What do you like best about the product?
Rocketlane makes client onboarding much more structured and transparent. The ability to share a dedicated project portal with clients, track milestones collaboratively, and keep all communication in one place has significantly reduced back-and-forth emails. The task templates save a lot of setup time for recurring onboarding projects, and clients appreciate the visibility it gives them on progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and configuration can take some time, especially when customizing project templates to fit specific workflows. The reporting features could also be more flexible, as some advanced filtering options are missing. A steeper learning curve for new users who are not familiar with project management tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Rocketlane, client onboarding was managed through scattered emails and spreadsheets, making it difficult to track progress and keep all stakeholders aligned. Rocketlane centralizes the entire onboarding process in one place, giving both internal teams and clients real-time visibility on project status. This has reduced delays, improved accountability, and made handoffs between team members much smoother.

Great for Management, an uphill path for Basic Task Management

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Rocketlane is the holistic view it provides—an overall, consolidated view of all the different projects currently running within an organization. It also highlights items that need urgent attention and clearly shows what’s overdue, which I find really helpful.
We are yet to onboard our client with Rocketlane so Ill reserve the reivew on that.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to tasks, I think they need to be presented in a better layout so they’re easier to view and to look up. Right now, you can’t search for a particular task, and the swim lanes aren’t very intuitive to use.

We switched over from Jira, and for things we could do directly in Jira, we’re finding Rocketlane much more limiting. Overall, it hasn’t been as frictionless as I’d hoped, and I’m not sure Rocketlane is a better fit for how we manage tasks—at least not yet. I’m hoping it gets better in that dimension.

The initial setup was also a bit complex. We had to migrate tasks from Jira using Excel uploads, and even now not everything is fully complete. Some items are still incorrectly showing as open within Rocketlane.

It would also be great if the UI updated dynamically, without needing to reload the page to see changes within a sprint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rocketlane helps with time tracking, making it easy to create tasks and record time against them, and offers visibility on project level globally.
Its also meant to provide the visibility to customers, but since we onboarded RocketLane recently, we are still working on that.

Streamlined Customer Project Management with Flexible Integrations

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Rocketlane creates a seamless process for my team, aligning everyone on the mission and tasks, and it allows customers to track project tasks easily. It's also super easy to provide internal and external project updates, and notify about delays or issues. The process is simple and straightforward, and the integration with SFDC works very well. We've integrated SFDC with Rocketlane, so every new account automatically creates a new project, which speeds up the process and helps me stay on top of everything. Rocketlane is more project management-oriented, more flexible, and allows sharing projects with customers along the way. The initial setup was relatively easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SFDC integration is nice, but I wish it offered better bi-directional details, especially for account updates from SFDC to Rocketlane. Also, there's no easy way to generate a new project from the UI triggered by specific events, like creating a follow-up project after a year of customer implementation. The Slack integration isn't up to par either, as I'd like project updates sent to Slack fully so all team members can read the messages entirely. We've had to create a workaround using AI tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rocketlane creates a seamless process, aligns my team on missions and tasks, and allows customers to track project tasks. It's easy to provide updates and notify delays. The integration with SFDC automates project creation, saving time and keeping me organized.

Effortless Time Management with User-Friendly Interface

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have mainly been using Rocketlane for Timesheet purposes, and the experience is very straightforward and easy. I appreciate that the layout is very clear, so I don't have to figure things out every time I use it, which is handy when I'm running on deadlines and need to fill the timesheet on time every Friday. The process is simple and doesn't take much time, which is especially helpful on busy days. Since I work on two projects simultaneously, I like that I can easily select my project name and log hours. Essentially, the interface is user-friendly. Setting up Rocketlane was also very simple because my company had already set up my login, making it very easy for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can add more options into 'Non Project Activity'. For example, if I am doing my mandatory trainings which are quite long and take up the entire day, I need to have a special mention of this activity. I would like to add 'Mandatory Trainings' into the Non Project Activity section.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rocketlane's straightforward interface saves me time, especially when on a deadline, by making timesheet filling fast and easy while managing multiple projects.

Intuitive PSA That Streamlines Projects, Resourcing and Timesheets resulting in efficient Delivery

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Rocketlane has been a strong fit for our team’s professional services automation needs. It streamlines the entire lifecycle—from setting up projects and building detailed project plans to efficiently resourcing delivery engineers and managers across timelines and phases. This end-to-end visibility makes planning and execution much more structured and predictable.

The timesheet functionality is especially valuable, as it enables engineers to log their hours seamlessly. This not only ensures accurate effort tracking but also directly supports reliable revenue recognition, which is critical for our operations.

Integrations have also been a highlight. With tools like Fivetran, we’re able to export Rocketlane data into Snowflake, allowing us to build deeper reporting and analytics on top of our project and financial data.

On top of that, Rocketlane’s UI/UX is clean and intuitive. It doesn’t require much technical expertise to get started, making it accessible and easy to use for both technical and non-technical team members. This ease of adoption has helped drive consistent usage across the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rocketlane is a relatively new platform and continues to evolve, which shows in some occasional rough edges. There are intermittent glitches or unexplained issues that sometimes require a hard refresh to resolve. While these instances can momentarily disrupt the workflow, they haven’t been a major or persistent concern overall.

On the positive side, the Rocketlane onboarding and support teams are highly responsive and proactive. They’re quick to acknowledge queries, provide clear resolution steps, and actively collaborate with their product and engineering teams to address issues and roll out fixes. This level of support helps offset the minor usability hiccups and builds confidence in the platform’s ongoing improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rocketlane enables us to manage projects, delivery workflows, resourcing, and timesheet-based effort tracking seamlessly across a large number of engagements. It brings structure and consistency to how we plan, execute, and monitor work, making it much easier to coordinate across teams and geographies.

By centralizing these core functions in one platform, Rocketlane significantly streamlines our professional services operations for a global delivery organization. It improves visibility into project health, optimizes resource utilization, and ensures accurate effort reporting—ultimately helping us operate more efficiently and at scale.

Rocketlane’s Project Management and Training Keep Clients Aligned and On Track

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Project Management and Training sections of Rocketlane have been very effective at keeping my clients aligned on their goals and helping ensure they achieve them within the stipulated timeline. The email integration has also worked well for client outreach and communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be really helpful if, when I complete a main task category, it automatically marks all of the subtasks within that category as completed as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me keep my clients on target by guiding them to the right help resources when needed. Being able to incorporate training videos directly into tasks has been very handy, and it has helped improve performance.
