Highly configurations comprehensive view to understand investment prioritization and health of selected initiatives

Lack of audit trail of changes. Also less customizations in notifications

User interface is archaic, schedule manipulation is challenging.

multiple input tools to a single tool; enterprise resource and financial planning; project and program prioritization.
Strong Portfolio Visibility and Easy Time Tracking, with Room to Grow
What do you like best about the product?
It's a strong tool for enterprise portfolio visibility and strategic planning. We mainly use it for time tracking which it handles well, and isn't a super time-intensive exercise.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform has a learning curve, particularly for new users and some workflows are not as intuitive as they could be. It works best when supported by clearly defined internal processes and consistent data management.

The platform provides better transparency into project status and strategic alignment which helps improve decision making and makes it easier to identify competing priorities or resource constraints early.

The tool provides the key insights needed to make critical portfolio decisions.

It can be complex to users not familiar with the interface.

I enjoy the integrations and how everything connects with Planview Portfolios. The product offers a product and project hybrid model and has an easier pricing model that includes all the features we need, like OKRs.

I don't like how many clicks it takes to get somewhere.

Planview Portfolios provides shared visibility, helps us invest in the right things, and connects demand pipeline to outcomes.

Planview Portfolios Transformed Our Data-Driven Enterprise Portfolio Strategy
What do you like best about the product?
Planview Portfolios allows me to leverage the data we collect into fact-based (data-driven) decisions for execution and investment. The success we’ve experienced with Portfolios has transformed our understanding and helped us expand our perspective from the portfolio level to the enterprise level (a collection of many portfolios) for strategic portfolio management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the difficulty that we experience moving data into Portfolios. We have overcome this by using Project, which permits ingestion of the Data. In a perfect world, the ingestion of data could occur in Project, Portfolio, and Agile place with the 1-step importation feature,

The team uses Planview Portfolios as the enterprise-level system of record. This makes governance more effective and allows the easy access of information to help guide next and future investment decisions.
