Workiva increases efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is easy to use and learn and helps to create efficiencies across our team. There are a number of features used by multiple teams and it is easy to onboard new team members because it is very intuitive on how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is the fact that every feature is not included in your account, so if a new team wants to use it for something different, we need to contract and pay for it separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps connect multiple teams using the same information. It allows many users into documents all at once to make reviews more efficient.

We use Workiva for financial reporting and recently implemented the SOX function

Workiva makes our reporting process smooth and it allows us to have multiple teams collaborating all within the tool.

Easy to use, mimics Microsoft Word/Excel and provides assurance around internal consistency.

Options that are unavailable, pricing, support around implementation.

Integration with SAP, internal consistency via linking, user-wide capabilities.

The system down time on occassion has unfortunately occurred at bad times for us

Large international in 100 countries allows real time collaboration and control

The ability for us to send requests directly to control owners and the ease at which they are able to use the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of their improvements seem to focus more on how the system looks vs. how the system functions for it's users. We have had several complaints about things they "took away" during upgrades that were crucial to our operations and they have yet to be resolved.

Ability to complete testing easily without Excel and the ability to track outstanding vs. completed tests.

best tool to prepare 10Q and K. simple and easy to use. function are familiar how we used in MS excel and doc
Workiva supports good business disclosures.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of workiva is linking. It prevents inconsistencies in disclosure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not enjoyed the switch to the new processes/certifications.

Smart links will help reduce inconsistency in data between modules.
Workiva's Financial Reporting module is a phenomenal tool for our SEC Reporting function.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to collaborate with multiple users simueltaneously in the same workspace and even same document is a game-changer. The live chat customer support is extremely useful and the articles in the help library are highly relevant.
What do you dislike about the product?
The charts and design tools are useful but can be very finnicky. There are certain design elements that my team has struggled to master. Things like padding on chart columns that makes no senese and doesn't seem modifiable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need for visibility amongst many users and being able to actively engage in the review process - this took us out of hard copy reviews or leaving comments in multiple versions of the same file in a word processing tool, and into a collaborative workspace with a live document.
