Workiva is the clear solution for financial reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has a very intuitive financial reporting platform. I can easily make formatting changes and ensure my document is SEC compliant. Workiva also allows me to integrate data from various sources, automating data linking across reports, and improving accuracy.
Workiva also allows multiple users to work simultaneously on documents, ensuring real-time updates and reducing version control issues. I can easily track my work through easy to generate redlines.
Workiva also provides great customer support. Any document or filing issue, I can get a hold of a Workiva specialist within minutes.

What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva can be a bit harder to use when formatting with images or insertion of objects, such as graphs. In general, customization options can feel limited at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In terms of SEC reporting, Workiva ensures we have strict version control over our document and through linking, ensures data accuracy. Its platform centralizes data, automates updates, and enhances collaboration, reducing manual errors and time spent on tasks.
Crucial tool for external reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has allowed our team to take our external reporting documents to the next level. The platform allows for team efficiencies, such as working together within the same document simultaneously, strategically saving milestones in order to review prior versions, and linking to one central file to ensure information is consistent through our reporting. The team at Wokiva has also been invaluable with XBRL tagging and ensuring our documents are prepared appropriately and timely for reporting deadlines. Our team uses Workiva almost daily, allowing our reporting to be a centralized and fluid process without cumbersome emails and instant messages. We easily integrated Workiva into our reporting process when our Company became public a few years ago.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a myriad of wonderful tools and functions that Wokiva offers, however, they are sometimes challenging to keep up with and implement right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva allows our team to successfully file SEC documents with XBRL tagging without having to have that specific exertise. Workiva also allows our team to update our reporting real-time keeping our process timely.
Really easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use. Being able to have multiple members of the team in the software at the same time is extremely helpful and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tie out functions can use stone upgrades. I did not find them very useful.

Workiva is making us easy for us to file our quarterly reports as a public company with the SEC.
Great product for collaboration and productivity

The product provides critical peace of mind around our earnings process and filing.

The formatting within the slides product is not as advanced.

Reduces the review process and helps iteration of our quarter-end work product.
Workiva Review
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to link documents, presentations, etc. makes data validation and updates very fast. Also the collaboration features are very nice so that we can share documents across various stakeholders and not have to worry about version control, missing comments, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva is one of the more expensive platforms in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Filing SEC documents, compiance with SOX, etc. Yes, Workiva is helping us achieve those objectives by providing a platform where we can collaborate effectively across stakeholders.

Workiva is a tremendous product
What do you like best about the product?
In my role as a Director of Financial Reporting using the SEC reporting function, I use Workiva on a daily basis. I have found that the platform is very intuitive for a first time user like myself. The platorm features mirror that of standard Microsoft office products, so implementation of desired outcomes is easy. My customer service representatives have been EXTREMELY responsive, both from an XBRL side and a general customer service side.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found many downsides. As I am new to my role I have found that while the platform is intuitive, there are SO MANY things it can do and so many taskbars on the sides of the SEC platform when in a document that I don't always know what they do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is making my job far less manual and assisting in the ease of filing with the SEC. The linking features mean that I do less checking of all my documents and the blackline features let me know what has changed since the last version and makes management's review of my work much easier. Ultimately, it saves us hours and hours of time.
streamlines reporting and presentations
What do you like best about the product?
works best for us to upload the data straight to the site and it populates all our presentations, releases, Q/K and other communications. It helps with making sure all the data is accurate. It is also a huge time saver.

Chart data isn't always easy to work with
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enhanced Data Accuracy and Control
Workiva has been the most incredible tool that has propelled our Financial Reporting team forward.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, frequency of use, number of features. All of these things and the ability to get incredible data quality linked across multiple reports has improved our Financial Reporting quality immensely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the Excel functions are a little bit outdated - you cannot change the full font in the Excel workbook, you can't upload a Word document as an Exhibit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data inconsistency between internal and external reporting teams has been greatly improved.
