I like the accessibility and ease of use of Perplexity. The assistant mode in Comet is also something I find very valuable, and Flexity Labs is great for developing different presentations. The initial setup was effortless for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot of different tools within Perplexity, and I know I'm only scratching the surface, but sometimes you have to dig for them. If they were made a little bit more accessible on the home screen, that would be a little bit better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity to maintain an effective work environment by organizing thoughts, making calendar invites, automating systems as an educator, analyzing data, disaggregating it, and supporting feedback for teachers and staff.
Versatile and Fast, But Occasionally Incomplete

It does this very quickly, saving me a lot of time. The app is on my iPhone and Mac, and I can access it from browsers on other computers, making it a very easy experience. I like its voice technology, which allows me to put Perplexity on speaker and ask it questions while I'm cooking, enabling multitasking as it gives me insights as I work. The initial setup was easy and instant.

I have found that in the last six months, the quality of some of the outputs are either abbreviated or not completely. I've had to ask Perplexity if it could verify its answers from a previous response, and often they will be corrected.

The initial setup was very easy, and it does research well, which is why we switched from ChatGPT.

Versatile, Innovative, and User-Friendly

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the limited hosting options, especially the lack of EU hosting options. I find the need for more enterprise controls and analytics for certain features. The governance and guardrails setup could be improved, and I wish there were more open-source models and connectors. It would be great if it could be used as a company knowledge platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Perplexity gives me access to knowledge I otherwise don't have, challenges my ideas, aggregates knowledge, and solves complex problems quickly. It's easy to use, serves different use cases with its models and modes, and I appreciate the innovation speed.

Great Model Variety and Licensing, but Inconsistent Context and Memory

I appreciate the variety of models and capabilities and that enterprise licenses are offered to individuals with no minimum, and the capabilities are more than enough for most users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recently, the inconsistency with spaces, context, and memory, even in the same threads. It also seemed to become more rigid lately.

Streamlined Automation with Perplexity, Yet Needs Graphic Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I like that all the sourcing is in line with Perplexity. I can easily see where the information is coming from, which makes research a lot easier and helps me test assumptions before making recommendations to my clients. The initial setup was incredibly quick, and I was up and running within a matter of minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perplexity is terrible at generating graphics. Also, I don't like how sometimes it loses track of where it is, and I have to restart with a new thread.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity to automate business processes, generate contracts, draft consistent messages for my team, make research easier, bring in known sources, and test assumptions before making client recommendations.
Fast, Well-Cited Answers That Save Time
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Perplexity feels effortless to use on a regular basis, while still being powerful enough to handle a wide range of questions and tasks. I appreciate how it remembers relevant details about me across chats, so I don’t have to repeat myself and the answers feel more tailored over time. I also value that it works consistently across different devices and contexts, which makes it easy to rely on as a daily tool rather than something I only use occasionally.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that the answers can sometimes be confidently wrong, which means I still have to double-check important details. I also find it somewhat limiting that managing my data and privacy settings isn’t always as transparent or as self-serve as I’d prefer, especially when it comes to accessing everything that’s stored about me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Perplexity is helping me turn messy, open‑ended questions into clear, actionable answers much faster than I could by searching manually. It’s also streamlining my research and writing work by summarizing sources, writing code, drafting content, and helping me explore ideas in one place instead of juggling multiple tools.
Valuable Insights with Some Growing Pains
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Perplexity includes their sources. In my line of work, the accuracy of information is super important, so this feature allows me to quickly refer back to the original source document to verify that the information is, in fact, true. This makes analyzing and screening for actual insights much more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that there's frequent UI changes, and it seems like also recently one of the models has been changed out or some prompting changes have been made that have led to the prompts that I have been using previously to significantly degrade in performance. And, it feels like Perplexity has just been rambling rather than giving me the output that I would have expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Perplexity helps me aggregate data from different sources, ensuring accuracy and allowing me to quickly analyze and find true insights. It includes source documentation for fact-checking, which is crucial in my work.
