Effortless Collaboration with User-Friendly Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I use Workiva to upload and share spreadsheets. It allows my team to easily share, work on the same spreadsheet at the same time, and review. I like that it is user-friendly and easy to figure out. The real-time updates are great, and I appreciate the single sign-on feature. The initial setup was easy too.

I don't have anything that I don't like

Simple, Easy UI with Helpful AI and Efficient Support
What do you like best about the product?
UI is simple and easy to navigate, AI feature, customer support is efficient
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates on one field doesn't integrate to linked fields, I have to manually update in multiple forms; dashboards are not user friendly and missing features, keyboard short cuts

Innovative and User-Friendly Platform for Financial Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Workiva is always evolving and finding new solutions to problems. It's user-friendly, making it easier for us to work with. Tools like the AI function, linking, and Wdata are super valuable to our workspace. Workiva helps solve many data consistency issues and reduces the need for manual calculations and checks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that you can't use as many or consistent hot keys in the spreadsheet as you can with Excel.

Easy and Intuitive, but Real-Time Lag and Confusing Test Downloads
What do you like best about the product?
I think the software is easy to use and very intuitive

sometime the real time is lagging and unstable, also the downloaded version of the completed tests was difficult and confusing

we struggled with organizing the sox testing now everything is in one place, very convenient.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Workiva for organizing all of our data seamlessly and allowing users to communicate directly in the tool. The ability to tag and callout people directly in the comments with notifications is especially valuable to me. It's very user-friendly and intuitive, which makes it easy to navigate. The clean user interface and landing dashboard contribute to a smooth experience. I also value the ability to collaborate on files and communicate with users directly within the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Biggest issue I have is it acts like Excel but doesn't have the same robust ability and ease of use with formulas and pivot tables and charts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva to organize our flux analysis and review financial statement changes. It seamlessly organizes data, allows direct communication in the tool, and notifies users when tagged in comments, boosting collaborative efficiency.
Effortless Real-Time Collaboration and Editing
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and ability to make edits in real time with a number of different users in the same document.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a minute to learn all the formatting tricks.

It is saving costs of using a printer and also provides for easier editing.
Maximum Flexibility, But Setup Needs Guidance
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva is really flexible and maximally customizable for building internal audit processes. I appreciate the request function that makes it easy to reach out to people for evidence. Flexibility is something I really value in Workiva.
What do you dislike about the product?
The permission levels were a bit confusing since there are so many different roles and accesses. The initial setup was a bit of a challenge; it's brand new to us and fully customized, so we had to take training and got help from Embark to get things set up, then practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built internal audit processes in Workiva; it's flexible and maximally customizable. The request function is great to reach out to people for evidence.
Streamlined SEC Filings with Real-Time Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like the access I get to client filings with Workiva. It's great because I can log in and view the most recent draft any time I want, without having to rely on my clients to send them. This real-time access has really streamlined the process, allowing me to comment, get comments back, and see changes without waiting for a new draft to circulate. It facilitates collaboration with clients, provides a way to organize filings, and saves costs over using a filing service.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a little trouble lately accessing the chat help, and some of its responses were more generic than I needed. It would be helpful to know how to elevate to a live person when the chat help doesn't resolve the issue quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva facilitates collaboration with clients, organizes filings, and saves costs over filing services. It also allows me to access and comment on the latest drafts in real-time without waiting for clients to send them.
Sarbanes Oxley Compliance and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve managed Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") Compliance in some capacity for 15+ years, and I’ve seen many different ways businesses maintain, monitor, and report on their internal control environments. Workiva has met nearly all of our needs in SOX Compliance space. For the few areas where it hasn’t fully met our direct needs, the Workiva team has consistently been a strong partner in finding creative solutions.
The Process runs we can execute for 302/906 SOX certification requests (i.e., questionnaires submitted through the application to internal business stakeholders) are seamless and intuitive. They help us confirm the design and operating effectiveness of our control environment while significantly reducing the level of effort required from my team.

What do you dislike about the product?
Our biggest challenge is change reporting. We often need to report quarterly updates to the design of our internal controls. Reporting is available, but it isn’t in the “track changes” format we prefer. As a result, we have to prepare it manually, which can be time-consuming. That said, our Workiva partners have provided solutions that help expedite the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’ve raised change reporting with Workiva as a solution that could benefit both us and other teams using the application. The integration of AI has already helped with the more detailed reporting and the queries we run against specific data we maintain in WDesk. I fully expect AI to be used more broadly within the application, which should further strengthen our SOX program and overall reporting.
