Outstanding Linking Features Enhance Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
I like the linking features in Workiva the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more keyboard shortcuts from Excel that I could replicate.

Workiva gives our team the opportunity to collaborate in real time. It allows us to be more efficient while simultaneously working remote.
Time-Saving SEC Reporting with Collaboration, Needs UI & Pricing Tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Workiva's collaboration features. These features are exceptional because they allow multiple people to work on the same document simultaneously without disrupting each other's workflow, which significantly enhances teamwork and productivity. Additionally, the audio track feature is another aspect I enjoy, as it combines with the collaboration tools to provide complete control and visibility over projects. This ensures that we can efficiently manage our tasks while maintaining clear communication and oversight.
What do you dislike about the product?

It should be more intuitive, similar to how Google Docs operates, where you don't need to click in and out of various windows to edit text.","The pricing model needs consideration. Workiva reduces error risks and saves time spent on manual reconciliation, enhancing SEC reporting and financial quality assurance. Its collaboration feature enables multiple users to work simultaneously, maintaining control and visibility.
Excellent Documentation, But Finding Past Submissions Is Challenging

Great documentation of control procedures and owners, easy to use and it has a nice dashboarding environment

Hard to view/find previously submitted control requests

Mainly used for auditing and working with third party consulting firms to ensure the company is meeting governance and audit requirements in different departments

What do you like best about the product?
I find Workiva incredibly valuable for streamlining my financial reporting tasks, as it allows me to manage and update various financial documents like balance sheets and cash flow reports efficiently. The integration capabilities are impressive, making it easy to connect data from different sources and keep everything synchronized. The user interface is very friendly, which made the setup process surprisingly smooth despite an initial learning curve. The support team has been incredibly helpful, providing great assistance when needed. Workiva has significantly improved collaboration within my team by enabling real-time updates, commenting, tagging, and shared access. The automatic audit trail feature that logs every change is phenomenal, as it enhances both compliance and transparency. I am particularly fond of the prebuilt templates for financial reporting that are aligned with industry regulations, as they save time and ensure consistency. Additionally, the platform's ability to integrate seamlessly with various data sources simplifies publishing financial data without issues. Overall, Workiva has proven to be an essential tool, offering key benefits like real-time collaboration, integration capabilities, user-friendliness, strong support, and efficient data management.

I dislike the limited customization options for reporting templates and dashboards in Workiva.

Workiva streamlines financial reporting by automating data management, enhancing collaboration, and ensuring compliance. It eliminates manual data entry, reduces errors and inconsistencies, and allows real-time document collaboration, boosting team efficiency.
Efficient Data Linking and Time Savings, But High Investment
What do you like best about the product?
Since its implementation, I have appreciated the data linking feature, particularly because updates are reflected across all reports, notes, and compliance documents. The reduction in closing time and the significant decrease in manual registration are also excellent benefits that I value in Workiva.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a good tool but I think the investment can be very high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool has been essential for helping us confidently comply with complex regulations, transforming the way we handle financial close and audit management by connecting these processes more effectively. It also enables us to address the new Carbon Accounting requirements in a manner that is fully auditable. Overall, it is excellent, significantly boosting both our efficiency and our ability to meet regulatory compliance.

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is used to execute and report audits, align risk assessments with corporate strategy, and support SOX compliance milestones.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva lacks robust workflow management tools and operational risk features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, GIA used multiple disconnected platforms , which created inefficiencies in planning, execution, reporting, and knowledge sharing.
Huge time-saver and intuitive software but comes at a cost
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is slick and intuitive. The software itself is easy to pick up and understand. The ability to store key data within the system and then have documents link back to the data is a huge time and sanity saver. The team was able to get us set up and using the system within days of signing the order form.
What do you dislike about the product?
While customer support can be very helpful, there are certain forms that they will not assist with despite the hefty price tag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva greatly simplifies the process of filing documents with the SEC over the traditional printer route. The ability to link data to a "spreadsheet" allows for mass updates of data rather than manually trawling through the document.
Excellent Linking Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite functionality is the linking capability so in a long document if you have a figure in multiple locations, if you need to update it you only need to use the reference point, as opposed to going through the entirety of a document and changing every instance.
What do you dislike about the product?
In excel I am able to highlight a group of cells and then right click and there is a "clear contents" button which doesn't delete the actual cells, just clears them. I wish they also had this in workiva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The collaboration and smooth implementation of our company's annual sustainability report.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Workiva's user-friendly interface, which makes the software very easy to work with on a daily basis. The efficiency it brings to our auditing tasks is notable, streamlining the process of passing tasks back and forth between team members effectively. It's fantastic for warehousing information, making data easily retrievable whenever needed. Furthermore, it helps upload and manage documentation associated with tasks seamlessly. My company finds it incredibly valuable for its auditing capabilities, and I've only heard good things about it from my colleagues. I am confident in its utility to such an extent that I would rate it a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 for recommendation.

I use Workiva primarily for auditing, as it facilitates task management between employees and stores information for easy retrieval.
