Affordable Project Management for growing teams

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's affordable for small teams like ours, being 3 team members. Receiving updates on task status via email and in the app is very helpful as a manager. I also love being able to create a task from email. I'm looking forward to integrating Zapier to further our efficiencies with onboarding clients using Asana. Templates for onboarding have also been very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a service based business trading our time for income, it is difficult to easily see the cost per team member for time spent on projects. There are custom fields you can create and formulas to work this out, but I have not had success with the formulas to calculate the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily see which tasks are upcoming or overdue for each of our clients.

The only PM tool our agency has used

What do you like best about the product?
There are enough guardrails to keep things consistent but enough flexibility to make it specific to our agency.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few specific features (or lack of features) that frustrate me. And I have no hope of them being resolved since Asana seems unresponsive to user feedback. Example: I checked the knowledge bank this morning about one issue/feature, and it's been a complaint since 2018!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and Resource management across employees and contractors. Asana is our agency's single source of truth — No email. No Slack. Just Asana.

Awesome!

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the Asana's streamlined and thoughtful design. It improves my ability to effectively organize tasks, visualize processes, and collaborate with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't necessarily a dislike, but Asana is a bit overwhelming. There's so much possibility, I need to take it one step at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me track my tasks, projects, and workflows in a centralized and clear manner. Previously, I had been tracking them in a document that only I had access to, and while helpful to me, it was not helpful to my full team.

Unclutter your schedule and get stuff done.

What do you like best about the product?
I really find the ability to create a task, directly from an email, to be the feature I use the most.
The library of training videos are extremely helpful.
The live training is not like any other training I have seen.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found a downside. There are so many options and so much to learn that it can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get overwhelmed when my inbox it too full. Using Asana allows me to prioritize my tasks and focus only on what I need to do today.

Asana for work task organization

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing with Asana is that I can break larger projects into small daily tasks. I can organize what team member is doing what for each project and the entire team can see who has what assigned and what day the tasks should be completed. This helps reduce multiple people working on the same task, and it helps break the project into chunks that are manageable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful to have an area where we can comment on or ask questions on the tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping us not duplicate work, and breaking a larger project into manageable chunks with defined roles.

Asana is the best!

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the best project management tool for myself, my team, and my agency clients. I couldn’t do all the things I do in a day without Asana. Being able to create due dates and recurring tasks for myself, my team, and my client is the one thing that makes my client experience next level!

I always recommend Asana to my coaching clients as well because I love it so much and I attribute my success to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s nothing that I dislike! I would love some project templates from Asana though!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us stay on track and get everything done by the required deadlines.

Keeps us on track!

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ASana has many tools that are continually updated to help keep our teams on track through various projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The best is also the worst. With the constant changes, it can be challenging to navigate the new tools to retain the exact workflow we are accustomed to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of many clients and teams working on an individual and integrated basis.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how user friendly it is. I like the organization of the dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside is that I am not able to use it at my job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solves an organization problem. What we are using is not meant for project management.

Asana has been a life saver!

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One thing that I have loved about Asana is how organized it is. I can have all my tasks organized to the way I like. I also enjoy creating rules to place my completed tasks into a specific section. I also think Asana is very user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think one thing that is a little difficult to understand is the rules verbiage. I feel like sometimes when I want to create a rule I am not sure what the verbiage means and so I am spending more time on testing the rule then it being quick.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped us solve being organized and creating templates that we can use every single day that make our lives a lot easier.

Arctic Digitalization with Asana

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We initially chose Asana to take our project management to the next level as our company was growing and communication through email or messengers was no longer enough. It became essential to track projects clearly, receive status notifications, and respond quickly to changes.

Over time, we truly moved to a new level of work. The team has started to genuinely enjoy the process — we’ve passed the first stage of mindset transformation and built a solid foundation around our core projects.

We upgraded to the Advanced Plan, which significantly changed how management operates. Now we use Goals for strategic alignment, Reporting for visibility, and Portfolios for executive-level oversight. This is a completely different level of structured and transparent work.
What do you dislike about the product?
One improvement that would significantly help our workflow is a native integration between Asana Forms and Google Sheets.

For example, we use forms to collect employee timesheet data. That data needs to be calculated and processed in Google Sheets. Currently, we have to rely on Google Forms → Google Sheets → Make integration → Asana to move the data properly.

A direct and automatic export or sync from Asana Forms to Google Sheets would simplify the process, reduce dependencies on third-party tools, and make operational workflows much more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a department that deals with operations in the Arctic - measuring ice thickness. We also provide training to the local community. We have more than 30 communities, and it all turned into a large amount of data with a bunch of separate folders, tables, and numbers. Asana allowed us to structure it into teams and corresponding projects. Now everyone knows where to look for information. No need to ask managers for anything
