Would have saved me days
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. You can get up and running in minutes, with little to no training because the platform is so intuitive.
The selection of connections is incredible. This would have saved me so much time at my last role where I spent days and days building these connections out bespoke.

What do you dislike about the product?
More and more connections would be great. But that is more a function of the sprawl of the market than Census.
Not sure how easy to use this would be without some data experience. Even more intuitive UI for more standard business user could be great.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving for the sprawl of tools in the market and in our company. It's great to have so much flexibility until you need to move data in and out. Without Census you kill yourself trying to keep all your data aligned and moving where you need to be.
Enjoying Reverse ETL
What do you like best about the product?
We had integrations with most of our major digital marketing vendors from BigQuery up and running within 2 weeks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the UX needs updating and just need a more flexible webhook.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having the ability to transmit a single view of the customer to multiple marketing vendors in minutes is great.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a good centralized data infrastructure and have someone who knows SQL readily available for support. At that point you are off to the races.
Reverse ETL for the data world
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use with the SQL interface and the integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a minimum sync time of a few minutes, which makes "real time" difficult
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Piping data from Rockset into tools like Salesforce
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Much better than writing scripts
I love Census! Amazing product for of my reverse ETL needs.
What do you like best about the product?
It integrates with all my tools. I use it for Looker.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I dislike about it. Maybe it could use more features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to visualise my data, send it to my operational tools, and grow my client base.
Great and Stable Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about it is the plug and play part, its very easy to create a model a conector and a sync, very simple to deploy and if you need to change it!
What do you dislike about the product?
At moment i think we need more conector and more features and a little better UI
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We'have been using it to integrate our DW with the martech ecosystem
Robust, fast and debuggable reverse ETL
What do you like best about the product?
It is really good with both: developing fast solutions (for example, sending a batch of data to a destination) and also with building robust, long-lasting models.
They have a dbt integration, API inspector for traceability, sync logs to check what went well and what went wrong, and honestly, an amazingly user-friendly interface!

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, they are always a step ahead with the modern data stack
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending data to different marketing tools, Mixpanel for analytics, Salesforce, creating audiences on Facebook and Google, etc.
The benefit is to have a healthy data flow across different tools and have 1 source of truth (the datawarehouse)

Census Continues to be the BEST Reverse ETL tool to get data where we need it!
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is simple, yet powerful and as a result - you can move FAST! In the last year, we've been able to replace several engineering-built processes with Census to get Data from BQ to a variety of tools across the business. If your a business that needs to get more complex with DBT and Census Segments, etc, the UX scales very well to support that. The team did a great job and technical and nontechnical team members alike will easily be able to do what they need!
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing in the last year has come up quite a bit, but it is the best tool on the market - so I guess you have to pay to play. As a business, you'll still save hundreds of thousands a year on not having to hire devs and additional data analysts...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've deprecated a backend salesforce driver and completely sync our business critical user data into SF. We also use Census to pipe data into Segment, Zendesk, and soon our accounting tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it!
Like that infomercial rotisserie - you just set it and forget it
What do you like best about the product?
Census takes what the analytics team does out of static dashboards and into tools that the rest of the company uses, allowing us to actually deliver on the promise of being "data driven".
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, I just wish there were more destinations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an internal dataset that tells us very specific info about all of our accounts. We can push that data into Salesforce for example, so when a salesperson reaches out to a prospect they can say "did you know x, y, and z?", and it's hyper-targeted but automated, making for a much more powerful outreach.
The perfect reverse ETL product
What do you like best about the product?
Getting up and running with Census was seamless. And once our pipelines were set up, it just worked!
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't come across anything specific that might be an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enable our teams to have the complete picture no matter the tool they use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't think twice.
Census for data-driven sales team
What do you like best about the product?
Census is a great tool to operationalize the data warehouse data. Our main use case was sending data to salesforce.
Easy to setup, use, create syncs, trigger syncs with dbt cloud!
Syncs are much faster and reliable than the alternative tools I've tried.
Great support team, always timely with their answers.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some features I would suggest:
1. Being able to change the dbt model of an existing sync.
2. Improvements on Amplitude sync to be more flexible
3. Admin controls
I would also suggest having a user generated content on how users use census and how they solve challenges. Sharing best practices would also go a long way, specially during onboarding phase.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our use cases are mainly sales analytics and behavioral analytics. We are using census to sync data to Salesforce and Amplitude. Our use cases may grow to also include marketing automations
