Worth every last penny
What do you like best about the product?
We have a website and clients who require a lot of videos to be uploaded, we didn't want to spend money on Vimeo etc, the cost of it just doesn't make any sense to us.
We saw Gumlet and it's got exactly what we need. plenty of storage to upload 100s if not 1000s of videos. Blazing speed and easy integration into WordPress with Embed. We initially had issues with videos that had black bars, we raised the issue and it got fixed almost instantly. The black bar issue is gone. for the service alone and response time, it's worth it. You can add chapters to videos, perfect for E-learning videos and modules.
I don't see why this cant be a permanent replacement for the more expensive video hosting platforms when Gumlet literally has the same if not more features. if you need a video hosting platform. Don't wait. You'll be gutted once you've missed this.

What do you dislike about the product?
Initially. we had a little bit of an issue with black bars appearing and the resolution being incorrect when embedding the video into our WordPress site. This issue was promptly fixed though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its allows us and our clients to host videos without slowing down our site or having to pay huge monthly fees like you do with vimeo, this is a much better solution
Great solution for a fair price!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Gumlet pricing is excellent compared to all the other big companies out there working with CDN solutions such as Cloudflare, Amazon, Microsoft Azure CDN. Contacted Gumlet was no problem to get a demo and to understand what they can deliver vs. the others. I don't want to pay a hefty price for a CDN solution and Gumlet is what you exactly need.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there is no price conversion on the invoices. And i hope the pricing doesn't go up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CDN solution with image optimization.
All in one for Wordpress
What do you like best about the product?
I don't need to use additional plugins for wp. everything happens in one. Google page speed is green
What do you dislike about the product?
not all plugins support .js and .CSS uploads to Gumlet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Page speed. Google dont like big photo form my shop
Easy to use and implement CDN
What do you like best about the product?
I love Gumlet because of the ease of use, and the capabilities of improving both images and videos
What do you dislike about the product?
At the beginning, I'd some trouble because I typed the name of the website wrong, but after noticing it, it worked in seconds later
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Image and video optimization with CDN
Fast and reliable without much fuss
What do you like best about the product?
I like the declarative configuration and the simplicity with which the operations are described and then handled. Also, the SSL support for the custom domains is a great feature that is missing from other services. Finally, the project is well documented and has helpful examples for most use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like more options for cache purging so as to minimize requests and load on cache busting operations. For example a wildcard or regex based solution would certainly be great. Another helpful tool would be some client libraries, even tiny ones for source APIs administration, ex. a mini NodeJS client library.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main reason for using Gumlet is speed. Images make our app feel slow, and Gumlet is the solution to that. We can optimize our pictures on the fly based on the user's device and Gumlet will cache and deliver these assets with blazing speed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to make the most out of this service and don't be afraid to ask for support from the Gumlet team. The app is frequently improved and since the new features are usually powerful, so keep an eye out for any new improvements that they make and you can make use of.
A Great Service to Accelerate Your Website
What do you like best about the product?
The setup is so simple, you just have to install a plugin on WordPress websites in order to activate the service. Once set, you can forget about it. The service will take care of itself and deliver the optimized and properly resized to deliver fast loading images. If you know a bit about programming, you can even create tailormade images automatically for your social network by adding your own logo and text.
What do you dislike about the product?
No support for UTF-8 overlay text for the images generated by Gumlet using its API. This request has been made to Gumlet and they have promised to make this available within a few days but I am still waiting for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To enhance the speed of the website by optimizing images to be served over a fast CDN and to generate tailormade versions of images for social networks. So far, Gumlet is doing a great job! Once set, I can forget about it!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
UTF-8 text can be added to the optimized image using the Image API
Recommended: Non-destructive image optimization and CDN
What do you like best about the product?
I've yet to find "the perfect" image optimization tool and CDN but Gumlet comes close. I manage approx. 100 WordPress sites and now use Gumlet (or ShortPixel Adaptive Images) for virtually all of them. For sites using Divi or with complex galleries and background layouts, many of the other image optimization tools I've tried seem to break something. I've tested premium versions of Gumlet, ShortPixel Adaptive Images, WP Compress, Imagify, Cloudimage, and Smush Pro. I've found Gumlet (and competitor ShortPixel Adaptive Images) to be the most reliable for optimizing and offloading images off my server via a CDN. If anything looks off, usually I can uncheck one of the few settings and it's resolved.
I like how Gumlet does not alter the actual images at all. It does all the optimizations via copies stored on their CDN. Some image-optimization plugins like Smush Pro and ShortPixel (though ShortPixel Adaptive Images is different) actually change and overwrite your images. They often create many variations of these images as separate files which then clutter up the media library and consume vast amounts of storage space (which can be a pain if you ever need to migrate the site). As I see it, altering a client's actual image files by degrading them to be web-optimized without a backup is a big negative (though the two mentioned above can make backups and revert things if needed) so I prefer to let Gumlet do this automatically. And even better, Gumlet will optimize each one for different devices, operating systems, browsers, and more (yes, even retina-ready images). Gumlet's CDN seems to be more SEO-friendly than ShortPixel's CDN.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike. Most of the time it's "plug and play" and just works. On rare occasions I've had to reach out to Gumlet's support team regarding a few issues with some more complex WordPress configurations (usually related to image galleries). I've found their support team to be responsive and helpful. As noted above, I've not found any image optimization tool that works all the time on all configurations. That's why I've essentially made thinges easier for me by keeping both Gumlet and ShortPixel Adaptive Images in my toolbox. If one gives me some grief I pull out the other and it usually just works (Gumlet is easier to setup while ShortPixel AI has more configuration settings).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gumlet speeds up website content delivery to site visitors by shrinking and optimizing the images they are viewing from my hosted sites. It also prepositions these images around the globe on their content delivery network (CDN) for faster performance. These actions not only improve our site's speed but it offloads a lot of work for my servers. Almost anything I can offload from a server is a good thing (and usually reduces expenses too). Faster, better, less-expensive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very easy to use, very affordable (nice free plan too for small projects), and well-worth adding to your website to improve performance of your server and the experience of your visitors.

Best Image Optimizer
What do you like best about the product?
Gumlet is fast and reliable. I am using it on all my websites from the beginning. It helps me to serve images faster through Amazon Cloudfront CDN. They also have outstanding customer support to answer your queries as early as possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't face any serious issues with Gumlet till this writing. But it would be better if there are free custom domains. Initially, they offered it in exchange for writing reviews. Unfortunately, I missed that opportunity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gumlet helped me to reduce the image loading time. There are two CDN types- Cloudfront and Gumlet. I am using Cloudfront CDN for faster image loading. It is useful to serve JavaScript and CSS files also.
Gumlet - a boon in the name of performance optimisation
What do you like best about the product?
The performance optimisation that gumlet got to my 10 websites is beyond imagination. The gumlet CDN almost doubled my websites on performance. The gumlet CDN optimised videos are super on performance and SEO. It beats the speed of Youtube video plays.
What do you dislike about the product?
We initially faced one typical issue with revolution slider, but that I understand is behind us now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance optimisation of website images, videos and content distribution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Instead of upgrading your servers to more expensive ones, first always look at performance optimisation tool like gumlet and beleive me you will save loads of money.
