Meltwater platform complemented by support team that thinks with us
What do you like best about the product?
This platform is easy to use and demonstrates a commitment to innovation. What stands out most for me is the personal guidance and customer support provided, which has helped us optimize the platform to better suit our business needs. The Meltwater team really think with us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is quite costly, and it's not always clear what the added value of certain modules is. For instance, the AI-generated press database does not provide high-quality results for our markets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
quick understanding of how our company is being talked about in social and traditional media. The AI generated summaries are very helpful to get a quick overview.
Easy to use and lots of features
What do you like best about the product?
We plan our content per quarter, so it's great for planning all our communication over all platforms. We also use the Engage part almost every day. It helps us keeping track of our goals and gives great insights. The tool is easy to use, having worked with similar tools before. The set up was very fast and our Meltwater contacts are always happy to help or offer solutions for any of our problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
We'd hoped to have the ability to answer all our reviews directly in the platform. For Google this is possible, but for Trustpilot not yet. I think this is not really an Meltwater issue, but more so a Trustpilot connection one. But if this would be possible in the future that would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to have all the information in one platform. We use it to plan content, do community management, analyse our content and competitors and also keep track of reviews. It's nice to have all your content and information in one tool so you can analyse everything in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater provides us with a powerful platform to monitor sustainability and real estate–related topics. The dashboard quickly highlights relevant trends and helps us identify signals from the market in a timely way. The combination of reliable news sources, solid analysis, and valuable support from the Meltwater team makes it a trusted tool for communication and risk management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The results are sometimes too broad or less relevant, which means a manual selection is always needed. This makes reporting more time-consuming. It would be valuable if additional smart features could be built in to speed up and simplify this process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps us stay on top of sustainability and real estate–related developments by filtering large volumes of news into manageable insights. This enables us to identify trends and potential risks early, which strengthens both our communications and our decision-making. It reduces the time and effort needed to scan diverse sources, gives structure to our reporting, and provides a reliable foundation for engaging with stakeholders. Also, the media relations functionality helps us improve outreach by connecting with the right audiences.

I also really value the monthly check-in calls, which ensure we’re optimizing the tools for our success, and the virtual learning sessions that make a huge difference for a small nonprofit like ours.
The customized dashboards are another highlight—making it simple to pull clear, professional results for our board and stakeholders.
Overall, Meltwater has not just given us tools, but the knowledge and support to use them effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
Very user-friendly. I am able to create new searches with ease and make edits to already-existing ones.

There is sometimes content that is blocked.

Making media monitoring easier. I am able to find all kinds of information on one page.

I really enjoy using Meltwater as a one-stop shop. I like being able to create, edit, and draft content all within the platform. It’s especially helpful that I can add reviewers before publishing and receive their comments directly on the edits that need to be made. I also appreciate the ability to track metrics and compare stats easily.
My favorite feature has to be the social listening tool, which allows me to monitor news articles, broadcasts, and other content all in one place. I also enjoy using Klear and the broadcast tool. Overall, Meltwater is intuitive, easy to navigate, and a great platform for social media listening, monitoring, and analytics.

I find the customer service could be improved, as I don’t feel very supported. I think having a dedicated account manager would help provide more guidance and ensure we’re fully leveraging the platform. I also dislike that I can’t upload videos to schedule on Meltwater, and that creating and scheduling Instagram stories isn’t possible within the platform.

I can draft, edit, and collaborate on content in one place, track metrics and compare stats, and use social listening to monitor news articles, broadcasts, and social media activity all at once. This streamlines my workflow, saves time, and helps me stay on top of important trends.
However, there are some limitations, such as the inability to schedule videos or Instagram stories, and I feel customer support could be stronger. Early impressions of Meltwater
What do you like best about the product?
I’m still getting to know Meltwater, but I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen so far. The platform has already saved me time on monitoring and organizing coverage. The newsletter feature alone saves me at least half an hour every day. On top of that, my implementation team has been really responsive to my questions, which makes the learning curve a lot smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t really have any strong dislikes so far, but there is a bit of a learning curve as I get used to the platform. Some of the dashboards and search functions take time to figure out, and I’m still fine-tuning how I separate pitched vs. organic mentions. Overall, though, those feel like small adjustments compared to the time savings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is helping me cut down the time I spend monitoring coverage and organizing stories. The newsletter feature saves me at least half an hour every day, and the dashboards make it easier to spot trends and share updates with my team. It takes a lot of the manual work off my plate, so I can focus more on the messaging and strategy side of my role.
A must-have for communications professionals
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is the best software for media monitoring, bar none. Although legal limitations prevent a full coverage of results, the software is incredibly useful for distilling big swaths of media results into reports. I appreciate how the team has been using AI to improve the software - implementation is still in early days, but that gives it time to improve more quickly than competitors!
What do you dislike about the product?
New version of the newsletters. The old newsletter version used to let you copy from a template, so you could replicate your company branding on every new newsletter, then decide on automatic or manual. Now with the new ones, you have to start from scratch, or make a copy, but you can't pin your "template" version of a newsletter so it gets messed up by your team. It's horrible for brand consistency and in a client-facing environment that matters!

It's an essential tool for media monitoring.
Excellent Dashboard but Lacking in Filters
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has proven to be a strong platform for social listening and analytics, particularly in the APAC region. Its listening capabilities are robust and provide excellent coverage and accuracy, making it easy to track conversations, monitor sentiment, and uncover relevant insights across multiple markets. The dashboard creation tools are also a standout feature, offering flexibility to build custom views that make reporting and analysis streamlined and visually clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
One notable limitation is the lack of a “select all” filter, which would save time and make navigation more efficient when managing larger data sets. Additionally, the inability to filter an entire dashboard at once can make it more cumbersome to refine views and apply consistent filters across multiple widgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to more immediately see what our competitors are doing and is a helpful indicator of Brand Awareness. A lot of employees think we are #1 in the market but there was no data to back up the statement. Now we can start collecting that data.
