What do you like best about the product?
Links throughout documents, ability to do last minute changes that flow through and filing ourselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Manual process of rolling forward documents (copying and pasting prior period data instead of having this automated).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Filing with the SEC ourselves and being able to process changes quickly.
Workiva is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone in the finance industry.
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud based. Easy to use. Community page is super helpful. Free and easily accesible webinars and tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
How often it is down with incidents with it being cloud based.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Financial reporting for both SEC and FERC, in additional to internal management reporting. The numebr of users that can use the software with ease is super beneficial. Tracked changes and blacklines make it great for management review. Permissioning is super helpful to make sure users are only updating what they are responsible for.

My time with Workiva so far has been limited, but has not had any problems so far

They are making the ease of filing with the SEC incredibly easy so far.

I love the ability to link and that i can get into Workiva from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ther are times i have issues linking or theres a lag, but thats not very often.

Ability for everyone to use workiva and not send versions back and forth as well as provide accuracy

Wish Workiva handled end to end filing for SEC '34 act similar to servcies offered for SEC '33 act.

Practical, Helpful, User Friendly!
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is what our Financial Reporting Team uses to file our SEC filings as well as collect requests from our business partners. It is very self explanatory and user friendly! Makes our process easy from start to finish.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of using Workiva is getting other cross-functional partners on board. We struggle getting our Legal team to desire to use the platform over a tried and true document system like Word.

Workiva solves the problem of filing our documents with the SEC. This can be complex but Workiva makes it so easy! Saves time on our end.
It reduces manual data entry error and improves the financial reporting process significiantly.

Importing data from other sources is fast. Spreadsheet to document and master document capabilities are great.

Rounding must be performed manually.
