Optimize Project Management with Clear Flow
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has been very useful for managing improvement projects in my current role as a process engineer. What I like the most is that it has a very clear workflow, for example with the task flow: pending, in progress, in validation, and closed. Asana makes it easy to follow up on actions resulting from meetings and ensures that things actually get done. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can become burdensome to carry when there are many active projects.

Streamlined Project Management with Room for UI Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I think the planning aspect of Asana works out very well. I like the fact that I can add tasks and subtasks, and it handles that really well. Since I'm running a consultancy with multiple clients, it's essential that I have an accurate snapshot of what is due and when clients expect it, and Asana helps in that regard with a well thought out timeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the way Asana handles files confusing. It's nice to attach them to messages and comments, but once they're associated with a project, it's really hard to manage them. I can't get a list view or sort them, and they end up in a strange masonry style. Also, while the initial setup was straightforward, Asana, like many project management tools, has too many features which makes it hard to keep it simple. The design lacks a clear visual hierarchy, which can bury important options and information quickly. It feels like the UI was designed by engineers or productivity experts, and could really benefit from a visual overhaul for better clarity. I also really, REALLY dislike the fact that the pricing is at best, disingenuous, and at worst, deceptive: even as a solopreneur, I'm forced to buy 2 seats, so like countless others, I have one extra seat that I just don't need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for timeline management and as a central hub for communication and file access.

Easy-to-Use Asana That Keeps Tasks and Projects Perfectly Organized
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very easy to use and helps me keep all my tasks and projects organized in one place. The interface is clean and straightforward, and features like boards, lists, timelines, and due dates make it simple to follow progress and stay on top of what needs to be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more advanced features are only available on the paid plans, which can get expensive if you’re working with a large team. At times, the sheer number of views and customization options can feel a bit overwhelming, at least until you’ve spent some time with the tool and gotten used to how everything is laid out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me stay on top of deadlines, assign tasks clearly, and see what’s coming up next at a glance. It’s reduced confusion and misunderstandings about who’s responsible for what. Instead of juggling spreadsheets or bouncing between multiple chats, I can keep everything in one place and follow progress more easily.
Portfolio Views and Automation Enhance Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the portfolio view in Asana because it allows me to build a dashboard to work through our results with the team and see all our projects and tasks in one view. The rules and automation are good as they help pre-fill data and auto-update dates on tasks, improving data hygiene, which then helps with the accuracy of reporting and statuses. I also appreciate the custom fields in Asana as we need fields to track data that helps the team do their tasks, and being able to define our own fields is important because what we do is bespoke.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workload tab on the portfolio needs a lot of improvements. There's a lot of layout shift, it's hard to make sense of it when an assignee has lots of tasks assigned to them (it's too long and cumbersome). You cannot sort tasks. Ideally, there is the ability to sort, also to remove the breakdown by project (this will reduce a lot of height on that view).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana, I know what everyone is doing, what's next, and what's overdue. The portfolio view builds dashboards for team results, rules improve data accuracy, and custom fields help track bespoke data.
