Effective Project Organizing
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it easy to map out projects and track progress, for complex interdependent activities and simple or repeating tasks. Use this tool so that you don't have to remember what you were supposed to do!
What do you dislike about the product?
When Asana goes down, I don't remember what I'm supposed to be doing anymore ;)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana enables me to structure my work throughout the day, week, and month to make sure I'm making progress towards my goals. It also allows for easy collaboration between team members through a common platform that tracks progress and communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great to have a standard project planning tool for an organization to make it easy to communicate across teams and projects.
Easy visibility, instantly
What do you like best about the product?
The sticky note-like view makes visual organization of project progress a snap, and it's available for free!
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a steep learning curve and a lot of initial feature shock.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PR campaigns rely on people - often dispersed - working in concert. This makes the who's doing what, when question a non-factor.
Asana helps me get my work done
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very very user-friendly. I've never had any technical issues, and it doesn't take me long to navigate the system and see my running to-do list.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much about Asana's tool that I dislike. If I had to pick one, it would be this: I use a lot of different boards (for each week), and since you can only create a board from the far right, I have to drag it to the left each week, which takes a good 30 seconds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run my company's marketing team. I use Asana to keep my tasks organized, and have visibility into the status of tasks of my teammates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend having your entire team use the tool. It's the best way to have visibility into progress on specific tasks, which in turn eliminates internal questions.
A great to have collaboration tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana will keep you on track in all your projects, deadlines, shared documents, links, etc. in a easy to use interface an at reach of all your team players.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like all features Asana offers, but I would like some more integrations like sms and other mobile features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a Project Developer, I use it with my team to keep on track with all team members task, dealines and communication in one single place.

Right project & task management tool for our company
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful about Asana is its feature to create a task and assign it to someone thoroughly tracking progress by simply adding single or multiple followers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I get started, I found the overall user interface and project management dashboard confusing and hard to easily understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Asana for increasing overall productivity within a team through its project and task management feature and so on.
Asana : Tool for Enterprise to look at a bigger picture on process management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps to split the work into different milestones and share with relevant people and helps to keep a better track.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface could have been much better and timely new upgrades too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helped me to split the task and keep a better track of work and help to not miss the deadlines
used to keep track of tasks for remote work
What do you like best about the product?
i liked that you could see what other ppl were working on. also good transparency for my manager to see what tasks i was working on and to assign me new ones as all work was remote.
What do you dislike about the product?
that there could not be a daily/weekly task list. that same list had to be copied over, but if it had been marked completed, it was archived and could not be used again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helpful to have a running track of what tasks needed to be done, and what was done before for certain tasks. very helpful for a team that all worked remotely
Best Task Management Offering I've Tried - Could Benefit from Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
Very high level of customization possible and fairly intuitive navigation.
What do you dislike about the product?
With high level of customization comes the issue of being too nimble and changeable (not static enough where it counts). Some functionality should be defaulted to static with ability to change settings to adjust. Example: It's too easy to delete, re-assign, change due dates, and delete history logs: Even tasks, projects, etc. created by other users in the organization. This should be more difficult by default: It shouldn't be easy to accidentally delete tasks in bulk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking tasks for projects - Salesforce/FinancialForce implementations, customization, and support. It's the one app I can track my projects and tasks in a manageable way. Would be more helpful if it could somehow keep me more on top of tasks and due dates. Email notifications aren't helpful for anyone. Even browser notifications don't quite cut it. I find myself going days at a time without realizing that I haven't opened up my Asana. For a task and project management app to be really beneficial, it needs to be in your face all the time. Available in GSuite and everywhere to kind of stay top of mind.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check the paid options, portfolios and such are great for teams.
Good project management but limited functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Asana was the first project management tool we tried. It is good and would be great for an individual or small business. It is very simple to learn and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Time tracking integrations are limited, the general functionalities are limited. There isn't a built-in chat function which competitors have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time and improving the efficiency of work which it was great at until we needed to scale more.
Excellent application for my entrepreneurial needs
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is indeed a solid, user-friendly project management tool for my work, task management, notifications, a customer portal, collaboration tools, task assigning and basic reporting, all at one go. What makes Asana the best productivity tool is the ease of including/removing tasks in your work schedule. More than that, tasks can be prioritized and adjusted accordingly. Asana also has a mobile app that syncs all my tasks from my Mac to my iPhone. It is also available in German, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and being quadrilingual myself, I really like this feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing tiers of Asana make it unaffordable for me to purchase premium. This is the most user unfriendly part of Asana. The ‘Business’ plan is $23.99 (£18.78) monthly, which is more than GBP200 and unfit for my yearly budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Asana, I design my week schedule and coordinate tasks according to my schedule to build a successful business for myself. I have been funded by my University and the free version of this tool makes my job easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is the best project management tool out there that can make not only your life easier but also the lives of the people who work with you, of the people who work for you and of the people who you work for.
