I've never been so excited about a product!

What do you like best about the product?
My absolute favorite thing about Canto is the facial recognition. Trying to find lots of photos of a particular person in our old DAM was excruciating because my predecessors never tagged people. So I would have to try and guess what events they might of attended. Now, something that might have taken me one to two hours in our old DAM takes me less than a minute in Canto. I only have to identify the person once, and I can find every single image of them. The facial recognition is top notch. I haven't had any false positives yet.

The search is also much more robust. Someone sent me a screenshot of a picture from our old DAM, and asked if I could help her find the original. It was a drawing of a face, so I just typed in, "face drawing" in Canto and found it immediately. It would have been a nightmare to find it before without the file name.

The Canto platform is very intuitive, and we have been able to implement it seamlessly with our current processes. Our implementation manager has been stellar to work with. She has vast knowledge to draw from in supporting customers, and that has made things so much easier for us.

There are a couple of us who need to use Canto incredibly frequently, and it is actually fun to use compared to our last platform. I was telling a friend about Canto, and she said, "A look of pure joy just crossed your face." That seems accurate. Canto has made our work easier in so many ways!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, it is hard to think of any downsides. We had a glitch with a couple of duplicate folders during the migration, and that was basically it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding assets is so much easier in Canto. It's easier to have things in multiple albums without duplicate images. It is saving us so much time and effort. It also makes it very easy to make the DAM more usable for future users.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a good central tool for multi team collaboration. It is easy to use and doesn't require much training
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be hard to get everyone on board. Downside of multiple people editing in there is that it can be hard to keep things organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Make it easy to review and make edits . Easy to find and pull artwork/assets

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of searching for images with the Indesign plug-in & collaborating with other artist on projects remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way of making uploading, naming, tagging images quicker and easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing us to have 1 central location to store & name images & access remotely.

Canto for all of your assets

What do you like best about the product?
Using Canto is very user friendly, and searching makes finding assets a breeze. The design and layout is pleasing too. The portals make it organized, and we absolutely love that we can set up a style guide for our brand right within the system!
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not work with our SSO because we don't support the same plugin.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better viewing and finding of assets than what we had with Merlin.

So far nothing, still onboarding but I love the support so far!

Canto is helping us to organize and streamline our internal data. This is a game changer for our company

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Canto has many different viewing options as well as search options and it is quite easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't really found things that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is useful when working with our customers so that we don't have to worry about sending or receiving emails with transfer links that expire within a few days and it keeps the artwork in one place.

You can not delete folders on canto once it is made

What do you like best about the product?
The AI functions (facial recognition) feature is fantastic and very helpful.
The ability to share controlled links to outside vendors/clients is a big plus.
The ease in which we can rig a funtion for out needs that change our workflows and streamline them is unparalleled.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is NO UNDO button! I love that we can now remove assets from links but you guys could really take it home with the UNDO button. Simple benefit that would help every client.

Also, the cropping feature could use a lot of work. Being able to crop and output up to a 300mg file would be very helpful and a game changer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and ease of distribution for my company and clients.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very intuitive - our users can basically teach themselves. The system almost has too many options and features so we are rolling out in phases
What do you dislike about the product?
Our implementation took much longer than we were advised in the initial vetting. In many cases this was because key staff were not available or didn't understand the needs (even though outlined in our initial outline)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staff are able to review assets and share in many formats
We are able to manage licensing without other types of tracking
We are able to convert assets without need for other staff
We are able to limit access to historical assets at a lower cost
