Great App! Take some time to organize it all and it will return the favor.

What do you like best about the product?
I ended up paying for a personal account after reading numerous Reddit threads of people getting their identities stolen. The peace of mind is worth it! I spent just one solid afternoon setting it up with all of the logins I was previously using (all with the same password) and now everything is significantly more secure. I also didn't even think of adding personal information like healthcare, insurance, social security, birth certificates, passports, and other personal documents that are still somehow stored on paper these days. Knowing that if I lose my wallet or have damage to my car or property, I have digital storage of all my important documents gives me peace of mind.

Everything translates well between my work Mac, home Windows, and personal iPhone. That was a nice bonus.

The regular updates are reassuring, and it's nice that they are so small. No major downloads or time taken away waiting for it to reload.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the Chrome extension on my Mac bugs out and causes little issues like links and images not working on web pages. Normally, I just have to click the extension icon and Chrome works again like normal.

The organization of vaults, logins, and accounts can be confusing for lots of people. For teams, like any app, make sure everybody understands how it works and how to organize and name your passwords. When it's just a mad dash to save and store passwords by 50 employees, it gets messy really quickly.

Many of my iOS apps and websites don't detect password forms, therefore the 1Pass login button doesn't appear. I have to then switch apps and copy and paste the password manually. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For work, this has been incredibly helpful for when people are out of office. In a small startup environment where we can share passwords just by asking the person across the desk, knowing that everything is in 1Pass is nice.

After a while, everybody gets used to storing and filling passwords in it. No more asking "what's the login for...".

Finally, having company credit cards stored is a HUGE bonus. No more filling out 10 fields, hoping the business address is correct, and other such pains, on top of the security of asking your coworker to delete that message after you Slack them a picture of the credit card.

Reliable and solid

  • January 22, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s a very reliable application. It feels solid and it doesn’t ever surprise you. I think that sometimes it can be great for an app to push the boundaries of what’s considered normal – however when you’re dealing with passwords, you don’t want to feel like you can’t figure out how to get to them at any point.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumping between 1Password’s organisation buckets, called Vaults, can be a little bit confusing at times as it’s easy to store a password in the wrong vault.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nobody ever asks “does anybody know the password to...?” anymore, and all of our passwords are unique.

Great product I recommend to my colleagues

  • January 20, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Security, convenience in the application, and the browser.
Simple enough for the average computer user.
What do you dislike about the product?
The windows application has been having some issues for me.
After one update, the application would crash after starting up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having completely different passwords for many different accounts, so that if any accounts get compromised, the impact is just to that account.
Easy interface to search all passwords that have not been changed in more than 6 months, so I know what passwords could do with a rotation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are not already using a password manager, 1password can be a great start to at least stop you using the same passwords on many sites. Once you start to use the application frequently, you can start to use more of the keyboard shortcuts, so that entering passwords is much faster with 1Password even if you have a password that is 60 characters long!

Excellent Password Manager

  • January 19, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can create unique passwords for all of my logins and services without worrying about losing them. I can even go through and see which passwords are duplicates and change them so that they are all different.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I make a new password in the browser it messes up my web page on Chrome, but a browser refresh/restart fixes this. I expect this will be fixed soon if it isn't already.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password has helped me maintain the security of all of my sensitive material, especially since I work from home.

    Computer Software

Simplified password management for work and home.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that I can click one button and it will open the specified URL and automatically fill in my username and password for me. I feel like this is a safer option than just saving my login information on the browser as it is behind a secure password protected piece of software. I also love the fact that I can manage my personal passwords in a separate vault than my work passwords. It also allows me to share my work passwords with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how the browser helper pops up to ask me if I want to save a password every time I log in to a site, especially when it is a login which has already been saved. I understand this is (and has been) very useful when you want to save a new password for a site, but it sometimes feels like it is intrusive to my workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1 Password allows my team to manage passwords for our clients while meeting standards for security required by some of our higher profile clients. Also if we need to change a password, it is changed for everyone at the same time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you get the mobile app as well so you can manage and access your passwords on all of your devices.

Powerful Features Across Devices

  • January 17, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password does a great job of syncing across devices. The UX is very similar and familiar regardless of the platform being used, which makes it easy to switch between them. The permissions and sharing features are also very well designed and have covered all of my use cases so far. I also like the way letters, numbers, and symbols are formatted for easy reading.
What do you dislike about the product?
The things I dislike are all done in the name of security. It's probably not fair to complain about them, but for the purposes of full disclosure: you are automatically logged out too quickly and you have to use a special key in addition to your username and password. These things make the product more secure, but are a noticeable interruption to my workflow. I also do not like the browser plugin because it requires having the native app install as well. At that point it makes more sense to just use the native app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved data security by not sharing passwords in Google Docs. Password management now requires much less overhead, while passwords are still easily accessible by the people who need them. Important passwords are also still accessible after an employee leaves.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A huge benefit for administrators, but the cost is high enough that we haven't rolled it out for all employees yet. We still use other methods to share non-critical passwords. I suggest starting the rollout among a small group that needs to share passwords the most, then adding other users as needed.

Great Product

What do you like best about the product?
I love the security of this system, and that I do not have to memorize 100 different passwords
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the most user-friendly interface in my opinion
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to hold information for all our developer accounts and company accounts without having an issue of people resetting passwords etc.

Powerful password management

  • January 03, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to access and fill passwords. The combination of native app and browser extension makes it simple to find my logins with a keyboard shortcut or right-click. I also like that I can backup my passwords to third-party cloud storage, and keep them synced over multiple devices without having to trust 1password to store the data itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Other password managers allow you to automatically fill logins, 1password doesn't seem to have this capability. The keyboard shortcut/right click isn't hard by any means, but I do appreciate the auto-fill feature in similar apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can keep my accounts secure by using unique, complex passwords without having to memorize them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare it to other password managers for sure. I use LastPass for personal passwords, which has its own flaws, but might be better than 1password for you.
