything
