Transformative Video Hosting and Streaming
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Gumlet for a little bit now and it has proven itself to be a potentially transformative way to deliver media content on the web and possibly applications as well. The platform is designed to optimize videos (images too) and serve them up with lightning-fast performance, which has significant impacts on our end users experience. From the comprehensive feature set, clean aethics, and solid performance Gumlet is shaping up to be a new staple.
What do you dislike about the product?
My olny real complaint with Gumlet is the lack of a more robust API. The ability to impliment custom player builds that support full control over play/pause, mute/unmute. playback speed, and all other aspects of playback using custom elements and components is something I find myself missiong from some competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall the main benefit has been a reliable, efficient, and comprehensive video hosting and streaming experience. Gumlet has proven to be (for the most part) a one-stop solution that has made a significant difference in the way I’ll be approaching, managing, and delivering video content going forward.
Simplified Media Hosting with Gumlet
What do you like best about the product?
Gumlet revolutionizes the world of image and video hosting with its simplified, user-friendly interface. It’s an intuitive platform that provides seamless media management and a streamlined uploading process. Gumle is super fast. Wait times and long upload queues are a thing of the past.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now, the Cname option is not available but it’s under development. Additionally, I’ve noted that the oEmbed feature may not be compatible with all platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gumlet solves the problem of complex setups and configurations when dealing with images and videos online. The user friendly features saves us huges amounts of time that can be allocated elsewhere.
Outstanding alternative to Vimeo
What do you like best about the product?
Uploading and sharing videos is extremely easy. Integrating into our site was a breeze as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am sure there are negative aspects to Gumlet, I just have not found any in my normal day to day use of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality video hosting along with DRM.
Really great alternative to Vimeo
What do you like best about the product?
Firstly, the load speeds of the videos are excellent.
You have a lot of player customisation options and the videos look great when embedded
If I only want videos to play to play in a single resolution (e.g. 1080p) I can choose to only process the video in that resolution
This is quite important for us as we publish tutorials where we don't want users to play in a lower resolution i.e. even if involves some buffering in a worse case scenario
Gumlet gives us this flexibility.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not something I dislike as I understand they don't have an option but I do want to noe that the DRM requires a separate Apple Fairplay subscription. This is an additional cost you need to be aware of if you want the DRM
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using it to host videos for our business. The load speeds are great (I assume because of the CDN). It also gives us the option of a very strong DRM to prevent copying of videos.
A Highly Efficient Tool with Slight Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I recently started to use Gumlet Video and it is absolutely fantastic. The platform boasts of a well-structured, intuitive interface that has significantly improved the way I handle video content.
The efficiency of the tool is something that left me in awe. It offers seamless video hosting, encoding, and streaming. These features have drastically reduced the time spent on managing videos and increased my productivity.
What stood out for me was its adaptive bitrate streaming feature - it ensures smooth playback without buffering issues no matter what your viewer’s internet speed might be.
Additionally, the high-quality video output provided by Gumlet Video is commendable. I very much enjoyed the clear resolution that never failed to make my content look top-notch. Moreover, their customer support team was prompt and helpful in answering any questions or concerns which further enhanced my user experience.
However, every product does have room for improvement. For new users, there might be a bit of a learning curve initially with Gumlet Video. Some functionalities aren’t immediately intuitive and require self-exploration or assistance from their customer service team.
Despite this minor hiccup, once you get used to the platform’s navigation it becomes effortless to use; hence why I would still wholeheartedly recommend it! Overall, Gumlet Video stands as an excellent choice for anyone who wants an efficient and reliable video management tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's a slight learning curve and maybe a bit more than you'd expect but nothing too steep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a much better solution than YouTube. I love how fast it loads for any device.
Gumlet provide a better alternative to any known OVP
What do you like best about the product?
Gumlet enables smooth HLS streaming of videos including encryption, Adaptive bit rate and global CDN. It provides a very good alternative to Vimeo os any other trasitional OVP.
What do you dislike about the product?
ISomce definitions are not quite clear initially on first access (lie the difference between collections and channels etc). also some feature are still mssing: Plyalists , Play-out and white leabeling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gumlet enables use of external players by supporting HLS streaming. It enables us to support viewers globally thrugh their CDN as well as manage our videos smoothly.
Seems like a great alternative to Vimeo
What do you like best about the product?
A great alternative to Vimeo. Streaming quality is great and support 4k High Dynamic Range and Digital Rights Management. The video player can be customized with colours, logos and player controls.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not yet supporting AV1 codec so possibly not as optimized for streaming. Floating window player please.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everything I need from Vimeo at a cheaper cost.
Gumlet looks promising
What do you like best about the product?
Gumlet caught my attention with its strong DRM and DRM technologies that safeguard online videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Luck of many things you can see in mature video platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast and secure video hosting and embedding on my websites
Good for flexible hosting of professional business videos
What do you like best about the product?
Good and well-working player with a lot of potential. The best option of all the ones that we have trialled. Playback is usually smooth and fast, so the CDN is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Player customization (custom context menu, custom logo in progress bar, overall a more "Wistia" look), as well as profile/channel customization, more/easier options for animated thumbnails, whitelabel code integration (custom script name) etc. would be a plus, although I am sure these are being developed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy, low-barrier video hosting for business purposes (training videos for employees and clients) on a platform that can be easily customized as per our needs in this area.
Gumlet is a feature rich video hosting platform
What do you like best about the product?
The main purpose is to display my videos in high quality on my website and to give my users a great playback with no buffering. So that is what I like best about Gumlet, it does that well. But it just doesn't do the basics, it lets you do a lot more, customize the player, protect the video, get analytics on the videos, embed, share, etc. So the core video hosting and management is the best feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the flip side, there is so much you can do, it's not as organized in the user interface. You have to click to find where to configure things at first. The terminology is unique, there is a flow to things, profile to collection to channels. If you don't use it a lot, it takes a time to get re-familiaried with the interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making it easy to manage all my videos and embeds in one place and providing seamless playback with no buffering or issues across devices. Secondarily, making sure my brand is upfront and not the vendor (ie YouTube) and that I can customize the video player and any share links, channel pages, etc where I display the video.
