A Comprehensive Project Management Tool That Covers It All
What do you like best about the product?
Comprehensive tool that covers most aspects of Project Management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be too heavy for our accidental Project Managers.

Making sure we are executing the right projects at the right time with the right resources.
Planview Portfolios Transformed Our Data-Driven Enterprise Portfolio Strategy
What do you like best about the product?
Planview Portfolios allows me to leverage the data we collect into fact-based (data-driven) decisions for execution and investment. The success we’ve experienced with Portfolios has transformed our understanding and helped us expand our perspective from the portfolio level to the enterprise level (a collection of many portfolios) for strategic portfolio management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the difficulty that we experience moving data into Portfolios. We have overcome this by using Project, which permits ingestion of the Data. In a perfect world, the ingestion of data could occur in Project, Portfolio, and Agile place with the 1-step importation feature,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The team uses Planview Portfolios as the enterprise-level system of record. This makes governance more effective and allows the easy access of information to help guide next and future investment decisions.
Powerful Strategic Planning and Customizable Portfolio Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the strategic planning tools and the options for customizing our portfolio management model
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a bit cumbersome especially when it comes to creating column sets and filter/building a portfolio with Planview. There are some common activities like adding columns, sorting filtering etc, that require multiple windows and a complex navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of supporting complex planning and managing a project portfolio at scale. It also helps with many other things like resource management and acting as a data source of record that can feed a variety of analysis, reporting and insights

Planview Portfolios allows us to work smarter by focusing on the most valuable work and increasing the precision of our planning efforts.

It's breadth of features and capabilities are extremely powerful, but this also creates a challenge in rolling out capabilities at scale.

Planview automates reporting to provide a single-source-of-truth project status report optimized for governance and regulatory oversight.
Great Portfolio Reporting for Project and Program Managers
What do you like best about the product?
Planview Portfolios is a great tool for project/Program managers to input Portfolio Data and report out using out of the box reporting and third party reporting for executive leadership.
What do you dislike about the product?
For new Users, Planview Portfolios can be a little overwhelming and can dissuade new users from continuing to use the tool.

It allows for robust reporting on Portfolio Data.
Easy to Use and Configure, with Solutions for Every Scenario
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use and configure, and many solutions for different scenarios.
What do you dislike about the product?
Refresh rates and success of data sets. Sometimes refresh takes a good amount of time.

The ability to to manage priorities for ICP.

Slow performance in timelines and loading Planning portfolios

Prioritization of projects to plan and forecast.
Flexible Key Initiatives and Custom Report Hosting
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to host custom reports, and the flexibility of Key Initiatives. And the ability to easily create custom portfolios so quickly that resonate with me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The OKR module is very basic. It would be great to support data types for Key Result Metrics. How ProjectPlace manages KPIs is an example for the Data types.

Consolidation of Initiatives and strategies from a global organization.. Singe Source of Truth for Key Initiatives across all regions rolled up.
Connects Strategy to Roadmaps, Capacity, and Market Performance
What do you like best about the product?
It helps us connect strategy with product roadmaps, investments, capacity planning, project execution, and market performance. This is exactly what we needed to support executive-level decision-making.
What do you dislike about the product?
I ran into issues when working with large or long WBS (work breakdown structure) setups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A real-time, connected view of strategy, investments, product roadmaps, projects, and market performance. It helps ensure we’re building the right products (decision-making) and then executing development in the right way (execution).

What do you like best about the product?
It's the best workflow management tool where adding and maintaining the tasks were made easy with its smooth and nice User Interface. It helps to prioritize the tasks and organize to complete tasks effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling the work tasks can be made little simpler and in present market it has many competitors,
