Functional & Reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro offers an extension set of tools for Apple device management, but for me, I find myself getting into the iOS management side because I have been heavily involved in the iPad, IOS world from the moment Apple introduced them. The tablet can be utilized in many ways and Jamf Pro provides tools to harness what they offer while managing the device securely.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how when I am viewing a device in a smart group, if I click back, it takes me out to the main smart group list. HIGHLY ANNOYING PLLEASE FIX
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is helping me setup and manage service desk iOS devices setup as kiosks for user check-in. I can easily lockdown a device and set it up for single app mode with just a few clicks.

The automation of the application to manage the laptops and other devices

I do not have an issue with the app yet, only minor issues but those issues we need to fix

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to integrate with our Azure AD IDP. Jamf always tries to implement their customers' ideas to improve the product. It looks professional as well. The overall look doesn't have a thrown-together look.
What do you dislike about the product?
The update process can be complicated when Jamf releases a new version. Sometimes some settings that were part of past versions need to be changed or added. You have to pay attention to the release notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf is good at listening to their customer's needs, and they're constantly implementing new features. It helps us keep our users safe and getting them the permissions they need while using our Mac fleet.
Best apple Managementsystem
What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy to use and it offers almost unlimited possibilities for device management. The Jamf binaries are just so powerful when it comes to managing macOS.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many negative things. The support sometimes answers a little late but then eig always with the right solution. But otherwise I can hardly report any negative experiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We switched from another management solution to Jamf Pro. With Jamf, we now have the ability to manage our macOS devices in a meaningful way. Whether a connection to Azure or simply the app distribution and updating of the systems.
Great MDM with a few areas for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro provides a robust solution that allows us to do minimal touch onboarding through a combination of Prestage enrolments, policies, and profiles. It allows us to keep both the OS's current, and centrally deploy apps
What do you dislike about the product?
Areas that Jamf Pro could improve upon would be the Jamf App Catalog. Currently, it has a limitation of not being able to deploy apps to specific machines. It is either specific groups or the entire organization. There also isn't a way to exclude specific devices. It is a big limit over the Mac Store Apps.
With regards to mappings, it would be helpful to have a "Division" mapping within Jamf Pro so we don't have to sacrifice another field, like "Room"

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro helps us solve keeping the OS updated and the deployment of apps. It also helps to offboard users through the use of Remote Management commands securely. Jamf Pro also enables us to securely manage BYOB and corporate mobile devices.
Home run solution for managing Apple devices
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro provides the toolkit to manage Apple devices on any level - from deploying and patching applications to system updates to configuring launch daemons to affect system behavior in a way that brings the best possible experience to macOS and iOS users

Sometimes requested features get implemented later than originally anticipated

Keeping the Apple device environment up to date, secure and properly configured to give the users the best managed experience

The assurance the kit is up to scratch before connecting to the corporate network

The fact that we can't build a laptop if the corporate network uses certificates to Authenticate the connection.

Nothing as of now. The features are good and easy to use.

It's handling, Managing Mac os paches, upgrades and application paches and also control Mac os settings

Jamf Pro is a very versatile platform relying on industry standards like rest api to allow integration and automation with literally anything!

What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of out of the box configuration for things like security baselines is probably something I would like to see addressed. However jamf allows you to create baselines and policies manually. There's a bit of a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf is allowing us to manage our fleet of macOS, iPadOS and iOS devices. And allowing us to automate on boarding/off boarding. We also use jamf to manage our inventory and have automations for various other tasks including security and compliance baselines.
Jamf Pro? More like Jawesome Pro
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is by far the easiest MDM solution to learn. Their provided documentation is next level compared to their competitors (InTune documentation, am I right?). The feature set is diverse and updated consistently. I love being able to manage FileVault keys directly from device profiles! I've been lucky enough to take two of their training courses which were fabulous experiences! The instructor lead training was worth the program's cost, and I highly recommend starting at Jamf 100. Jamf 100 is self-paced and gives you the very basics of not just Jamf but also Apple devices. Jamf 200/300/400 are instructor-led and worth the time, especially if your companies will buy Jamf's training pass or get you an individual pass for the class.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the support team is uh-maz-ing there is definitely room to grow in how you reach the support team. My biggest piece of advice is bookmark the contact us support page as there's no easy way to access your tickets or create a new one from your instance. Like all MDM's you do encounter random bugs, but I will say the support team has always been very helpful in documenting these bugs and helping us come up with work arounds until they're fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf binary is great! It truly makes managing makes significantly easier than any other solutions I've used in the past. Our efficiency increased dramatically after we were able to properly organize our instance. I highly encourage you to follow best practices Jamf recommends when creating new payloads as it can be a life saver when troubleshooting errors.
