A great and scaleable customer education system platform.
What do you like best about the product?
This has been an integral part of our customer education offering and has enabled us to transform our programs for our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customization has a bit of a ways to go, and there could be more out of the box solutions in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall scale issues that we had prior to Skilljar have been successfully solved, and it has provided a much more intuitive experience for all of our clients.
Great customizable platform for every need
What do you like best about the product?
The data analytics are amazing, they have so much data
What do you dislike about the product?
If you do not have web dev abilities it is hard to make customizations without support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amazing ux for our customers
Excellent platform with fantastic support!
What do you like best about the product?
LMS is solid. They are super willing to share tools to enhance your customer's learning journey without having to pay for professional services unless you want to have them do the work for you. Support is incredible and IMO most important, you get GOOD and solid answers from them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quizzes are OK but I would like to see more options. They've been improving analytics, which is good, since I can't afford the CMDB connector. I wish I knew about their role/scopes because the non-enterprise subscription doesn't have the role/scope permissions I'd like. That's been a little difficult for managing permissions for my other users. Then again, most of the work I do, so who cares right? There are a couple of ILT issues I've had where I'd like for a bit more flexibility, but that might just be because we handle training differently than others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Delivering training content to users - what an LMS does - and we really need to get more out to our customers. We only had a KB previously and it just wasn't enough. It has also been a very good ILT/VILT training platform. Frankly, it has gone beyond our expectations because now we have a single point of contact customers are using more and more. We just have to grow it!
A well organized and impactful software education platform
What do you like best about the product?
A centralized and powerful system that is very flexible and simple to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs a bit more polish on a few items but overall a fantastic LMS. These include grouping and sorting for analytics, both of which they are working on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramping customers to be empowered users.
New hires content and skill jar features
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature for me is the ability to quickly switch the types of content and make courses and lessons dynamic. Other competitors will be doing only specific types of training in separate modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I have noticed is that sometimes based on the knowledge; videos are not embedded in all formats.
Some improvements can be adding the meeting links into the skill jar so students can have them all in one spot.
Some improvements can be adding the meeting links into the skill jar so students can have them all in one spot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently is solving a lot of gaps on the team crossing and also its beneficital to save some time while students are going trought the training vs having 1:1 live training
Skilljar enables our premium customer facing education program
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to provide a purchase point/shopping cart experience for customers to search, buy and complete training is the most important aspect of Skilljar. Not all LMS vendors provide that capability which is limited in expanding free programs to paid programs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited ability to customize administration permissions across domains and the consumption (not sales centric) analytics. Data and performance metrics are pivotal to the expansion and support of a customer education program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar allows us to directly sell our education services to customers in a simple and consumable way. We have both self paced and instructor-led offerings in the tool, which enables a blended learning environment for our customers.
Great host for a customer learning platform
What do you like best about the product?
Skilljar gives us all the features we need to build our customer learning platform. It gives us plenty of options for creating our instructor-led courses and self-paced classes for customer training, with all the options you'd need. It provides a wide variety of lesson types for self-paced courses like you might expect, SCORM, video, text-based courses, etc. Also appreciate the analytics that are available.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is occasionally challenging to navigate and not super intuitive. Settings you might expect to be in one menu location might be in a completely different part of the platform, so knowing where to go can occasionally be a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar allows our customers to choose the best training experience for them, whether self-paced courses on their own time or virtual instructor-led courses for a more personalized experience.
Expensive but worth the service!
What do you like best about the product?
A user-friendly dashboard that controls all the content and users of your academy/learning platform. Skilljar Academy hosts numerous courses that guide you to become familiar with the dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I dislike particularly, but like any other SaaS product, I submitted some feature requests/enhancements to our CSM. Some are surveys, quiz enhancement for more interactive assessment, and easier coding platforms (those code snippets are so annoying to use).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer Education is often overlooked, but Skilljar helps you and the company understand its importance and how it affects the product's user experience and prevent churn.
Easy to implement, easy to use, and support is very responsive
What do you like best about the product?
Skilljar's platform is very easy to use--it was easy to implement and setup and it's easy to maintain. It also has a robust Salesforce integration which was critical for our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
After crossing a certain threshold of content and audiences I find myself wishing that there were more options for organizing content visually on the backend. However, the exporting and filtering capabilities are solid so it's not a deal breaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing educational content in a way that is easy for customers to access and use. Skilljar's platform lets us provide training content that is more dynamic and engaging for our customers.
Easy to use, easy to navigate, and it's customizable to your look and feel.
What do you like best about the product?
As a user and as an admin, the system directs the functionality and is much simpler than other systems. The Help Center is exceptionally straightforward, and the directions are clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no list of contacts to send out email blasts of new courses or updates, so our touches to our users could be more efficient through the platform. Also, at times, when creating courses and catalogs, though ultimately I figure out how to connect and publish, I feel that I toggle between Domains and Course Management tabs often and with no distinguished order to accomplish my task quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a broad user base, from clinic users to employees. This platform allows tailoring to each type of user. The flexibility to theme our site to match our branding makes it a coherent system with our other on-brand items. The tracking of user completions and analytics has progressed in how we continue to use the system and engage our users to visit more often.
