Workiva is a great Online Workpaper Solution!
What do you like best about the product?
There is not a need for anything to be kept in paper format. Everything is at your fingertips.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are issues with uploading and importing the documentation needed. When calling support, sometimes it takes days for a resolution to occur.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No need to pull out paper workfolders year after year, all documentation is online for our use.

What do you like best about the product?
How robust and consistent it is making edits.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime it could be unclear about some functions are offered.

Prepare the quarter reporting.
I have used Workiva at multiple companies and it is a must have tool for organized reporting
What do you like best about the product?
The version control. Not having word documents numbered up to 80 floating around all year is so nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the formatting can get difficult to deal with. I think the document styles page was created to help with this but I find it hard to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is solving a version control issue as well as making a clean place for review comments

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is a reliable reporting tool that is farily easy to use once you get your environment setup and initial XBRL tagging completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costs are well above market and very stringent process around XBRL tagging

Collaborative platform but there is room for improvement in collaborative access

Document confrol is the best feature for us.

Consistency and version control in documents
Easier than Word
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva makes creating financial statements much easier than when I was previously using Microsoft Word and Excel. This combines the pieces into one fluid document. I love that you can save versions as well, so you can see what has changed instead of reviewing everything all over again.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have some trouble with different formatting issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps us to create financial statements.
Workiva is very user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is incredibly user friendly. We transitioned to Workiva in the current year and it has been a very seamless transition. Switching from excel to word is quick and easy and managing comments is so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to manage comments left for other people and be able to filter others comments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is making SEC reporting much more efficient and easier to manage. From rolling the document to managing comments, flushing through number changes etc has become so much quicker.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the interconnectivity between the spreadsheets and my word document so that I am quickly able to publish links and it will immediately update all the relavant sections.
What do you dislike about the product?
Given that it is a web interface, the inability to use it offline, such as on a flight. However, I understand the significance of the cloud interface so while it is a feature i would like to have, it's not necessarily a dislike.

Solving the ease of financial reporting.
A Dream come True!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of collaboration with others, and how simple it is to manage preparation of a document. They have taken all the nightmares out of version control, editing and communication and simplified it. It's a software that is a dream come true.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a struggle as executives hesitate to get involved, but they usually love the system once we finally get them in it! The other downside I can think of is if internet is not working, you are not able to work in the software. I love the software and am always trying to find new ways to incorporate it into different areas of our company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps solve version control not only among edits within the documents, but also comments and communication drafts among executives and external auditors. The History also helps to research problems that occur when changes are made without appropriate approval.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, and its Excel and word-like features that can be linked.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all Excel and Word features are available. Sometimes, the response time is slow and it can get glitchy.
