Complete but Overwhelming
What do you like best about the product?
The sheer breadth of options and capabilities makes Notion incredibly powerful. While I know it started as a note-taking app, it's evolved into something much more comprehensive - essentially an all-in-one workspace. Whether I need to create simple notes, build complex databases, manage projects, or organize my thoughts, all the tools are right there and genuinely helpful. The flexibility to customize pages exactly how I want them, combine different content types seamlessly, and create interconnected systems for my workflow is something you just don't get with most other apps. I use both for work and also for personal notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ironically, it's that same abundance of options that can be frustrating. With so many features and customization possibilities, the interface can feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to find a specific tool or setting. For new users, this can be particularly intimidating - when you first open Notion, you're faced with this vast array of possibilities and it's not immediately clear where to even begin.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion serves as my external brain, solving organization and planning challenges both professionally and personally.
On the work side, while my team uses Asana for tracking releases and project management, I maintain my own personal TODO database in Notion that gives me much more granular control over my individual tasks. As a developer, this is incredibly valuable because I can easily embed code snippets directly into my notes, create interconnected pages that link different projects and databases together, and build a comprehensive knowledge base of solutions and references. It's like having a personalized wiki where everything connects. This interconnected approach helps me stay organized in a way that traditional task managers simply can't match.
For personal use, Notion becomes my planning headquarters. I use it extensively for trip planning, where I can create detailed itineraries, budget trackers, and research pages all linked together in one cohesive system. It truly feels like having my brain's organizational system digitized and enhanced.

Notion is the Best for an ADHD Brain
What do you like best about the product?
The templates are incredible! I love being able to find other ways that people have organized their lives and try them out to see if they work for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I utilize Notion, it's primarily on my desktop. I love being able to use it regardless of my operating system, but I do wish there were more specifics concerning widgets on iPhone. The interface is great, but I'd love to have easier access to the specific things I utilize in my Notion (tables, charts, checklists, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me get my thoughts together into cohesive, professional language when I'm sending sensitive emails to specific people. The utilization of AI in my management has allowed me to streamline my work - asking the AI to write an email with a few details takes less time than drafting 3 versions of an email before I send it.

The perfect company knowledge base
What do you like best about the product?
Notion does a great job of threading the needle between being powerful enterprise software while still looking great and being fun to use. I'm a big fan of their databases and automations.
The AI tooling is fantastic. It's great to be able to ask something like "what's our per diem policy?" without having to search for and read the actual doc myself.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I want a little more customization or the occasional database field that doesn't quite work the way I want it to. But overall, it's hard to find things I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Notion first to keep track of all the projects and ideas we are shaping before they become actual projects sent to our engineering teams. Its flexible databases and views make it really easy to get our data organized any way we want it.
Second, it is our company knowledge base where we track all our policies, job descriptions, etc.
I also track my meeting agendas, and their AI note taking in the agendas rules.

Knowledge Source
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to edit, good to have a central point of truth for an org, easy to read and draft,
What do you dislike about the product?
Information can quickly become dated and is dependent on contributors to update. Variability in formatting and structuring can also make information hard to find. The menu bar isn't intuitive and makes it hard to search by hierarchy.

Central repository of company knowledge and procedure - when I have questions about the "how" or sometimes the "what" of company policy or company strategy, this is a place I can go to find that information,
Transformed how we capture and use Knowledge
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion combines AI-powered writing, knowledge management, and enterprise search in one place. The AI Writing Assistant helps me draft and refine content quickly, while the centralized workspace keeps all our company knowledge organized and accessible. Enterprise Search is incredibly fast and accurate—it saves me hours every week finding exactly what I need. It’s intuitive, flexible, and has become the single source of truth for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the flexibility means things can get a bit messy if pages aren’t well structured, and there’s a slight learning curve for new team members. I’d also love to see even faster AI response times and more native integrations with other tools we use daily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps us centralize all our company knowledge, making it easy for everyone to access the right information fast. The AI Writing Assistant speeds up content creation, from meeting notes to client proposals, and Enterprise Search means I can find exactly what I need in seconds instead of digging through endless files. This has cut down on duplicate work, improved team alignment, and freed up hours each week to focus on high-impact projects.
One-Stop Shop for Product
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can create my own personal space with links to the most important pages in my org. Better yet, I can create a kanban in that same space so that I can manage my tasks and not have a separate tab open. It's something I use every day and it helps me stay organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a high learning curve when it comes to some of the simple features. It's easy enough to take notes and such, but even creating a new column in a kanban board took some Googling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps unify workflows. I don't have to jump between Trello, Jira, and Google docs - Notion lets me keep it all in one place. I love the customizability that it affords me.

The best tool for everything I need at work
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about Notion is the centralization. All of my work, and a part of my life, in a single tool. Since we started using Notion at work, my productivity has increased and it's much easier to find important information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe Notion is a complex tool at the beginning. Also, there are too many features, and I consider some of them unnecessary, like the ability to create charts and the forms feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solved a problem that had existed for years at the company: a lack of centralization. Before, all our documents were scattered across Google Drive, and we often lacked proper access. Now, with everything in Notion, it's much easier to find what's truly important for my work.
Additionally, because my company uses Notion as its central workspace, it has greatly simplified my day-to-day. I can easily find information about our products, track requests from other teams, and create documentation that is visible to everyone who needs access.

AI Writing Assistant transforms ideas into clear, compelling content effortlessly.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Notion is its all-in-one flexibility—combining notes, tasks, databases, and AI assistance in a single, customizable workspace that adapts to any workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Notion is that it can feel slow or heavy with large, complex workspaces, and some offline functionality is still limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves the problem of scattered tools by unifying notes, tasks, databases, and collaboration in one platform. This reduces context switching, keeps information organized, and streamlines workflows, saving time and boosting productivity. The AI assistant helps me on product design, improving user stories, and refining implementation plans.
