Easy to Use with Clear Functionality, but Needs More Tools

Effortless Financial Reporting, Needs Faster Runtime
What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly Workiva is. As the Workiva admin at my organization, I frequently add new hires or outside counsel to the system, and so they will reach out to me and ask for training or a tutorial. I tell them Workiva is so intuitive and user-friendly, and they usually agree after exploring it themselves. I love the linking features, which make us feel confident in our numbers and reporting because any last-minute changes get updated throughout all documents, maintaining their integrity. The blackline and compare feature is great for tracking changes and is especially helpful for informing the audit committee about updates. I also love that you can use templates. Workiva automates a lot of tasks for us, like cash flow processes, which normally take hours or days but we can complete in minutes, or at most, a couple of hours. It centralizes all our accounting data, making it readily available for creating streamlined, connected reports, ensuring consistency across earnings releases, SEC filings, and board packets.
What do you dislike about the product?
That's hard because Workiva is wonderful. I do think that the connectivity can be slow. I wasn't sure if it was just me, but I talked to a couple other people, and they agreed that especially when you're on a screen share, like Zoom, Workiva does slow down. So, it does have a bit of a delay, but we always get through it. It's not the end of the world. So that's really the only slightly "dislike" I have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva automates our financial processes, significantly reducing cash flow time from days to minutes. It centralizes our accounting data, allowing for streamlined reporting and ensuring consistency across earnings releases, SEC filings, internal reporting (board), etc.
Efficient for Filings, Needs Formatting Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Workiva is to work with. I value the XBRL feature, the test filing, and the customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ease of use when drafting a new annual proxy, particularly the awful formatting, is difficult to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva takes care of all of our XBRL for the Proxy and some formatting, simplifying our SEC filings.
Super Helpful, Responsive Workiva Team
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva reps and XBRL specialists are super helpful, accommodating, and quick to respond. They are very knowledgeable and make me feel like they are on my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Features that would be helpful can sometimes take a long time to roll out as the platform is still developing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Workiva's linking and evergreen method (which I learned about at Workiva Amplify), we can easily put together and roll forward our quarterly and annual reports (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K). Alongside that, the filing process is super smooth and the reps are always there to help with any questions.
Powerful Linked Data Across Documents and Presentations
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of linking numbers from sheets to multiple areas in a document filing or powerpoint.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that i could easily open items into a new page or tab instead of within the Workiva browser so that it's easier to review documents side by side without having to fully open a new browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making it very easy to perform our 10-K/Q filings, see changes in documents, and ensure consistency across all files.
Great UI Backed by Fantastic Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has been a great product to-date. The user interface is easy to navigate and accomplish tasks and the customer service team have been top-notch, with quick and helpful responses.
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many SEC filings that at times have repetitive information. Workiva allows us to efficiently develop, review, and file these, saving time and reducing potential errors.
Brilliant for Financial Reporting, Slight Delays Noticed
What do you like best about the product?
I like that multiple people can edit simultaneously in Workiva and we can track changes, which is great for collaboration. We can assign tasks easily, which helps in managing projects. I also appreciate the publishing feature where we can upload our papers and keep them in one place. The Workiva agent was very helpful during the setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The loading part takes time. Sometimes it crashes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva for financial reporting and certifications, solving the need for effective quarterly filings at 10-Q, 10-K. It allows multiple people to make edits, track changes, assign tasks, and has a publishing feature to store documents in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Workiva for its accessibility, which really helps in handling SEC Reporting tasks. It simplifies complex processes and is time-saving, making it easy to complete my work. The setup was pretty simple and straightforward, which I appreciate a lot.

Streamlined Financial Reporting with Ease
What do you like best about the product?
I use Workiva for drafting financial statements for our employee benefit plans. I love that it provides a one-stop shop for internal stakeholders and auditors to review the financial statements, eliminating the need to PDF and distribute them. The linking functionality is the best part for me, as it significantly reduces the time needed to roll statements from one year to the next by updating links throughout the statements with one click of the 'publish' button. The setup was easy, and for my purposes, it checks all the boxes.
