Enhanced recommendations including multiple risk options
The consistent new features and capabilities being released
What do you dislike about the product?
Heavily focused on AWS and not all features as helpful for other major CSPs such as Azure - pass through recommendations only as an example.
CSA also only for AWS EC2.

I enjoy the quick dashboards, fast reporting on the large dataset and the flexibility on managing business context with normalized tagging, business maps and tagging.
What do you dislike about the product?
reporting on the disjointed datasets only possible in Apptio BI, which is slow and have certain limitations on presentation as well.

What do you like best about the product?
Great insight into Cloud spend and cloud utilisation data. Cloudability has given us a platform to properly understand our cloud spend, how our cloud spend is trending and actions we can perform to optimize our cloud spend. It has empowered us to make metric based decisions and greater proactivity in addressing cloud usage before the big bill lands at the end of the month.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't a cheap tool, and for many organisations they will potentially just see this as "more cloud cost" and therefore not realise the benefits such a product and solutions can provide them.
There are some minor improvements we'd like to see, particularly around rightsizing recommendations and preferences. For example you can avoid certain instance types for EC2 in AWS but you can't do the same for EBS and avoid SC1 storage. This leads to a lot of rightsizing alerts which either have to be snoozed or filtered.
There could also be improvements as to how cluster costs are, particularly around deeper insights of usage of resources and networking, hopefully future integrations with newly acquired Kubecost will improve this.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying where cloud spend goes
Identifying ways to prevent cloud spend spiralling
Helping with chargeback and showback of cloud spend

Helping with chargeback and showback of cloud spend
A great product for cloud cost transparency
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use; customization and ability to apply role-based access relatively easily. Cost optimization recommendations are sometimes better than recommendations provided by a provider natively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Enhancement rollouts are very slow. Product roadmap target dates almost never met. Customer support has deteriorated since IBM takeover
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud cost transparency across a federated environment
Improved insight into cloud spend and budgeting
What do you like best about the product?
The way the UI presents the information allowing for actionable results. Ease of use and the ability to use business metrics to group and sort spend. Powerful reporting and dashboarding capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of the solution can be prohibitive and the budgeting and planning elements not being able to be dashboarded in the essentials package. K8s integration is good but is missing deeper integration with K8s which hopefully the recent Kubecost acquisition will help improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility and cost control
Cloud ability takes the confusion out of numbers
What do you like best about the product?
I like the accessibility and logical outlay
What do you dislike about the product?
There are multiple logon screens to go through!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Timely and accurate reporting
Excellent Finops Product
What do you like best about the product?
Solid product that ingests all of the relevant data from our cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). and provides transparency and savings insights across multiple levers for each.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting is not great for reporting on containers, escpecially for AWS. We would like to get better information for usage and potential savings as well. This has improved over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides the best reporting solution by ingesting the several million rows of data each month. Gives us insights on how to best perform finops - savings for multiple opportunities, anything from undersubscribed CPU/storage, unused instances, Allows us to customize the reporting to target specific focus areas: tagging, reserved instances, efficiencies.
