Easy to install and manage, good service

Out of the box installation. Simple tool to manage spam control. Reliable product.

Some automatic emails template are only in english

Great Product for Email Protection
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about proofpoint is that the product does exactly as advertised. The email spam in our environment has dropped and end users are no longer loaded with spam.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike is I believe the interface needs a facelift. Could be a little easier to navigate for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problems we are solving is preventing bad emails from reaching our end users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Proofpoint is a simple tool to get the job required done, which in this case is ensuring that spam mail does not reach our end users.

What do you like best about the product?
Effective protection against spam, phishing and other threats. Useful spam report delivered to inbox to monitor activity and flexibility in determining own policy for exceptions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Everything works just fine and I am satisfied with the product.

Sometimes Proofpoint worked too well

Proofpoint did not allow any spam to be delivered in my inbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Proofpoint worked too well, there were many times that I would mark my vendor emails as safe, but they would still end up in the Proofpoint filter, which would be frustrating.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that we can rest assured that we are protecting our end users and our company at a high level again email fraud, attachment defense and malicious urls.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complexity of managing rules and policies.

Email filtering and protection. Proofpoint protects us from viruses, email fraud, etc.

Proofpoint is a full-featured email filtering product that works effectively.
The software does a decent job!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup and maintain. Daily report of blocked emails. Easy to release or block spam.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a little outdated, but other than that I really don't have many complaints. It performs it's designed functions pretty well without a lot of hands on effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Useful for Spam, email recovery when outages occur. When email is down Proofpoint holds all email that has not yet been delivered and it can be opened and viewed from the user web interface. No new email cannot be created or sent, but the ability to still receive and review does work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are thinking about using this software I would suggest you do the trial first and this will help you understand how easy it is to use and maintain.

While it performs well the interface is over convoluted with settings that would be well served if data option driven

The entire interface is too much. Display admin stuff to admins and else to respective teams

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use as an end user of the product and configuration. The web interface is generally pretty easy to use. We could brand the product to fit our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing specific to dislike in the product, It performs core functions well with minimum maintenance and oversight. While branding is possible the UI is dated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spam Firewall, email recovery during outages. Proofpoint has been valuable during times when internal email environment has been down because it holds mail that has not yet been delivered to Exchange and it can be opened and viewed. Of course new email cannot be created or sent, but receipt and review is possible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are hosting email in in your own exchange environment Proofpoint is a great choice for SPAM and as an edge based email continuity platform. Those currently in the cloud or planning to move to office 365 might want to consider other more integrated solutions

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to receive notifications when a user actually clicks a link within a potential phishing email. Email notifies the sender, receiver and the link that was clicked on. This helps when phishing emails are able to slip through, we have visibility when users fall for phishing emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main management panel could use some cosmetic improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting users against phishing emails which protects are company from malware infections, ransom ware, and leaked data.
