Datacamp Review
What do you like best about the product?
The topics are relevant to my team. I am happy to say my staff have taken advantage of the training and have reported back that they have found them valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I look forward to more topics. We have invited other departments to use our licenses if they have need. So more subjects and topics would be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a small team so there is a lot that each individual must know for our success. Datacamp helps us supplement our knowledge.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very interactive with the lessons and a great price

The instructions are poorly written in the lessons, and customer support is poor for creating groups for a corporate account.

datacamp is mostly for data scientists and data engineers, if you are looking for other things it is not so helpful

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i learn the theory and I can directly use what i have learned in practice

What do you like best about the product?
DataCamp generally has a good variety of content for various subjects in Data Science that involve Python and R. The format of videos followed by exercises in an interactive coding environment is a plus for learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an enterprise customer, I'm surprised that there are virtually no reporting mechanisms to help you understand who has done what at the course level and where students are struggling within a course. Also seems to be a hidden add-on in order to get custom reporting. Assignments can be completed by students but will not reflect as "done" in the system. Not enough granular control over what students see in the interface. No way to customize resources for your user community (e.g. the Slack community is simply the public DataCamp slack)

Helping students establish baseline skills needed for higher education.
Relevant skills, useful format
What do you like best about the product?
Like most engineers, I need flexibility in my analysis, so Python/R scripting is a helpful tool. I'm not a stranger to searching for targeted answers and using StackOverflow for how-tos. I do in fact find this useful. But the DataCamp subscription gives me a better general footing, and the bite sized lecture, quiz, lab approach is very effective. I find the skills assessments very helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there were more search capability for targeted questions or self service how-to. Sometimes you want to figure out how to perform a certain task and need to get an answer quickly. Perhaps help chat with a live person could point you to the course you need or even the lesson in particular that could help solve an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building proficiency in statistics and scripting. We have a small team building bespoke analytics, and improving data processing skills makes our deep domain expertise much more scalable to the challenges of our organization.

What do you like best about the product?
Datacamp IDE offers a great way to practice and apply learnings without worrying about installing software or justifying the purchase of enterprise software licenses before your team gains the skill. The tracks are very well designed to give a path that suits the level of the learner.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that very few tracks are available for non-technical people and senior decision-makers makes it difficult to justify investing in Datacamp at the organisation level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Align data skills across data teams (content available for data engineering, data analytics, and data science skills from beginner to advanced level). It gives me as a Business Insights Lead an insight into the level each team member attained so far and it gives me the possibility to easily propose new training courses.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can choose my own adventure, the video segments, the compartmentalized/chunked experience

I can't think of anything negative right now, for the use that I make.

Learn the fundamentals of using python to automatize data cleaning. Will probably look into R in the future, too.

A platform for all levels
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that the platform offers a good range of courses, ranging from R, Python, through to SQL. This means that it is adapatable to use across the entire team.
I've looked at alternatitves, but based on the price and the size of the community, I've stuck with Datacamp.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although there are a lot of courses, I would like to see more technical related courses, edging into the offering that is available from other platforms.
Also, I think there should be more flexibility in terms of switching licences. Although its possible to switch them, there is an allowance each year.

Datacamp others a very structured set of learning for analysts and data scientists. It allows us to weave a consistent set of learning into the development goals of our team.
Hands on Learning at Your Own Pace
What do you like best about the product?
DataCamp provides step by step instructions with business cases for hands on learning. And you can do it all at your own pace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all of the courses are available on the app. Sometimes I just want to listen to it while I'm driving and then come back to it to do the practice session online. It would help my productivity to put more of thes on the app and available for download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are leaning Power BI and I'm also pushing my team to learn more of the data analytics. We are able to start producing dashboards for our clients within a month of this training.
