Good experience with a clear platform
What do you like best about the product?
I used Workiva for a short time last year when I worked at a startup. The interface was very clear and easy to understand once I learned it. It helped me complete two important tasks: first, I used it to prepare an ESG report faster by connecting data from different places into one file. Second, I used it to work with my team on an internal audit report — we could all edit at the same time, which saved us a lot of back and forth. Overall, it made my work easier and faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me some time to understand how to set up the connections between data and documents. After I got used to it, it was much better, but it was not super easy at the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helped me save time by putting all the data in one place and making it easy to work with my team. Before, it was hard to collect information from different systems and update everything by hand. With Workiva, I could connect the data and update reports faster, with fewer mistakes. It also made teamwork much easier because we could all edit documents at the same time.
User-Friendly and Accurate for SEC Filings
What do you like best about the product?
I use Workiva predominantly for SEC filings and find it user-friendly and easy to navigate. It helps my team link data to financial reporting, ensuring consistency and accuracy. I really appreciate the ease of use. The comment feature is especially valuable as it allows me to leave comments in the document and see others', including responses to those comments. I also like the blackline versions that can be created. My team found it user-friendly, and we've expanded its use throughout the organization, with new users finding it easy to navigate as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing is coming to mind at the moment - would ask that they continue to look for ways to make it more efficient for users. I am not familiar with any artificial intelligence that they have or are considering implementing into the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Workiva user friendly, easy to navigate, and it helps my team link data to financial reporting for consistency and accuracy.
Workiva Overall Assessment
What do you like best about the product?
The automation reducing manual data entry, real-time collaboration, data integration, helps organize regulatory requirements, has an audit trail, good security and is user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is relatively expensive, customization can be limited and it can be too complex for smaller tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It eliminated all the emails back and forth both internally and externally during audits having a central repository for all the comments and documentation.
User friendly, familiar Financial Reporting tool
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to figure out and familiar feeling tool to microsoft suite.
What do you dislike about the product?
Copy and pasting is so similar to other softwares but just so slightly different

Allows real-time collaboration on financial reporting and disclosures in an everchanging reporting landscape.
Great people and product
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful aspect has been the people, particularly our Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Our CSM has been a dedicated partner since 2018 and is truly an extension of our team. His expertise in SEC and Edgar requirements and filings, combined with his deep understanding of our company's processes and business, has been invaluable. The guidance and advice he provides consistently enhance the quality of our filings. We also have a really positive rapport with, and appreciation for, our Sales Director, whose support we greatly appreciate.
In addition to the exceptional team, the Workiva platform itself is intuitive and functional. Its features have streamlined our processes and increased efficiency, while the robust controls and audit trails provide added confidence.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see Workiva's certification module more built out in the future. I believe there is a lot of opportunity to enhance its functionality and overall user experience.
Additionally, I have previously requested an improvement to the order of comments within projects. I understand this is on the roadmap, and I look forward to seeing this implemented.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our key requirements included the following and Workiva met them for us: version control management, comment management, and the ability for multiple users to collaborate and edit simultaneously to enhance efficiency. Additionally, we needed a robust tool capable of handling the substantial volume of numerical data and tables present in our reports.
Workiva is excellent and they know it
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Workiva. The capabilities are absolutely perfect for my company's reporting needs. The customer support is top of industry. Each new capability seems to only improve the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Workiva is the changes to the licensing model over the years. It seems like each new feature costs more and more, and it makes it difficult to keep up with the latest features.

Workiva is helping us to ensure one source of information for all of our reporting needs. It brings us peace of mind that the documents disseminated to external parties are in agreement with the most up-to-date information from our ERP.

Very often connection is very slow.
There are features to be improved such as - formulas, pivots.
There is no current way to share document with big group of people without giving access to each one to Workiva - for example group of 10000 people within one organization.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workvia unify all the data into one or two documents, instead to have many on the desktopn. By creating connections between the documents, its significantly reduces the time and automate the processes.
Life-Changing
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is life-changing in being able to create automations, set up tasks to review parts of documents, and facilitate reviews all within the document preparation, and every functionality is easy to use. Customer support is always willing to help when we have issues. My team is within Workiva daily to do all kinds of accounting workpapers, not just limited to 10-Q and 10-K preparation.

Nothing! Workiva makes everything easy to use and is constantly working to improve the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is eliminating manual consolidation and creation of footnote support, as well as copying and pasting support into the system through the use of Wdata.

Embedded documents don't function as well as being able to use Office apps
