Zoom saved my business when everything shut down
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to get started and to help others to use. My yoga students didn't necessarily know anything about tech and we were able to keep up our group. Recording is easy and useful. Sharing the screen is straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still haven't figured out how to create a good "waiting room" or "wallpaper" for my landing area. I was able to do this in other software and it's either not possible or too hidden in Zoom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom kept my business going when I had to pivot from 100% in person to 100% online in one day. Thank you! The cost is low enough that I didn't have to fret over the decision. I have been able to integrate Zoom with lots of other business software such as calendly.
Zoom Connects the World
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is user-friendly and offers many options. I especially appreciate the chat feature, share screen, waiting room (and ability to have a video for those waiting), and advanced sharing.
What do you dislike about the product?
zoom bombers! that's about all, and those can't get in very easily, there are so many features that I like that I can't really think of what I don't like, maybe that you can't spotlight someone and pin someone at the same time- In Toastmasters we want to spotlight the speaker and need to pin the timer, also. Can't do both.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Zoom solves is being able to meet consistently with people and not be concerned about travel or sickness. I have been able to meet weekly with people around the world as well as get recordings of my meetings.
I LOVE ZOOM
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE ZOOM FOR ITS EASY-TO-USE PLATFORM. IT IS EASY TO SET UP, I LOVE THAT I CAN RECORD SO I ALSO USE IT TO RECORD VIDEOS FOR MY COACHING STUDENTS.
What do you dislike about the product?
NOT MUCH EXCEPT I WOULD LOVE THE WEBINAR OPTION NOT TO BE SO EXPENSIVE. IT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT'S EASY TO CONNECT WITH ANYONE ANYWHERE, WHICH CREATES MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW MY BUSINESS.
Effective and productive with a user friendly platform
What do you like best about the product?
I use zoom for teaching and I love the breakout room features as well as the new whiteboard that saves what you've been working on and makes more room available by scrolling down instead of erasing everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
What's working wel is the east of accessibility for my students. I share the link once and they can join my sessions using the same info every time. This is great for teachers working with a young demographic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is benefiting me because I can expand my private lessons to students outside of my city by providing my services remotely and with the new features I can teach more complex subject and collaborate with students while we both annotate.
Platform Exceeds Expectations
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to add/edit meeting details via the desktop version on my computer to save time. I like how customizable everything is and being able to edit functions for attendees so they suit my needs. I think it's user friendly and easy to use and that's important to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
A downside for me would be not being able to adjust the zoom room details/back end settings when the meeting is in progress. I have seen this effect events of ours in the past, and it's incredibly frustrating because once you're mid event there's not much you can do, but lose the audience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing virtual workshops, seminars to students. I prefer it over the MS Teams platform that is offered to all students. I like that Zoom can be used more streamlined on any device and does not require a specific email to use.
Getting Business Done
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom helped innovate the way that I and my co-workers were able to get our jobs done and support our field operation teams by bringing us to them, no matter where they are.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is at times challenging for some users, which created some delays. This was only a minimal issue as most of our team was able to learn within a few hours of using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distance is no longer an issue! We operate in over half the country now, but that is no issue! I am able to connect and build relationships with new and existing operators with Zoom, for training and development.
Clear, direct connection to easy meetings
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has helped me stay connected with Colleagues and business partners around the world! It's super user friendly and I love the ease of use from mobile to desktop!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I forget where the tools are for connecting recordings to social media. I also can't assign another person to control the meeting which would be more helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to connect across multiple states and countries! Having access to consistent/stable video service with minimal interruptions!
Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is an incredible video conferencing option. I can confidently say it is the best on the market right now. The interaction and break out rooms have stepped up the game.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site is not as easy to navigate as I would like. For example, it often takes me several minutes to find an answer to a question I have about turning on subtitles or blurring part of my screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security has vastly improved. Originally anyone could pop in on a call, but that has not happened in the past two years. I appreciate the added security features.
Simple, Reliable, Accessible
What do you like best about the product?
I hosted a series of meeting via Zoom. About half of the participants were over the age of 70 and some over 90. A few still had flip phones, so we're talking about people who were not technologically inclined. Nevertheless, with a few simple instructions, everyone could access and use Zoom effectively. Ease of use and good connections. That's what is best.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few of our group couldn't find where to switch view. It would be easier if the controls were in the same place regardless of operating system. Not a big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of our group has moved. Zoom allows what started out as a local group to continue to meet monthly and include our long-distance members. It is also easier to use Zoom when the presented has visuals to share rather than figuring out whether the facility we're using that month has projection capabilities.
An excellent tool for remote meetings.
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom allows me to easily connect with my colleagues. The ability to record meetings is a giant plus to me, and the video and audio quality is not to be matched.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to zoom is that I do not see any way to have auto closed-captions. This would be a huge help for myself, and my colleagues who have hearing loss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom solves the problem on how to connect well in a remote work environment. It allows me to hold group meetings, and create a sense of community. Love it!
