Great tool to keep you away from spam and phishing
What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint Email Security and Protection filters emails received by users, keeping them away from SPAM, Phishing and any malicious kinds of emails.
It also allows users to quarantine emails and send them for further analysis, or move them.
Another great thing about this software is that it constantly improves by learning at users use it, so it will be better and better as time goes by.
Lastly, allows users to move emails to a low priority inbox, so if they receive an email and it's not suspicious but the user don't want that in their mailbox, they can check on that later.
It also allows users to quarantine emails and send them for further analysis, or move them.
Another great thing about this software is that it constantly improves by learning at users use it, so it will be better and better as time goes by.

What do you dislike about the product?
Even though this is not a big of a deal, the implementation of Proofpoint Email Security and Protection was a bit confusing for our users. Problem solved with simple documentation.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint Email Security and Protection is being used by us as an email gateway kind of thing. It filters and gets rid of unwanted emails (SPAM, Phishing and other malicious emails) that users receive all the time.
It's a pretty good application that learns with time to improve even more the protection it provides users with, making the experience better as it goes.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep an eye on your digest (kind of quarantined emails report) to check your quarantined emails periodically.If something in there is actually not spam or phishing you can send it to your actual inbox with a couple clicks.
Also, as it learns with time, whenever you have the chance, mark emails as SPAM and do what you can to allow ProofPoint Email Security and Protection provide you with a continuously better experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoints product is extremely customizable, but all of the core functionality is constantly being updated without need for admin intervention.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be too many things to configure, sometimes you need managed services/support to assist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spoofing and phishing are almost issues of the past for us. There is very little intervention on our side because the Proofpoint SoC does most the work for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is best in breed for a reason, it does everything and is easy to work with.

The product is easy to use and very efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Different sites for their modules. But don't worry they are working on consolidating them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to block a lot of junk that our old service missed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please take advantage of the Technical Account Manager. They are well worth the money. They make sure that your configuration is up to date, keep track of any updates, and track your support tickets. I recommend using TRAP it is an amazing tool that takes away some of your management tasks.
Sometimes bad actors don't weaponize their emails until you click on a link or perform some other action. When it is realized to be bad TRAP removes the email from the original users email and anyone else's email that may have received it.

Best Email Security and Protection a business can buy!
What do you like best about the product?
What I love the most about this is how much protection, notification and reporting you can receive, as well as the interaction between the email users and how they can properly manage there inboxes. Remapping of URL with in the body of the email is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud instance seems a little slow when first login into it, but once your in its fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to quarantine and mark potential threats, span and malware. As well as receive notification on possible threats, when the users click potential dangerous or non-legitimate url links.

It does the job and does it well !
Very good product with Granular security policies and high detection
What do you like best about the product?
The most I like about proofpoint email security is that it is very granular when it comes to the policy configuration and high and accurate detection rate. We can utilize all the features like Sand-boxing, AV Scanning, SPAM protection, Information Protection and Encryption with a single product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall the product is very good and very rich of features. The only downside to me is that there should be more option and variety of different reports that we can run and present to the management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The detection rate has been improved and is more accurate now. Now we don't have any false positives, they are very less now. We have more granular controls now for policy and rules configuration.

Its a very nice product with good and accurate detection capabilities. Very granular for policy configuration
Solve challenges regarding email security
What do you like best about the product?
The browser for email sent or received is quite comprehensive in Proofpoint. The rules for email can be programmed very interestingly and it allows for granular monitoring of upstream and downstream addresses. It makes sure that messages from our company are safe for our clients and confirm whether they come from stated private email messages. You may also mark emails in the body of the email with some sort of spam warning and explicitly send them to everyone accused of being spam.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the URL Filter function is good, it tends to hide the URL in any way it can be interpreted. The user interface is somewhat obsolete and still has plenty to change. Also, service management could be simplified more quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My whole business uses Proofpoint Email Security and Protection. Our Backend email service is Office 365 and it operates without any issues, this helps with many of the challenges regarding email security that we even didn't know about. Through our continuous learning, Proofpoint takes a great deal of deviation out of the process for our clients on how to look for questionable emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Proofpoint Email Security and Protection is an adequate solution for medium-sized companies, particularly where complex sorting is required. It will allow every agency to have its own email regulatory requirements, and ProofPoint can be very helpful to handle this tool. It will provide any organization with very strong inbound and incoming email streams.

Proofpoint truly brings smart analytics to email hygiene. They help you understand what is attacking you, and often why as well, rather than just stopping malicious activity and calling it a day.

Being an on-prem customer has started to feel like being a second-class citizen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to maintain secure partnerships within the medical and financial industries while keeping out unwanted entities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with Proofpoint On Demand rather than on-prem; features are coming to the POD service at least a year or two ahead of when they reach in-house appliances.
A great defense toward spam
What do you like best about the product?
ProofPoint spam detection is very accurate, as it captures spam emails before they enter the mailbox. Also, it allows you to create a corporate blacklist of domains, SMTP accounts or a malicious IP. Also, when the servers are open, the mail instead spools, and users can sign in from outside to search the address. This is only one instance to insure that emails never are sent out in cleartext.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although its general performance is good, we get plenty of emails and still think some Proofpoint capacities are still lacking. I would like to be able to delegate in a more granular way the workers in the helpdesk. Also, it is almost impossible to decode connections once they are published by ProofPoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use ProofPoint Email Security as our main defense toward spam and other privacy risks, to receive the external emails in our enterprise and for email persistence whether our internal exchange servers are down or not. As this is our primary email protection tool, it is used by all our clients. We wanted a service that could manage higher levels of email traffic and ProofPoint is one of the strongest email software products on the market right now. Also, it allows us to send safe mail to our clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would say that Proofpoint Email Security and Protection is definitely appropriate for small to medium-sized companies, as this is the right environment where I believe Proofpoint exalts the granularity.

What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint Email Security and Protection gives users a list of blocked emails and allows them to publish them when they are valid emails. Also, it provides URL Filtration, so the Proofpoint will rewrite URLs in email messages to a firewall site that doubles-checks URL if the user enters one. This way, it can identify and avoid approximately 99 percent of spam which is shown in available documents. Users can also decide if they want a disabled address or post it without IT assistance in their inbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, it is complicated to set up an interface path by multiple areas. If you search for addresses, the address looks weird on most occasions. Also, we can not retain mail for further than a week in the evacuated directory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint Email Security and Protection is used in all our subsidiaries, although it is mainly handled by the IT department. In most cases, it prevents our customers from receiving unwanted emails and phishing scams. Proofpoint provides a good sorting mail that reduces the amount of cyber attacks and helps us to include certain exemptions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Proofpoint Email Security and Protection is suitable for small companies with only a few IT resources. If they integrate it with a cloud service provider, it will work just fine. However, if you don't receive too many emails, you could probably continue to avoid most bad messages in a small office while using Office365.
