Powerful and Flexible
What do you like best about the product?
Love that it truly created a comprehensive integrated platform to not only address financial statement reporting needs, but also has connected solutions across an enterprise for internal management reporting, global statutory reporting, Internal Audit, Compliance, SOX, Document Governance, ESG data collection and reporting, just to name a few. There are so many areas of an organization that Workiva has the ability to enhance. Workiva is clearly the winner in doing FSA, GRC, and ESG smarter.
What do you dislike about the product?
Release of new features and functions is slow to market. Some enhancements have been promised repeatedly for a few years, but have not come to fruition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working smarter, using technology to help reduce mundane, or non-value added repeatable work,
Great tool for efficient reporting.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the collaboration benefits - we are not passing files around and worrying about version control. Our team can collaborate simultaneously and it greatly increases our efficiency for the quarterly and annual reporting process!
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many downsides that come to mind - however, there are some improvements I would like to see. One main improvement would be to include a way to immediately revert all support file attachments to placeholders so that we can use the live file for tie out period over period without having to manually revert each attachment to placeholder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is great collaboration - including with our auditors, who can directly access a review file and leave comments. We don't have to track versions and can provide a direct blackline of changes from the prior version.
Workiva Streamlines Processes
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is very inuitive and allows you to have a one-stop shop for updating information that then automatically flows through to other reports. The ability to leave comments and review changes in real-time makes a huge difference.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no major red flags, the occassional system issues that is typical with any software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to bring together stakeholders in different groups and different regions to form a cohesive product

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and simplified platform. New generative AI features and data management suite for automation. Financial reporting for easy maintenance of various disclosures.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are performance problems at time. One of the missing feature is integration with SCIM API.

SEC reporting, FHFA disclosures and data management for automation.

The automations in workiva allow me to focus on the quality of the data over the manual process of inputting it.

My company isn't great at implementation, and Workiva documentation is rough
What do you like best about the product?
I think the idea behind it is fantastic! Having everything connected and flowing through easily is awesome and I like that the SQL builder is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Chains have been really difficult for me to learn and I have not found the documentation helpful at all. It's also really hard to use when your company doesn't let you connect to your ERP and you have to upload csv files on your own all the time. I have programming experience so wData was easy to learn but not as easy for my coworkers that do not understand basic programming. Again, the documentation is not super clear and needs more examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
wData helps me sort and clean the data easier and faster than just Excel and power query. Linking is also fantastic for linking to sources and between documents.

frequent timeouts when inside software, comment section in Q or K data can disappear, requiring to close and re-open program

What do you like best about the product?
We just implemented workiva at our company, so definitely excited about the linking and consistency checker features in workiva and also to see all the data in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
We still are yet to discover any specific issues with the platform. But with my experience in User acceptance phase i would say that lot of the manual copy paste could be elimiated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are definitely excited about the real time data and having to track all our different versions of the Financial statements in one place. This will enable us to deliver accurate and complete financial results.
