I like the way learning on DataCamp is so easy, and codes can be run in the browser. It's really exemplary that after each course there's a practice that tests your skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
I never experienced any downsides, DataCamp is so easy to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm learning how to develop my data science skills to provide solutions for different sectors in my country, but actually my focus is in the health sector
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're considering learning on DataCamp, I advice you to make up your mind and do so, because the is a great opportunity to advance or take on a new career. The platform is so seamless and there are practices and projects that'll develop you along the way.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part was the exercises. Datacamp made sure that we had sufficient practice before moving on to a new topic. Each topic has 4 to 5 video classes, each followed by a set of practice sessions, consisting of many questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at all. Except would encourage adding real-life industrial mini-projects so that we can start joining ends.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mini problems like working on small datasets or portions of large ones.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a beginner, I'd totally recommend Datacamp. It makes sure you get your hands dirty. Best place to start off.

Excellent content provider for Data Science professionals.

What do you like best about the product?
Very good Structure of content and hands on labs and exercises, also clear learning paths of the current technologies used. You could have a discount if you buy subscription for the whole year.

The platform reminds you to continue your learning courses every week, you also receive a learning status report to keep you motivated.

Small bites of content is also a good way to keep you with less cognitive load.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inconsistency of methodology across tutors. Some courses does not have pdf presentation to consult offline, There are only a few courses you can follow on mobile version. Some courses have not very useful examples or some times not clear about the end purpose.

There is no partnership with others certification providers, like for example tableau or Microsoft, DAMA or the Data Warehouse Institute.

It should also have courses about cloud service providers in order to test machine learning platforms, big data and Business intelligence.

There is no option to continue multiple learning paths.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduce learning curve about data science tools and topics, test real example about common data science problems.

Improve performance on my area of work.

Test other approaches to solve a specific problem.

Become an expert about data science popular programming languages like python, R and Spark.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Continue adding courses about bigdata technologies such as spark, etc., Also it will be a great addition to do more hands on labs on mobile format

Great,addictive

What do you like best about the product?
The way they progress with a skill track or learning path is very systematic, right from scratch and take things gradually in a way that learning data science becomes addictive. They are very fast with respect to their updates(almost every week new courses/tracks are added).
What do you dislike about the product?
Different courses are taught by different instructors, this may result in a loss in continuity. They can perhaps have more case studies(though they have projects) to make things more engaging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped to move from Excel to something more deeper, specific for data analysis. It also helped to become focussed w.r.t the tools to be used for data analysis(choosing from many ones like SAS, SPSS,etc.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, it is good for learning data science especially those who want to learn it from a programming point of view like R & Python.

Amazing Platform, Intuitive and Effective

  • September 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use DataCamp everyday in order to strengthen some skills in languages I use in my educational and business atmosphere, including R And C++. I found this software extremely easy to use and unlike most, it encourages the use to continue onto the next lesson and move forward with the program. Alongside with the wonderful user interface, the actual information itself is well structured.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't find any issues other than one which doesn't hinder the capabilities, but does make it cumbersome. The mobile integration isn't the greatest, so any progress on your mobile device isn't automatically integrated with the progress on your desktop version. Needless to say the mobile app still offers amazing excerises and practice tools at the tip of your fingers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's always been a challenge for instructors to assign homework in regards to coding or computer programming classes, but with DataCamp, it allows the ability to create a course online, all managed by the instructor.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The sooner you engage yourself, the sooner you begin to learn!

DataCamp

  • August 18, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DataCamp has a multitude of resources to help the beginner programmer learn data science. It's heavily focused on Python and R, but also has courses on SQL, Spreadsheets, Git, and Shell. With 287 courses currently, there is always something new to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
DataCamp is great for beginners, but might seem tedious, boring, or too easy for someone who already has a substantial programming/computer science background and is looking to enhance coding skills.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataCamp does a great job tying the skills with real-life examples in a wide variety of fields, from medicine to police stops to voting. I have realized how prevalent data science is in today's day and age.

    Aminata D.

DataCamp is a very helpful and useful tool to increase your Python, R and SQL skills.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the tracks that you sign up for and you don't need to install any software to practice your skills. I recently got my certification in the Intro to R for Data Science and it was a powerful skill that I gained to understand more about the syntax and think thoroughly when answering coding questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The wording in the scripts can be a little confusing as opposed to how it looks like in the questions section. Sometimes in the question section, it asks you some questions that we haven't covered in the learning lab at all. I think that is a good way to think and practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the problems that I am solving in DataCamp is being able to read data properly and try to understand the problem that we are trying to solve before we before coding anything. The major benefit behind this is if I type a code incorrectly or if it does not answer the question specifically, I am able to learn from that error.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend DataCamp for anyone looking to pursue a career in Data Science or just looking to learn a new programming language and to understand the content behind it. Super useful and one of my favorites.

I like how DataCamp is a great tool that lets me learn more about data analytics and data science as a data analyst at my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how DataCamp isn't free and I have to pay for courses beyond the first chapter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problems I'm solving with DataCamp is primarily professional development. I have been able to do other lessons and improve my data analytics skills.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the data camp platform because of the videos and practice problems that the courses offer. It gives you a great primer to do great work in whatever subject they are promoting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Datacamp for businesses and personal use isn't cheap and you have to use it constantly to justify the value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problems I'm solving with datacamp is the need to keep my data science skills in the new. By using data camp, I'm able to continue to be marketable.
