A Great Project Management Tool

  • September 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great way for any employee to utilize Asana the way they want. It is great at breaking tasks into subtasks and view your task in any way you want.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have a small learning curve if you are coming from another project management software, but its not bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are finding a way to share tasks between teams in different offices. It makes it easy for us to streamline deadlines more efficiently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great way if you have a big team with different departments and want to keep track of a lot of tasks. We use it to not let things slip through the cracks.

Organizing made easy

What do you like best about the product?
the lack of organization without asana was insane. with asana, we are able to keep things organized. we can create tasks and assign them to employees and don't have to worry about wires getting crossed. because there is a check list spelling everything out for you all in one place. it also notifies you when each task is complete so you do not have to go into asana and check on each task and see whether or not it is completed. also, I love that you can leave notes under each individual tasks. that way if you want someone to know something before finishing the task it is in the note section. and they can make a response as well. so, if something went a little different than planned or they want you to know something about the task, they can let you know as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes, I find the lack of notifications when a task is completed a little frustrating.but when you want to turn the notifications on it emails everyone in the group every single time something is completed. I wish there was just an option to notify when all task are finished for the day or week. instead of individually sending an email for each individual task completed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the problems of being unorganized are solved. the benefits are not having to find the person you want to do a task and tell them each Time you need something done. it is just in a task for them to look at and complete.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is a lovely tool for keeping things in the work place organized!

Asana for business

  • September 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The project flow with calendar integration is best. Generally in other project management tools, there is no good interface for personal tasks and to-dos. But asana provides a very crisp and simple functionality as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's notification system lacks a little bit plus integration with other apps is not too great. Addition to that, Private chats are not a thing in Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's our team management tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can pay try Rally. It's best out there.

Powerful Tool for Complex Project Management

  • September 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an upgrade from more simple project management platforms and apps because of its multiple functionalities and integrations. You can manage multiple projects and teams and work across them without things getting confusing. Plenty of customization and ability to communicate while organizing tasks, assigning, and tracking progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
If your team and/or tasks are not very complex - i.e, not many steps involved, not many people touching different projects, you do not need this tool - a simpler, more clean project with less functionalities is better. It can be confusing for Onboarding but again, if you're managing complex projects this is the ticket.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great aerial view of where everyone is at, it keeps updates and questions out of emails, and it helps with accountability.

Fun & Helpful Project Management Tool

  • September 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fun and engaging interface with animations that make completing a task extra satisfying. Being able to comment back and forth on a particular task allows for a comprehensive history of how a project is going.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many emails! I'm sure you could turn these off somewhere, I just haven't done that yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of hundreds of different tasks within our agency through Asana helps us to see which projects are on track and which need a bit more attention. Allows us to meet deadlines and stop issues before they arise!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Change the settings to have fun with the interface - there's a Halloween one, a winter one, and more! Also make sure you assign tasks to a person and give it a date when creating the task as otherwise it can get lost in the ether and never get done!

Best Project Management Tools - Asana

  • September 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- You can get set up and started in Asana in about five minutes. In an hour or so, you can have a working tool for managing your work.

- Asana is structures work into Teams, Projects, and Tasks and provides multiple options for viewing the same core information like list view, a kanban board view and a calendar view. You have the ability to add tags, @mentions people, projects or tasks and do some cool search-based reporting.

- Asana is a tool can work with you at whatever stage you’re in. If you already have a dialed workflow and process, you can easily configure Asana to execute your existing process in the best way possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Asana loads slow and we hate it! It takes too long to open a particular task.
- Every minute change in the Asana workplace triggers an email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- The colors in Asana help distinguish projects, tasks, and teams. This makes it easy to prioritize tasks and differentiate them from the rest.
- Keyboard shortcuts have always made work faster. Asana too provides keyboard shortcuts I love it.
- It's a nice to feature - simply drag and drop
