Avanan, Email Security at its best
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it uses AI and machine learning eases the process of setting it up, and the fact that it resides in our 365 tenant makes it resolution time very fast. The sales team and onboarding technicians were excellent help. Getting set up correctly and working could not have gone more smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have two 365 tenants, so we had to be set up on a reseller portal and sometimes moving from the reseller portal to one of our tenants prompts for credentials again. That is honestly the only issue we have seen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan is catching malware and phishing attempts that our two other mainstream mail security programs are not filtering out at a fraction of the cost. It can also learn and retroactively pull items from a user's mailbox, which is not an option for either of our other email security suites. We also get a regular report prompting us to get into the system to review any items the AI did not remediate. Because of machine learning, we are spending less and less time in the Avanan portal each week as Avanan learns how we want to address certain occurrences.
Great set of features
What do you like best about the product?
In testing, we found the feature set great. Covers our whole O365 environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a feature, inbound DLP, that was missing, but was on the roadmap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving issues with efficacy in SPAM as well as better DLP.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and learning mechanisms. Overall Avanan has made email security much more effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time no items to dislike. Would like a mobile app at some poit.

Nothing to dislike about using the suite. It is easy to use.

We are taking care of security issues with our email security. It has helped secure our email accounts.

Overall experience has been great and the product has solved our business needs.

Avanans easy of setup and use. Implementing and monitoring really could not be any simpler.

There is a little to be desired in the lack of customization options. However, that is the trade-off for ease of use.

While phish and spam protection are what drew us in, the DLP and malware protection are excellent bonuses.

Invisible, easy to set up and leave running, it almost admins itself.

Easy management and implementation. The API solution is so much better for email and Drive access than a gateway type of product. The Avanan AI is superb and rarely ever makes a false positive

I have nothing to complain about the Avanan product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email security was our main concern and Avanan is providing that excellently. With the Data Loss prevention reports, we have gained insight into the practices of some of our staff and the attachments that they are sending on a daily basis, something that needs addressing but we would never have known about previously.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a simple platform that you can use as an administration. Due to check point, aims security first, it is same in cloud environment as well. It has unique threat prevention to assets. And most of the things are automated as far as experienced. Multi layer cloud security is also one of the best future to detect strange and suspicious activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think license prices are expensive but I believe it is because it entered market fresh. and the other thing is, a lot of bug may occur I think R&D team will work harder on it.

Avanan makes it easy to protect your company's data across a multitude of different software solutions!
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't an easy way to whitelist specific email addresses from bypassing Avanan's DLP. It's either all or nothing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can securely monitor all of our company's outgoing email messages, file transfers, and internal operations.

What do you like best about the product?
Every time Spam filtering is done and specific to suspicious ones, a notification is received. This checkpoint blade helps us in filtering Phishing emails and other spam emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
No Such dislike in the solution. It is recommended spam filtering solution at the gateway level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Filtering out phishing emails which are the biggest threat when it comes to social engineering.
A great tool to use for phishing!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easily the interface works, and really how quickly you can update your search. The home page has a lot of relevant information, including a geo-location of where emails are sent from. I believe this helps to quickly check if people shouldn't be sending from some locations. It also gives different colors (Green, Yellow, and Red) to state some that are out of the ordinary to check up on, along with the email addresses and IP addresses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the system doesn't work or the system may lag behind when the emails are sent. That can be pretty normal for a SaaS system though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to check for impossible travel, along with blocking Phishing attempts on our company. I also use it a lot for searching if emails come into Office 365 since it is a direct connection to the system. I know that may not be the original intention of the system, but it sure works great that way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a look at this software. It works very well. I would highly suggest using it.
