AI-Powered Image Search Shines, But Slow Web Loading Frustrates
What do you like best about the product?
I love the AI integration in Canto where it makes my work so much easier and faster. I just type in a keyword, and it instantly finds the images I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer having a desktop version of the software instead of relying solely on the web-based application. Similar to Dropbox, I believe this would help improve accessibility and performance, as the current loading time for Canto is quite slow and can sometimes cause inconvenience for end users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As someone who is working with images regularly, I find Canto extremely helpful in making it easier to search and organize visuals. However, the process of uploading images from Dropbox — which we currently use, tends to be quite time-consuming. It often feels slow and can be challenging when time is critical. I hope there will be improvements or a more seamless integration between Dropbox and Canto in the future.
Effortless Company-Wide Adoption Makes Work Easier
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use corporate-wide is a huge benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Extra costs for Hubspot integration. Adobe integration isn't as smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is now our main asset library for our corporate staff to use/access. Instead of rummaging through our OneDrive folders, now they can go directly to that library and access what they need.
User-friendly system and helpful team
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how intuitive and well-organized the platform is. The interface makes it easy to upload, manage, and find assets quickly, and the search and tagging features are very efficient.
The customer support has been excellent. Very responsive and helpful throughout the onboarding process. The system is stable, visually clear, and flexible enough to adapt to different team needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
There’s nothing I particularly dislike so far. A few workflows could be more intuitive for new users, but overall the experience has been very positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is helping us centralize and organize a large number of photos and communication materials from our grantees and partners. Having everything in one place is making it much easier for our team to find, share, and reuse visual content across reports, presentations, and social media. It's greatly improving collaboration and saving us time.
Easy Setup and Convenient Access with Canto
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Canto for about three months, mainly for a customer-facing library, and I find its setup process to be straightforward, which is quite convenient. One of the standout features is having a scrollable library that our clients can view while we are quoting jobs at home. It significantly benefits us by having all the information in one place right at our fingertips. The search features are particularly useful, making it easy to find information quickly, enhancing my daily tasks and user experience. Additionally, the overall ease of use makes me inclined to continue using Canto.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the main area where Canto could improve is making prerecord tutorial videos more accessible or easier to find. This would be particularly helpful for maximising the potential of the software, as our company hasn't been using it to its fullest capacity, which might be partly due to the lack of easily accessible training resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Canto for a scrollable library that clients can view during home quoting, keeping all info easily accessible and at my fingertips.
Effortless Organization with Powerful Tagging
What do you like best about the product?
The tagging makes items easy to narrow and find
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to experience what I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool has made it much easier for our organization to access assets. It has also reduced the number of asset requests that the marcomm team receives.
Setup Challenges Mar Accessibility Benefits
What do you like best about the product?
I find Canto to be beneficial in my role primarily due to its ability to help identify and locate assets quickly. This feature is particularly valuable for our team as it enhances our efficiency in accessing files. I am also optimistic about the future potential of Canto to be very valuable to our team once we create dedicated portals for partners and internal departments to access files, which would streamline our operations significantly. Moreover, I appreciate the filter features in Canto; however, it does require correct tagging and labeling of assets from the beginning to function effectively. Despite the challenges we face, I hold a favorable view that once Canto is fully set up, it would stand as one of the better options for digital assets management.
What do you dislike about the product?
{"I find bulk uploading of assets in Canto to be challenging, as it seems to require a manual process without support for bulk uploads.","I dislike that there is insufficient support or resources from Canto to assist with the setup and uploading process, making us consider hiring additional manpower.","The platform is labor-intensive, particularly when it comes to labeling and tagging assets, which affects the ease of asset retrieval.","I am concerned that there is a discrepancy between what was promised and what was delivered with Canto, as my team felt we weren't aware of this limitation until after purchase.","I find it difficult to create unique portal experiences due to a lack of support, which limits our ability to effectively share files with partners and internal departments."}
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Canto beneficial for quickly finding assets and believe it will be valuable for team collaboration once portals are fully set up, despite current setup challenges.

Digital Asset Management
Indispensable Asset Management with Room for Style Guide and Sharing Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
Canto has become an essential tool for our organization, serving as the central hub for managing and organizing final versions of assets. Its intuitive interface and robust features make it easy to maintain consistency and streamline workflows across teams. We use Canto to store and manage finalized assets in a structured way, ensuring quick access when needed. The platform’s search functionality and ability to label relationships between assets save time and improve discoverability. It also provides analytics that allow us to monitor viewing and download activity, giving valuable insights into asset usage and engagement.
Sharing assets internally and externally is simple, whether through direct links or dedicated workspaces. The built-in style guide template helps us maintain brand consistency and share guidelines across the organization. Additionally, creating share links for workspaces enhances collaboration and ensures everyone has access to the right resources. Its combination of searchability, analytics, and sharing tools makes it indispensable for managing creative and marketing assets.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Canto provides robust asset management features, there are certain aspects where the platform could be enhanced. The style guide feature, for instance, seems somewhat underdeveloped and can be difficult to use efficiently. Improving its usability and offering greater flexibility would greatly increase its usefulness. Additionally, as the quantity of share links increases, locating and managing them becomes increasingly cumbersome. Introducing a dedicated search function for share links would make the process much more efficient and improve the overall user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traditional drive structures often require creating multiple copies of related images to keep them organized, which can lead to inefficiencies and wasted storage. Canto eliminates this problem by allowing assets to be linked without duplication, making asset management far more streamlined.
One of the platform’s standout features is its powerful search functionality combined with the ability to label relationships between assets. This not only saves time but also significantly improves discoverability, ensuring that teams can quickly find what they need without navigating through complex folder structures.
Overall, Canto provides a modern, efficient solution for managing digital assets, reducing redundancy, and enhancing collaboration across the organization.

Smooth Transition from Previous PIM System
What do you like best about the product?
Relatively seamless transition from last PIM system; we appreciate that the majority of our content was migrated over with little to no change. We like the filter and tagging system, as well as the "date uploaded" and "uploaded by" indicators to maintain records of accountability.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main UI is a little difficult to navigate and is densely packed; would like to see some updates to the image management section in terms of overall organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Serves as a central hub and reference for all of our product content. This helps us stay organized and consistent as a small business.
Seamless InDesign Integration for Remote Teams, Secure File Management
What do you like best about the product?
The integrations are particularly useful for remote workers who use InDesign. They help my team work from anywhere while ensuring that their files remain stored in a secure, backed-up environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have encountered some challenges with mapping metadata fields during our migration. This feature is essential for us, and we are eager to see it resolved soon. Customer support has been making a strong effort to help us address this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently in the migration phase of our deployment, but we anticipate that Canto's integrations with Adobe will address the problem of siloed work, where users have been storing their working files outside of our current DAM. We are also hopeful that the AI features will assist us in locating and utilizing assets that have long been buried in our old system. The portals should help separate our work-in-progress from final files, making it easier for teams to find the completed versions they need. Additionally, we expect these changes to help eliminate the issue of duplicate files and multiple physical versions.
