The best password manager!
What do you like best about the product?
It has a very smooth cross-platform experience and saves generated passwords. This is a huge deal if you forget to copy a generated password while making a (throwaway) login and all of a sudden get locked out of your account.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the expense of sounding cheap, I don't like how it isn't free. HOWEVER, the family plan price is very reasonable. Also, having a family plan helps you share passwords amongst your friends/family. That being said, I find the vault situation a bit clunky and has the potential to create an exponential explosion of vaults when you're trying to set up fine-grain sharing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I want to keep a collection of strong AND unique passwords across my various logins so that if anyone site gets compromised, it doesn't take down my entire internet identity with it. The benefit of having one master password take care of all of the others is a massive cognitive benefit.
My google doc with passwords is no more!
What do you like best about the product?
Super secure, easy to use, makes sharing secrets super easy. I really like different categories of secrets and integrating with personal secrets. Much better than a google doc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, it really fulfills everything I've needed. I usually don't like re entering my password to open 1pass, but I set it to be 4 hrs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the problem of efficiency!! Usually secrets would be pass across some other secure method that isn't actually secure (think slack or private message), but this is great.
Hands-down the best password and secure content manager
What do you like best about the product?
We use the family plan, and it's super simple to help manage the logins and passwords for everyone, whether it's a personal login or a shared login for the family. Because our vault is encrypted and hosted on 1P's secure servers, I don't need to worry about losing my data, or having it hacked. I love that they keep expanding features and including additional content types you can store in the vault.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's almost nothing I dislike about 1Password, I haven't found anything to complain about after all these years!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Logging in to websites is easy across all my devices using either my fingerprint or face recognition. I don't need to remember any passwords and I can keep long, random, unique passwords for every service I use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give the stand-alone version a trial, then consider signing up for their hosted account - totally worthwhile.
Easy to use software to add a level of security to all aspects of work/life
What do you like best about the product?
1Password makes creating complex passwords super easy. It also helps to make complicated passwords to fit the specific parameters of each website. You can store passwords, 2fa codes, credit cards, API keys, and so much more.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of the ability to integrate the software using an API. The only way to connect and automate 1Password account creation is through a SCIM bridge. It would be nice to have a simple O.Auth sort of API to connect our 1Password instance to other software more easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password makes our accounts more secure but done in a way that does not make users jump through hoops. IT/Security is more productive because we don't need to worry as much about users using secure passwords on their company accounts.
1Password is a must-have for password management
What do you like best about the product?
It does what it's supposed to do - manage all-things password related. As the name suggests, I know one password, the master password to my 1Password database and all the others are 25 random characters.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It does everything I could ask for and more. They're regularly updating the app and adding new features, and auto-fill functionality to new websites that use more esoteric login methods.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating, managing and auto-filling 3,000+ passwords securely with backup security
One password for literally everything!
What do you like best about the product?
1Password allows for easy password automation with all browsers. It also integrates with Azure and other programs that we have. Onboarding is very simple as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
1Password doesn't have a trial option or free password so you need to be committed that your users will use it. Our users will need some training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It also allows for password and credit card storage. Users can feel safe that their private sensitive information is also safe while at work.
The Standard Choice for Password Managers
What do you like best about the product?
1Password is simple and just works while still offering advanted features. Especially the sharing option is a huge advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their new Linux client is still in beta and has some problems, but nothing unexpected for a beta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password helps you create and manage unique and secure passwords for all the logins you have. It also allows managing shared passwords in a team or family.
I've been using it personally for over a decade, and switched our company over to 1Password Teams
What do you like best about the product?
It is extremely user friendly, works across different systems (mobile, desktop, browsers) and managing teams is really easy, too. I love all of the protective features that keep getting added, like letting us know if there's a duplicate password, or when a particular website has been compromised. It's truly the one tool I couldn't live without. I'm really happy we switched to it from LastPass for our company, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any issues or downsides to the tool. I think it is well coded, has been stable and only gotten better over the years. I'm happy to invest in keeping it going long term!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to quickly onboard new team members and add them to groups, so we don't need to individually share passwords or sensitive information in an un-safe way thanks to 1Password.
Great for both business and personal
What do you like best about the product?
Over time, I've amassed thousands of passwords in my corporate and personal life. 1Password helps me save tons of time, creating unique passwords for every website, organizing them, and backing up an encrypted file to Dropbox. It works great on both Apple and Android - with easy biometric logins for both.
What do you dislike about the product?
Transitioning to a new account resulted in a duplication of all my passwords, which has become annoying to update. Other than that, everything has been smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While colleagues and friends have had their accounts 'hacked.' This has never been a problem for me -> it provides me with ease of mind and tons of time saved not resetting logins. Also, 1Password stores my credit card details and other account details. So whenever I have issues like a wallet being stolen, I can quickly reference my account details to resolve issues.
1Password is an essential tool to protect your accounts
What do you like best about the product?
1Password is both powerful and flexible. Mobile and desktop apps ensure that I have access to the app to generate and save new passwords when I create new accounts and to access passwords when I log int to my apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
On iOS, it's a bit of a multi-step process to access the app to get my passwords when I'm logging in to something. I don't think it's 1Password's fault, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need my accounts to be protected using strong passwords and MFA. However, strong and differentiated passwords can be difficult to remember so 1Password does the heavy lifting for me.
