Great project tracking tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it’s collaborative and well organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it displayed completed tasks in a less hidden way so it’s easy to refer back to them

I do like the fact I can make sub tasks under sub tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Making the sub task is great but having the ability to find that sub task is difficult.

Having a log of day to day tasks has been very important and useful

Keeping tracking of project progress. Easy to communicate on specific tasks to help get the work done.

Great if you don’t rely on other programs for your project management already

What do you like best about the product?
Great for aligning teams on various shared projects to share status updates and assign tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are working within multiple projects at once, it can get confusing. You need to make sure you exit one project board before working within another or your tasks will get crossed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with my team to achieve client projects and onboarding within project boards in Asana. It keeps track of due dates and assignments easily and in a user friendly way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a great (free) tool to assist with project management for various tasks, projects and teams. Highly recommend it!
ASANA Helps Keep Projects Moving
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it easier to keep projects moving, especially when your department has busy travel schedules. To be able to keep up with item statuses without sending a dozen emails about each aspect is so great! You have different boards for each project and can assign tasks to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
A downside to Asana can be the lack of buy-in from your coworkers. Sometimes it is hard to make others grasp new ideas and concepts. Getting people away from paper lists and moving into a more digital approach can be challenging. I would also like better notifications. This may be a user oversight, but there are some projects where I get too many notifications and some where I do not get enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped cut down on the amount of emails/communications and missed communications about a project. Many of us are juggling many projects with many hands in each project, so being able to track the progress in one place is extremely helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure you have buy-in from the entire team you are working with. Asana works well for tracking your own projects but is much more useful if you are able to track projects as a team.

It helps keeps you organized individually and as a team. Gives updates and reminders to keep everyone and every project on track

No downsides for me. Very helpful and intentional in its purpose

Sometimes having a heavy workload can be overwhelming, this helps to set goals and to meet deadlines

It is a great communication and organizational tool. The emojis help too!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get overwhelming with all the alerts that you get. Whenever someone comments or posts you get an alert and it becomes a lot very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keep everyone on task and accountable for their responsibilities

Give it a try. It doesn’t work for everyone but when it works...it works!
Pretty Straight Ahead Task Management
What do you like best about the product?
It's great for assigning tasks and deadlines. They offer a few different ways to view tasks (lists, calendar, flowchart) which is nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Organizing tasks by teams and projects within teams can be confusing at times. It's easy to forget to invite everyone on the team to the project. The teams function seems somewhat extraneous but maybe it would be helpful for larger teams. My team only has 9 people so everyone is involved in every project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keep all team members organized and projects on track. It's especially helpful working with remote employees, since everything is in one place.
