Proofpoint Review - End user Perspective
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I trust it. It has less positives. The threats identified are more accurate than others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I get frustrated with the many dashboards and different pages. Having more things on 1 page would be easier to see.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem is simple. There are tons of phishing emails targetting my company. This protection is vital if my company wants to contiue business with less risk of user account compromise or more.
Best Email Security Platform
What do you like best about the product?
We replaced our on-premise secure email gateway and implemented ProofPoint nearly 10 years ago. It was the best decision! Proofpoint configuration is very flexible and always meets our requirements. The guided implementations helped us quickly deploy the solution. The user admin interface is complex and a bit dated, but they are progressing. Users have no interaction other than spam digests and email protection is great.
We have added many services/components to our Proofpoint solution and the complexity does lead to many dashboards, but once you get used to it, it becomes easy to use. Overall, I would rate Proofpoint a 10 and I feel comfortable with Proofpoint protecting email which we feel is the largest security threat vector!

What do you dislike about the product?
Email protection is great, but when we have problems identifying why mail was blocked or not it is complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint is a very comprehensive email security suite. It combines machine learning, threat detection, and sender management to effectively block malicious emails and safeguard organizations against evolving threats.
Great Product and customizable
What do you like best about the product?
I like that its up to date with new phishing like QR codes. Always nice to be able to customize the rules and block items that aren't needed

The cloud interface is a little slow at times and you need to learn how to search for items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps the spam down and protects us from phishing emails. Users don't spend a lot of time wondering or calling vendors to make sure that emails are real or fake.

What do you like best about the product?
PP Email Security + Protection has a plethora of options and configurations that can be used to secure your organization, and it plays well with other solutions in order to facilitate other aspects of your security program, such as phishing reporting, etc. It is also very easy to use the console. It was very easy to set up and configure, and the consultants are true experts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support can take a while to get back to you (even considering the SLAs) and will frequently take quite a bit of back-and-forth to resolve an issue. There are some instances where legitimate "bulk" email will get flagged/quarantined and requires exceptions to be made for those emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The product helps secure email in transit through encryption. It helps filter out a substantial amount of spam/bulk emails. It allows us as administrators (as well as users) to block malicious or unwanted senders. The reporting of suspicious emails is enabled through the product (as well as another product, PSAT/Phishalarm). The integrations with other PP products is quite nice and allows for a "one vendor" approach rather than having to worry about integrating the various products in a haphazard way.
Simple yet powerful email security tool
What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint has a simple web interface and a centralized place called Logs Search to view all emails, and from the same place you can perform various actions on quarantined emails, it is so simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Web interfaces sometimes behave unstable and pages take so long to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email Phishing attacks were one of the major security vulnerabilities that we used to face, but now with ProofPoint as the first line of defense for our email security, we can prevent phishing attacks by automatically quarantining suspicious emails.
Glad we made the switch to Proofpoint
What do you like best about the product?
Once you get settled in to an email security partner, it seems daunting to move services and make all the connector switches that need made. The onboarding team at Proofpoint was great and let us take our time to make sure this transition was seamless for our users. We also felt confident that our protection was improving after taking time to run a POC where we saw several malicious emails get past our former vendor and land in inboxes and get placed in their on-hold queue.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only change we're hoping they complete soon is improving the Admin portals. We're having to access a few different panels to gain full access to the service. They are working on that and know the process could be improved. However, for the improvement in protection and the reduction in our yearly contract rate, the trade-off is worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stopping phishing attacks and BEC's are the biggest for us. We are seeing an increase in both and Proofpoint proved they are one of the best in the business at keeping that junk out of our inboxes.

I like how proofpoint filters the emails we receive for security. Preventing posibilities of hacking,securing sensitive information.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little bit complicated to get codes since you'll need to access your proofpoint account first and apply changes on the particular email you want to extract out.

It's helping the users stay protected and safe from scams and spams.

What do you like best about the product?
You have all the necesary information in order to perform additional investigations. It has multiple features which are great in terms of security actions like quarantime email, release quarantine, delete, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web interface can be improved for some of their products. The interface should be more easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint's solutions help us strength our email security posture. Having all the e-mails filtered by the solution helps us in our daily purpose of reducing threats that may target our users. It has beneficial features like the identification of the users who clicked on an unwanted URL which helps us narrow our investigations, the posibility to delete e-mails from user's inboxes and also others.

Works great for blocking potential spam.
What do you dislike about the product?
Proofpoint blocks IP addresses of valid, non-compromised email servers that affect deliverability of business emails to customers. Despite having an un-block request form, support requests go unanswered. Customer support is non-existent, which ultimately negatively impacts my business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint maintains IP blocklists for blocking spam servers. Clearly these are not regularly updated.
