Asana: A Game-Changer for Project Management

  • April 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana continues to be the backbone of our daily operations. It's helps us keep our projects on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a lot of work to put the framework together. I have been interested in changing our templates but it is a big project and requires a great deal of time. I wonder if this has changed with their implementation of AI
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Asana, we struggled with scattered communication, unclear responsibilities, and a lack of visibility into project progress. Important details were often buried in email threads, tasks would fall through the cracks, and deadlines were missed simply due to lack of coordination.

Asana solves all of this by centralizing our work in one place. It gives us a clear structure for task assignments, timelines, and accountability. Everyone knows who’s doing what, by when—and how their work fits into the bigger picture. It eliminates guesswork, reduces duplicated efforts, and gives us real-time insight into how projects are tracking.

With Asana, we’ve moved from reactive to proactive project management, improving efficiency, accountability, and overall team collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is a very specific way to keep myself and my colleagues accountable. I also love the rewarding feeling of accomplishing a task and getting a rainbow or unicorn celebration on my screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that assigning tasks is not intuitive. For my organization, I need to go to the specific group before assigning a task instead of doing it on the homepage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A central location for all tasks

Project Management for Expert Tech Wizards

  • April 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very flexible and has a great set of out of the box connected applications (i.e. Microsoft Outlook)
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up Asana is confusing and sometimes it seems like there are too many features all packed into one thing. Unless you are an expert in project management setup and understand all the moving parts of different views, it's quite difficult to understand. Also, if you want one task to be assigned to multiple users, you have to duplicate that task. That is just wildly overcomplicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management for our small non profit. We are using it for managing incoming requests and our overall project tracking.

Helpful Organizing Tool with Caviat

  • April 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana make it easy to organize your tasks, collaborate with others, and monitor workflow statuses. We use it daily to keep track of all tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some features that seem to have some bugs, such as task dependency needing to be readded every time a recurring task is generated. Some of the rules also don't seem to function as they should. You do have to put in quite a bit of time to get Asana up and working the way you need it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It houses tasks, processes, and information for all projects

What I appreciate most about Asana is its ability to streamline collaboration across teams. The platform’s intuitive interface and customizable workflows make it easy to manage projects efficiently, stay aligned on priorities, and ensure accountability throughout the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Asana is a powerful project management tool, I’ve found that its interface can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for new users. Additionally, the lack of advanced reporting features in the basic plan can be limiting for teams that need deeper data insights.

It helps streamline workflows, reduces the need for excessive email communication, and ensures everyone is aligned on priorities and deadlines. This has significantly improved our team's efficiency, allowing us to manage projects more effectively and deliver results with greater consistency.
