I love Workiva's linking features, to be able to update data in one spot and populate out to multiple documents.

It is a little more difficult to use presentations in Workiva vs. spreadsheets and docs.

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva enables data collection, automation, and collaboration in a simple, seamless way. It takes so much out of our inboxes and manual documents, helping us prepare for assurance. Our ESG reporting process has never been smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's yet another tool for our colleagues who have to use many in their jobs and it's not always user-friendly for them. This is also a quickly evolving space so more features/updates are constantly needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data collection and auditability, real-time collaboration, audit trail of all changes, connection to multiple ESG reporting frameworks and standards

Replacing outdated reporting functions, WData, and other new functionalities.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, everything has been easy and an improvement over previous ways.

Nice Source of Truth for SOX
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has been a great repository for all things controls! Previously our team utilized sharepoint and spreadsheets for our RCM, testing, etc. We now have one system that stores all of our controls data and allows us to perform testing, exception tracking, and reporting all in one area!
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva still struggles in terms of permissions. While there has been improvement in this area, there is still some room for growth! Not all data sheets, data, etc can be permissioned on a data element level. In addition, reporting features can sometimes be a little clunky and require work arounds!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everyone collbarating in one place and having one source of truth has been great!

The vertical integration allows me to use less platforms!

This software is expensive and still in development

One Stop Shop
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the collaborative aspects of Workiva. Not only can we collaborate within our company but also with our external auditors. Additionally, the data and reporting features allow for easy management of controls and risk information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some downsides include the reporting aspects. Our team has had to turn to other platforms such as Tableau to create dashboards and other visuals as there are some limitations with the charts, tables, and dashboards in Workiva.

Workiva has allowed us to house all of our risk and controls procedures and data in one spot.
