Helpful but clunky vs. online versions of Google sheets and Excel
What do you like best about the product?
Colaborative nature and the linking of data, dates, titles, etc. Once you have a master file makes it much easier to keep track of everything
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality differs vs. excel and Google sheets. Additionally, with images the software can be slow.

Having numbers, titles, dates synced up across files.
Workiva-- An intuitive and effective solution for ESG data management
What do you like best about the product?
We previously had our sustainability data stored on multiple spreadsheets. It became difficult to keep track of all the spreadsheets. Updating data, access issues, editor privleges, multiple versions, etc. Workiva allows us to solve many of these issues. The data collection, analysis, and reporting process is now more streamlined and organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it is mostly intuitive, there is still a bit of a learning curve in terms of using the platform. It's a robust tool with many capabilities, but it takes time to learn how to fully use those functions.
Also, the initial standing up of the program is a big lift. This is not unique to Workiva, but getting all the initial historical data into the program takes time.

Ability to collaborate live with a very large team

Formula inputs sometimes get wonky and is not as smooth as GSHEETS or Excel

The ability for multiple users to access and work on multiple documents, the permissions options, the comments and formatting functionalities, and linking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Track changes is not different for each person. So if somebody makes a change in track changes, then another person removes that change, you'd never know it was ever there/drafted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wouldn't selected any of the above options... I would say "Financial Reporting".

Workiva is the best product compared to competitors
What do you like best about the product?
I think Workiva is great, but it takes some time to get used to the functionality. There is so much Workiva has to offer, you just have to take the time to ensure you're utilzing it to the best of it's ability. It is by far the best product in comparison to it's competitors. Quickly updates amounts, easy for reviewers, has ability to connect to your ERP and auto update financials. Great product!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve especially around formatting. Doesn't feel like we fully utilize all of Workiva's capabilities. We could use quarterly trainings from Workiva to ensure we are utilizing Workiva to it's full ability.

What do you like best about the product?
The biggest upside about using workiva is the linking of data from source files to the word docs. Allowing peace of mind when updating a figure or trial balance that the update will take place in every location that the figure exists. Also, the review aspects are extremely helpful. Allowing blacklines to be created based on milestones
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I wish workiva would add is the ability to use excel hotkeys and shortcuts on the workiva web app.

Adding tremendous efficiency to our financial reporting process
I love Workiva so much.

Workiva has made the Financial Reporting Process so much easier for our company. The ability to link between files, and embedded spreadsheets in presentations and documents has streamlined so many of our processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally it can get a bit glitchy and it often lags a little. And I'd love more updates with added formulas, but they are always coming out with new features and updates!

Workiva has increased the efficiency and accuracy of our Financials Reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Workiva helps with quickly updating financial statements, decreasing errors, and improving productivity. This is especially beneficial for the financial reporting team, as it limits our time checking for inconsistencies and allows for linking across various documents. I also like how multiple users can collaborate on the same document simultaneously and there are review features such as blacklines and track changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
With multiple tabs in the same document and a lot of data included, the software can get a bit clunky and slow. There are also still limitations that can affect productivity, such as not being able to restore an old version of a document and not being able to undo when you paste a range link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps with automating tedious parts of financial reporting, reducing the time spent on manual processes and minimizing errors and improving efficiency. Workiva also helps mitigate risk by providing a platform that is audit-ready and helps meet disclosure requirements for financial data.

I enjoy that it is user friendly, with familiar Microsoft Office-like features. I also enjoy the linking features.
