What do you like best about the product?
It is kind to the user, easy to use. Also, the team is attentive to what we users need. Another thing I like is that every day it offers something new.

The AI analyses it offers are somewhat brief.

Meltwater has been crucial for Alterpraxis, helping us to offer a differentiator in our proposals, strategies and services. Its versatility allows us to offer an important level of detail and analysis that helps clients in their decision making.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform’s interface is not always intuitive, requiring training to fully understand its capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to identify the critical issues of my clients' business, their industry, competition, as well as the current situation.
It is good software for analyzing and tracking insights.

It is easy to use, if you need support they attend to you quickly and it has many features to use.

I would try to be able to create slightly more complex custom reports.

Meltwater is a great tracking tool
What do you like best about the product?
The daily reports allow me to share news within our organization leadership team about relevant and significant news coverage. The recaps are also helpful, but I really rely on the daily updates. I recently needed some trend and coverage reports over a longer period, and Meltwater's support team was timely and thorough in their response to my request for generating a report.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many more features available today than when I first began using Meltwater. They require training and time to view webinars and videos. As a 1-person shop, it is often difficult to carve out the time needed to avail myself of the training tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a 1-person MarComm operation, Meltwater saves me time by feeding daily and weekly reports directly to my email - as opposed to forcing me to log into the application to view these reports. Time management is a huge issue for me, and Meltwater is a big time-saver the way I am currently using it.
One-Stop Shop for Social Media Management with Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Meltwater for social media management, and the 'Publish' feature is the one I use the most. I really appreciate the content and calendar management capabilities, and the fact that it generates easy reports. Meltwater's customer support is great, with quick messaging in the system, and my client support and account managers are the best! I also like being able to post one piece of content across social media platforms, which reduces the need to post content manually. Overall, it seems like a one-stop shop for social media and media relations, and the initial setup was very easy.

Plug in to platforms have hiccups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater simplifies content and calendar management, provides easy reports, and reduces manual content posting across platforms. Excellent customer support enhances our experience, and it's a one-stop shop for social media and media relations.
Good start to meltwater
What do you like best about the product?
I like how we can send out releases to a whole host of media at once, and how you can filter such lists.
What do you dislike about the product?
the loading takes some time, I also am confused on how to do a saved search.

Reaching media contacts and seeing what media is talking about our org.
Powerful features but inconsistent application across the platform
What do you like best about the product?
As a media monitoring tool, Meltwater is fantastic. The Explore tool makes building queries, refining the results, and synthesizing insights shockingly easy. The Analyze and Monitor features make it a breeze to keep my finger on the pulse of brand mentions and industry updates moment-to-moment.
I use Meltwater for social media deployment as well, and their Engage tool has some extremely useful features that are missing from competitors like Sprout. There are also regular improvements to the platform -- in just a few months we've participated in a beta test for advanced approval workflows and seen multiple new sources for social listening integrated.
Our account team is also extremely attentive and ready to help with anything from tweaking boolean strings to configuring notification settings.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Engage tool has really strong architecture but doesn't make full use of it. Spotty integration of social listening data means some brand mentions aren't able to be funneled to the social media inbox. The publishing tool can be inconsistent with tagging other accounts while composing a post and we've run into occasional issues with posts not publishing to certain platforms. The problems aren't structural, it just seems like the tool is a little buggy and not working at its full potential. Getting those issues fixed with the engineering team can also be a hassle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a social service nonprofit with a federation model (dozens of independently operating sites across 5 countries) working on a hot-button issue (homelessness), keeping tabs on everything that's being said about our sites and our brand is a challenge. Meltwater helps us find the relevant stories among all the noise and identify crises as they arise. It also helps us deliver communications strategy to our sites -- we can compile lists of journalists to reach out to, track regional mentions for them, and more.
It also serves as an all-in-one tool for owned public communications. We publish newswires and social media posts through Meltwater, and are able to gather extremely helpful data to improve those efforts.

Powerful and Easy to Use Brand Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I like using the Explore section in Meltwater, especially the way it allows for simple query generation with operators, enabling the inclusion and exclusion of categories to prioritize information from general to specific. This functionality is a simple way to narrow down and structure information in reports. Additionally, the initial setup was straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could improve the search submenu to include search terms as a subquery, and not just by words or phrases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to analyze brands, anticipate crises, and obtain insights for product and service decisions. I discover competitors' actions and structure data efficiently, prioritizing information with simple queries, which facilitates reporting.
Tons of analytics if you have the bandwidth to explore them all

The detail that you can capture is really impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much data that if you don't have the time or resources to really explore it, some of the capabilities won't get utilized to their fullest extent. The learning curve can also be pretty steep.

We use Meltwater to schedule and post on our social media channels, as well as pull reports and analyze engagement data.
