Using WDesk for financial reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Simple Word-like interface, parallel document editing for multiple users. Multiple features. Online track-change. One-stop shop for SEC filing. Customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to upload PDF files into WDesk. No multi-user track-changes mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick and easy financial reporting process. Updating numbers across the whole document when changes are made in TB or disclosure support.
Customizable, robust tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's helpful to have so many customizable options within the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The permissions within the tool can be confusing and contradictory at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the Workiva platform as our source of truth and recordkeeping, which helps to have consistency in our overall auditing practice.
Solid Audit and Compliance Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva makes it very easy to collaborate across teams and complete day-to-day audit task in a secure and trackable manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be clunky at times and the data connections (both importing and exporting) can be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping our team complete and track our audit work. Keeps data centralized and managed.

Easy way to maintain SEC documents in one

Sometimes processing form 3's and 4's can be challenging and set up isn't always intuitive

Easy to use and self explanatory, makes it easy to navigate

It "kicks" you out while you are working and need to log in back again

Workiva Simplifies Filing
What do you like best about the product?
Allows multiple teams to collaborate on the same documents and filings at the same time. Also, impressed by the implementation of EDGAR Next. The reference materials provided and the webcasts were key to our transition going as well as it did.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the editing features were more aligned with editing in Word. For example, if you are uploading an existing Word Exhibit document, you need to reformat it. The Workiva formatting panel/tools are burdensome compared to Word. Also, the margins (1" in Word is not 1" in Workiva) are not exactly the same in Workiva leading to different page breaks which causes issues if you have a Table of Contents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company has been using Workiva for quite a few years now. As a user of both the Reporting and Section 16 Modules, I don't think there is a specific problem they are helping us to solve but the product surely improves our productivity and process.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality and automation and have had no issues with integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to note yet. Prior to performing all of these steps within Workiva, we were manually performing all steps.
