DataCamp: the etraining platform that fits all data learning needs!
What do you like best about the product?
The alternating sessions of videos and practice are very helpful to make the theory more understandable. the short sessions are very easy to include into agendas
What do you dislike about the product?
sometime difficult for the users to identify their learning path especially when they disconnect in the middle of the path (the login screen does not come back where we left)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
bringing to all employes the opportunity to increase their level of data literacy, whether they are not aware of the topic or specialists

search option is not very friendly as sometime looking for a specific topic is cumbersome

addition of more tracks related to popular tools and tech in data
Great Professional Development Tool
What do you like best about the product?
DataCamp helps my team to gain the skills they need in order to grow as data professionals. It is great that I can see my team's progress on certain skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be hard to navigate the different teams within DataCamp sometimes, and to assign new users content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataCamp is the one stop shop for professional development for the Data & Insights department I manage. It helps with career growth.
Good platform for starters
What do you like best about the product?
The best upside of DataCamp would be the certificate. DataCamp is a well-known organisation, and it is a good way to convince management of what we have done. Also, the cert is good for co-workers' personal development.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitation of license reallocation, some learners may have done nothing (0 XP) after giving them the enterprise license. But the admin still cannot reallocate their license to others for free. I think it is better to limit the license reallocation from those who have tried any paid course only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am an experienced Python user, and DataCamp provide the quiz for me to proof my skill without spending time on the courses again. And I can jump to those advanced courses directly.
Nice platform for increasing know how
What do you like best about the product?
Possibility to learn and test your own know how on the platform, in particular and specifically for the new member of organization team thta need to move the first step with software development, exc....
What do you dislike about the product?
the re-allocation policy. The impossibility to re-allocate more than 20% of licenses during the annual subscription period. FOr group where we have high rotation, this is a limitation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not always is possible to organize and to perform training program for the new team members. In particular for an organization with high % of new hirings. The platform gives the possibility to train by themselves.
Great way to flip the classroom
What do you like best about the product?
Students can learn necessary basic skills in their own way and pace. Valuable Expert teacher time is saved, and can be used to enhance deeper learning in the classroom, based on the learnings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting the budgets for it in an academic environment is a bit troublesome. It is best if you can manage with the Datacamp for the classroom offer. But we needed more then 6 months. The offered lessons are great, but we are just using a fraction of the offering now. So I hope a solution into an academic license will be their in the (near) future, where we can subscribe to specific courses or tracks and still have the monitoring functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using highly skilled expert teachers to teach basic knowledge is a thing of the past now. So the experts can focus on the deeper understanding and applications with the students (flip the classroom).

Learning new languages, we are ready to learn and use Python, now also Power BI is a topic for our company

For me it is good to start from the beginning; and well, it is good to have paths for different carreers

The feedback information some excercises provide; also there are some excercises as Git course where some of the theory is bad explained an causes confusion

The data practice with python; for me it is simply to understand many topics in SQL, Python and now i am excited to find out Julia courses
Interactive learning at its core
What do you like best about the product?
Interactive learning is practical; the different applications and problem set ranges for learning the optimal approach to real-life issues. The ease of browsing various topics in data science, such as data processing, feature engineering, model building and deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of cutting-edge analytics support and courses such as deep learning or non-vanilla models. The data sets also are not congruent with large data sets and thus tend to create possible bad habits of not optimizing code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to build a talent development pipeline for all team members. By interactively selecting a host of courses to customize a learning path for a new hire, focusing on implementable skills.
Datacamp provides easy access to learning
What do you like best about the product?
Data camp has educational tracks that bundle together courses for a given topic. The format is an intro to the concept followed by practice exercises.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to get all the data used for the exercises. I like having local copies of everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives easy access to learning that is done at your own pace. It's much more affordable than doing classes, especially ones where travel expenses are required.
