Work on Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
Less Maintains on servers to easy to communicate and also reduceing the man power

Always with some server side fix to work our application

variety of items available. there is enough booths to enhance the productivity of ibm products.

not enough knowledge on TM1 and cognos with TM1 cubes. Not much contents/demos/labs on dimensional data

Server Administration off-loaded to cloud support. No longer downtimes, server reboots, OS patching side effects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Moving process from On-Premise instances is very cumbersome. Single signon to user browsers for non-ibm products hard to implement.

Cognos offers flexibility and performance above and beyond that of other competing solutions
What do you dislike about the product?
Some competing solutions position themselves at a much lower price point, which may maked additional investments in cognos difficult to justify to business executives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rich visualizations over virtualized data lakes. The solution performs very well and we have been able to produce very rich visualizations that are wowing or clients;

Powerful report development. Detailed customization options
What do you dislike about the product?
Dynamic cubes are cumbersome to build/support. Don't have a good replacement for power play and transformer is no longer recieving enhancments

Daily reports on key metrics go to the whole company and result in measured improvements on metrics
Upgrading from Cognos 10 to Cognos Analytics 11
What do you like best about the product?
The new interface, dashboards. The shortcurt menus to to create reports. DQM.
What do you dislike about the product?
The numerous features that were working in 10 did not work in version 11.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily and Monthly premium, losses, financial reporting
New users, features coming quickly
What do you like best about the product?
That new features that are needed are being quickly updated and usable in the tool - this makes it very viable and easy for end users to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Transformation off of some older management consoles come over partially or slowly; like cognos administration is only 1/3 of feature of the older console version and it is way more flexible and can do bulk edits. Do not put out a tool until it is fully functional

reporting, historical and current management and operational dashboards and reports - then to move to more predictive analytics and inject that in alsol
