Systems for my Life & Work
What do you like best about the product?
Having used Asana for 10+ years across multiple organizations and in my personal life, my list of hearts is long: I love it's customizable (Kanban board for me; checklist for my teammates!); it's user-friendly (click to choose from built-in drop downs); time-saving (I receive a daily tasklist of upcoming and items that are due); a built-in implementation list (I onboarded a number of team members across multiple departments with ease).
Asana is my daily go-to app -- it's how I start my day, end my day, and mark progress throughout my day (yay for funny creatures celebrating task completions!)

What do you dislike about the product?
I recently changed domains and found the shuttling of data to be a little less smooth than I needed. Asana does provide CSVs for export and again importation of the same, so all of my project data was retained, though a bit messy on the new domain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, I use Asana to build and run my consulting business and to manage life's tasks in the separate, personal space (same login). The simplicity of template tasks, projects, and custom rules automate many tasks and decreases time spent on basic project management.
I'm able to manage the many elements of running a business across multiple projects: client pipeline; knowledge capture & sharing; marketing; business administration.
I also love the feature of collaborating with external stakeholders! I'm able to work with designers; data analysts; etc on a one-off basis in Asana without having to invest much time in permissions.

My goal is to see the unicorn when I complete a task
What do you like best about the product?
I love sharing the projects and ensuring that everybody on the team is updated on how the product is developing. I also love the feature of sending emails notifying people. Also, I love that we can create templates for projects so we do not have to redo them every time we have one.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is probably just that some people not used to having their to-do list on the computer do not use Asana and ask for updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can have my agenda in any device and know my workload instantly.
Great sensemaking tool
What do you like best about the product?
Once people commit to diving into learning Asana, they are pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use. The Asana team is also very committed to making the tool better, which means the more you use it the better it is at recognizing your patterns.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how some people are incredibly averse at learning a new tool. One of the things that doesn't help is that when we use our templates, team memebers get overwhelmed with the automatic notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team is scattered across the country, so the platform helps us stay organized by being transparent.
A tool I wish I had years ago!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to organize tasks across various projects, assign company-wide follow-ups, and manage privacy settings for individual tasks is incredibly helpful. Asana helps keep both me and my team organized, punctual, and focused, allowing us to handle several projects at once. I find it to be an excellent tool not only for project management but also for a range of other activities. I rely on Asana every day to manage my many responsibilities. As a project manager, I can see how Asana would have been transformative for handling multiple large-scale, multidisciplinary global projects in the past!
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating workflows and not being able to easily edit or move sub-tasks from one task to another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication, assigning, and tracking company-wide tasks
Does what I need it to do in straightforward way
What do you like best about the product?
I like getting notified via when a collaborator has responded to an open issue/project. Easy to learn and use. I do love when you complete something and you get a rainbow colored animal flying across your screen!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to remember where comments are -- in tasks or in subtasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We collaborate with our Salesforce consultant through Asana. It helps us keep projects moving outside of our regularly scheduled meetings.
Asana has revolutionized my already good organizational skills.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how it helps me keep track of my progress on projects with multiple tasks that may not all get done in one sitting. I like being able to asign it to days, repeat and move as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I so not have any dislikes nor complaints about Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me record progress on projects with tasks.
Intuitive project management platform
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Asana for years across different organizations in different industries. It's the most intuitive project management platform I've used. I love that it's easy for new people to hop on and start using it with very little training.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenge with Asana from my perspective is getting everyone on the team to use it in the same way. When done right Asana is easy to navigate and good for collaboration. When people are using it in different ways, it can be difficult to find things and follow the project flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asans helps keep our work on track. It provides visibiitly across the team and serves as a helpful warehouse of information on past projects.
Efficient, User-Friendly Tool for Seamless Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has revolutionized the way I manage projects. Its intuitive interface and customizable workflows allow me to stay organized and keep track of all my tasks in one place. I love the integration options with other tools I use daily, like Google Drive and Slack. The collaborative features make it easy to communicate with my team, and the calendar view is perfect for visualizing what I need to get done each day. Asana helps me prioritize, set deadlines, and stay on top of multiple projects without feeling overwhelmed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I've encountered is that the mobile app can feel a bit clunky when managing larger, more complex projects. While it’s great for small updates and quick checks, some features don’t translate as smoothly from desktop to mobile. Also, the learning curve for new team members unfamiliar with project management software can be a bit steep, though Asana's extensive help guides and tutorials definitely help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has allowed me to manage client projects with ease. Before using Asana, keeping track of multiple client deadlines and to-do lists across different platforms was chaotic. Now, everything is organized in one place, making it simple to stay on track and deliver on time. It also helps with team collaboration and tracking project milestones.
Asana = Automation Rockstar
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Asana because it offers customizable automation that streamlines tasks and keeps projects on track. The ability to build complete project workflows and seamlessly collaborate with my team makes it incredibly efficient. It's a game-changer for staying organized and fostering better communication across all projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don’t enjoy about Asana is the lack of integration with social scheduling tools. It would be great to have everything in one place for seamlessly managing projects that include social content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana enables our team to work more efficiently across multiple projects. We use it daily to approve content, build workflows, and track progress.
Great Project Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
As a Director of Audience Engagement and Growth at a nonprofit media company, and previously as a Director of Communications at a local nonprofit, I have been using Asana for over seven years. It’s an essential tool for managing all our projects across multiple teams, including freelancers. When used properly, Asana truly shines, helping us stay organized, on track, and saving time. It’s also a great archive of the work we’ve done, which we frequently reference. I’ve implemented clear guidelines for my team to ensure efficiency, and Asana’s intuitive interface makes it easy for everyone to stay aligned. Highly recommended for any team looking to improve productivity and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Asana is a fantastic tool, there are certain limitations if you’re using the free version, especially if budget constraints prevent an upgrade. Even with these limitations, Asana is still a powerful resource for keeping track of projects. However, I believe it’s crucial to provide staff with proper training and establish clear rules to ensure everyone is using Asana the same way. For instance, we implemented a rule that only the task creator can mark a task as complete. This prevents tasks from being prematurely closed, which can cause things to disappear before they’re truly finished. With the right structure in place, these limitations are manageable, but they do require careful oversight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is our main project management system. It is what we use to keep track of all projects and events happening at our organization.
