The Right Tool to Understand and Action Cloud Spend
What do you like best about the product?
End users can get the data they need at a glance and drill into cost composition detail quickly and easily
What do you dislike about the product?
The reports offer very little flexibility and visualization, and the dashboard UI is at times too rigid, especially with Apptio BI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combined with a relatively mature FinOps practice, Cloudability provides our FinOps team, IT leadership, and engineers valuable insight into the makeup of our cloud spend, has given actionable rightsizing insights, and enables us to track against budget in one simple place.

What do you like best about the product?
One stop shop for consumption based information as well as rightisizing savings
What do you dislike about the product?
The visual reporting capabilities lag greatly behind a tableau-like software. Could greatly improve here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing our application owners with insights in how to optimize their cloud footprint. Forecasting module has been a big help.
Cloud ability stands out as a great FinOps tool although it is expensive.

Normalization of costs especially on multi cloud environment

Cloud cost transparency, rightsizing recommendations helps create conversations with engineers and dev.
Cloudability makes cloud cost management simpler and more efficient.

I love the Tag & Labels and Business Mappings combined.

I have been facing some performance issues and page errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudability has been helping me organize the costs of my workloads, including containers that have a more complex granularity. It also assists with optimizations through anomaly alerts, reservation recommendations, etc. The Apptio BI has also been helpful in recurring analyses.
Improving capabilities with inorganic growth
What do you like best about the product?
Apptio’s FinOps platform has an AI-based anomaly detection feature. It helps review all cloud bills and informs the users if there is any unusual spending pattern.
Apptio also offers recommendations for rightsizing and enables users to select a cost-saving option that matches their organizations’ compliance requirements.
The implementation is easy and the UI is simple to use.

What do you dislike about the product?
Apptio has a strong practice in the U.S. and European markets and a growing practice in Australia, where it leverages its own sales personnel. In other regions, however, it depends on local partners for selling its FinOps solution. The company needs to invest in building a strong sales practice in those regions as well, including in Asian and South American countries.

Apptio’s Cloudability solution offers FinOps features that leverage advance technologies, including automation and machine learning, to optimize cloud costs and enhance business agility for clients.

What do you like best about the product?
While applications move rapidly to the cloud, the general trade-off is to reach productivity and availability cheaply. Cloudability helps quantify the enterprise spend on cloud and smoothes the communication of cloud financial management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool provides complicated recommendations that can confuse and derail new users from picking the right recommendation. Widgets are difficult to understand and can take a good chunk of time exploring.

Perfect for clarity and visibility into cloud costs with enterprise governance
What do you like best about the product?
Since my last review, Cloudability continues to mature for FinOps in our organization across Azure and AWS. The reporting is improved and helps executive level insight by business units and applications
What do you dislike about the product?
One feature stays the same, in that the navigation is still the challenge - especially for ocassional / non expert users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are loving the visibility that this platform provides with cloud cost management.It provides comprehensive view of all our multi cloud providers' costs and their services. Through the cloud management features/functionalities - we are able to scale/maintain the performance of the different cloud instances and use the in-built recommendation that the platform provides for cloud cost optimization (by providing rightsizing options, optimizing storage usage etc.). It saves costs , finds any inefficiencies and brings better visibility into a single pane of glass.

Has allowed extensive visbility on spending across the firm, enabling mass savings and cost cutting to take place

It took me a while to get used to the softwware
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving previously not having as much visibility on costs / spending. We now track this with great ease and have utilized internal resources to cut costs and save big
Apptio cloudability in my opinion
What do you like best about the product?
Apptio has easy and simple integration with AWS, NewRelic, K8s etc., it is very simle and easy to integrate and use the data. Also, the Business Mapping feature is very helpful since we have multipl cost tags, cost center tags and mapping this to a product/business is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cloudability UI could get better in my opinion.
