Useful and accesible

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find it really useful that it allows you to create different pages which are perfect for a variety of activities such as to write essays, thoughts, your shop list, etc. Also, the app is equally useful for desktop as for my cellphone. I use it for reminders, to mark dates in my calendars, to control my finances, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think without the desktop app you can't possibly set up your Notion with the cellphone app. I feel like it isn't the most easy system to understand, I am a young person and I understood it pretty quickly with a few videos of reference but my mom (+55) wasn't able to even set it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find it amazing to have all the information I wanna acces in the same space. I can access to it from many places and I like the design of the platform. I keep track of my finances with it and I also use it for my college notes and homework's.

Amazing all-in-one productivity platform

  • February 15, 2023

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has a super clean user interface that puts the content at the center and makes it very enjoyable to use. I also like its nested page system, which essentially gives each page the option of being a "folder" while still being able to write things on the page. Databases are also super useful!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features such as forms, slideshows, and charts are missing from Notion (natively, at least), which would be greatly useful for migrating from Google Drive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as the central hub for a club I lead at my university. It's great for taking meeting notes, writing documents, and keeping a database of all of our expenses. I also use Notion personally to write notes I intend to share with others through the "notion.site" pages.

So customizable and practical !

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how customizable it is, with templates, pictures, colors, etc.
I also like that you can do so much with the free version ! It's the only planner/app that offers that much, and it's really nice for students!
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like you have to search a lot on other platforms, like Youtube/Google, to understand how to start and how it works. There's a lot of options, buttons that we wouldn't see or understand how to make function at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can finally be organized and have all my things in one place. My goals, objectives, projects, day notes are all on Notion not on different platforms like before where I would forget where I wrote something.

Notion is an amazing, all-in one

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how customizable it is! It's got its learning curve for sure, but for a small company like ours it acts as a solid all-in one tool for us. We use it for project and task management, brand asset storage, meeting notes, a CRM.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I like about Notion is also the thing I dislike about Notion - the learning curve and amount of time it takes to create databases that all talk to each other. Sometimes I think I've got it down to only realize that one database isn't syncing with another one. This is versus something like Monday.com or Asana which I've used in the past it's not an issue BUT those tools don't do nearly as much as Notion does so I understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use to keep all of our departments and projects in one roof. It keeps everyone from Finance to Marketing to Creative on the same page, as well as a central hub for everyone to grab documents from. It's also saved me Google Drive space because I can have meeting notes within Notion and not have to store hundreds of Google Docs

It's an awesome app with a lot of potential

What do you like best about the product?
I love my ability to create multiple subpages within a page!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really like to be able to highlight text and have more flexibility with copy and paste and typing wherever I want on the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being organized in my efforts across all areas of my life. It is a useful online notebook I have on all my devices.

Revolutionary for both ideation and tying together my work & personal lives

  • February 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has a clean, easy-to-navigate interface. I find it quite easy to use, and they put a lot of work into making it a felicitous UX to work within.

This is my second time using Notion, and the reason I came back was because of the rapid delivery of new & useful features in the past year. Jira database integration is super-helpful for creating a single-pane-of-glass view, I love the different embeds they support, and the ability to define database sub-tasks has so much potential for replacing some of other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not immediately-accessible to non-productivity nerds like myself. It took me awhile to wrangle the sheer amount of information that can end up within Notion (from personally-composed pages to imported content), and I would imagine that power users unlike myself might be intimidated by that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps with the problem of repeatable content: I can define information on one page, and either backlink to that page — or better yet, embed that page in other pages, for seamless sharing of knowledge! And if the source snippet requires a change, editing it at the source applies to everywhere it's referenced. Confluence can't easily do that!

My all-time favorite software – used to manage every area of my business & life

  • February 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LOTS! I can customize my entire business (& life) operating system exactly the way I want it. Other "project management" software confine you to work THEIR way, not yours.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. The only thing I can see being a downside is that because you can create your systems in any way you want, a blank canvas essentially, you need to have a strong framework upon which to build. Otherwise, you'll end up with a messy workspace. In short, there's a bit of a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Systems. Basically any recurring activity in my business has a custom system built around it to make the task as quick & efficient as possible. Notion makes creating these systems super easy.

Wish I had it sooner

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to fully customize it, the different views for databases, being able to share pages to collaborate with your colleagues, being able to search your entire workspace!!! For me personally the biggest game changer is the relation property. Being able to link tasks to projects is really amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
literally nothing. It would be nice if I could search under specific pages intead of under all of the workspace, but without losing the ability to search the workspace, which is one of the most powerful tools in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making all of my notes and literature review fully searchable and allows me to work in the same platform. Also useful to work in the cloud and be able to collaborate with others in such a customizable environment, very much outdos any other platform.

What do you dislike about the product?

It centralises knowledge and makes it easily accessible for all contributors

  • February 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Notion I can handle many parts of my digital life :
• store and organize information, writes reviews for myself or sharing with others
• collaborate on projetcs
• create easy shareable links that can work like landing pages
• integrate with many other tools i like
What do you dislike about the product?
• the mobile version sadly prompts me to update to iOS 15.0 with a ugly huge banner that I can remove 😘
• generally speaking it can be slow to load with rich pages
• connection to different space when people send you links sometimes is a mess
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
• Creating rich pages and handy databases of things
• Presenting projects in an interesting yet simple way
• collaborating in a more organized and inter-connected way than Google Docs and others
