Easy to use, knowledgeable tech team, pleasant AEs/CSMs
What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to use UI
- Easy to understand
- up and running in <10 minutes with limited technical knowledge
- consultants/ tech pre-sales very helpful, in particular slack groups
- New features coming out every so often are pretty straightforward and easy to adopt, for example connecting dbt runs and queries for less duplicate work across tools

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly I'm very happy with the tool and don't have any complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census gets data from a warehouse into where we need it, in Salesforce and other tools. The team now has access to information they didn't have access to before
Quick and Easy Configuration for a Powerful Data Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Census has provided a great customer experience, with plenty of guidance, but only if necessary. We found the configuration quick and easy, and were up and running with our first data load within 15 minutes. Our business has loved the insight the new data streams have provided within our CRM. Census provides the ultimate building blocks to capture that elusive Customer 360.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, we have not encountered any issues or dislikes with the platform. For our business cases, it has checked every box so far. No negative feedback to provide.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have data in several disparate systems, but most importantly, from our product. This data is all currently centralized and processed within our data warehouse. To pull this important product information back into our CRM, Census provides the Reverse ETL technology to move this data into our CRM. Census allows us to have a full, 360-degree view of our Customer data, which has ultimately improved our Customer Service and Sales experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Census has made it possible for us to simplify and expand our usage of audiences for look alikes and suppression lists.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike but I would love to see that they add more destinations to their library.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census automates data transfer in a compliance friendly way allowing us to easily scale suppression lists or build look alikes on new channels
Makes data synchronization surprisingly easy
What do you like best about the product?
We just pick the source data and fields we want as destinations, and Census does all the hard work. Their documentation is excellent, and it even has a section for common errors, which helped us debug a duplication issue in no time! They also provide an API Inspector to see the requests made during syncs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Census provides many ways to configure whether you want to create new records, update existing ones, do both, delete the removed ones, etc. But when configuring each field, it only has options to update values from the source or only do it if the destination is empty. It would be nice if we could add more smart rules like only update if the source is not empty or only updating field A if field B in destination is not empty, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census is helping us keep Salesforce in sync so our business team can access the latest information from our application usage right with all their client notes. Salesforce tends to be frustrating for developers, but Census simplified everything.
Great solution for Reverse ETL
What do you like best about the product?
Easy way to sync data to multiple systems. In addition, support is great through Slack channel. On demand they are willing to build additional features and/or syncs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Census gives a notification when a sync fails, it would be a nice if Census also automatically retry the sync. Often on subsequent run, the sync does succeed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Syncing data from our DWH to other systems with easy configuration which non-technicals users also understand.

The team has been very responsive so far. The tool helps us offload some very manual, repetitive work we've been doing forever

The support for source control integrations seems limited. To be fair, we do have an open conversation with them about whether we have more options than just DBT cloud, which is yet another tool to maintain -- we don't currently use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Census helps us unify and automate a bunch of either manual or disparate workstreams. We're able to more easily and granularly get data into the tool of our choice without having to maintain a bunch of different logic.

- We started when Census was quite new, so had to navigate using their support for the first stretch

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Census syncs our BigQuery data (i.e. our production data about users) and funnels it to primarily HubSpot, but also Amplitude and MixPanel

Easy to set up your integrations, let's you control directly from the integrated in-house models defined.
Census support is excellent and highly responsive, making it easy to overcome any issues we've encountered in our pipeline.

Configuration view of syncs with a large number of mappings could sometimes be a difficult task within the UI. Other than that really impressed with their product and confident they are in the right track
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making our data pipeline operational and integrating timely data with the syncs that are set up. Removed the need for people to switch contexts to check data in other systems.
Census is a very useful piece of software
What do you like best about the product?
The number of integrations offered by Census is great, but my favorite thing is how easy it is to set up and test the SQL that you are reverse ETL-ing into downstream platforms. The UI is intuitive and easy to use, and when I have had problems in the past the customer support team has been responsive to my issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints here, our use cases are relatively simple (we use Census to reverse ETL snowflake back into Postgres with the intention of using that data in client applications), so Census suits our use case well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Census to reverse ETL from Snowflake back into Postgres for use in our client applications. This allows us to bypass rate limits from upstream APIs, and realtime data is not crucial for our use case, so the delay between the upstream API to Snowflake to Census to Postgres is acceptable.
