Don't believe other highly suspicious reviews...made our website slower!
What do you like best about the product?
The only positive was the easy integration
What do you dislike about the product?
Made my website slower
Doesn't do what it's supposed to
Poor, non-responsive support
Grammatical errors all over the site
Many of their reviews are highly suspicious

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None - the tool doesn't do what it's supposed to. We chose it because it was rated #1 on G2 for website image optimisation but I now realise that the majority of reviews for this product (which all look suspiciously similar) are more than likely fake.
We opted for the 'Pro' option and integrated it with our staging site. When we checked our site on various page speed tools after implementation, our site had become significantly slower. Images were not properly sized, were not using the correct format etc. Our scores on tools like Page Speed Insights had worsened.
We reached out to their support team via the chat function but nobody got back to us.
Overall - a waste of both time and money. Hopefully this saves others making the same mistake - I would not recommend.

The best of optimising your images on the fly
What do you like best about the product?
easy to use, and take care of image sizes and format based on the browser and viewports by itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gumlet team needs to test the platform on the iOS devices, sometime the images are not rendered properly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple renditions of images, optimizing the website speed because of the larges images getting optimized on the fly
Best low price platform
What do you like best about the product?
The pricing is cheaper than cloudinary and offer almost same services. Also Gumlet offers APIs and dashboard, alert mechanism when ever for alarming situations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes error rates are high and no alternative service available by them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are hosting and transforming images using Gumlet.

Fast and reliable CDN for your website
What do you like best about the product?
I've been a Gumlet users since a couple of months and I'm very happy with it.
Gumlet significally improves loading times of my websites by hosting all images on another server in the cloud.
The main features are:
- image caching (less load on my server)
- responsive images (images are automatically resized for each device)
- very easy to integrate (by adding a JavaScript to your source code)

What do you dislike about the product?
Gumletcan deliver images only. It would be great to use it for CSS, Javascript or maybe video, too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's not possible to clear the cache for all images at once. This means if you change one image on your server, you have to manually enter the filename in their backend (or use the API) or change the filename of your image. This can be a little bit confusing in the beginning.
First time usage feedback

What do you dislike about the product?

Manual refresh of Cache for updated file

If we are looking for image optimization service, can consider this
Very easy to integrate with AWS S3
What do you like best about the product?
Gumlet is an easy to use and easy to setup tool to deliver optimized images. The feature I like most is the ability to modify images on the fly, e.g. resize and crop to create consistent thumbnails.
What do you dislike about the product?
The maximum width and height for images are 8192px. Would great if they'd also support occasional images that are larger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimize loading speed for visitors, more control on image display for ourselves.
One of the best image optimisation (and delivery) tool
What do you like best about the product?
I choose between Short pixel and Gumlet. They are both excellent apps. I like Gumlet because it's easy to set up it and because of its first-rate and fast CDN. Gumlet optimize the images on your site so they fit for any screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I don't know how to do it better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gumlet speed up my site
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a no-brainer decision. If you don't have an image optimisation and delivery tool, buy it and use it.
Solid Image Hosting Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Gumlet is fairly easy to set up and just works out of the box. Also, their Wordpress plugin is nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes with SVGs the images seem not to resize properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting images from a CDN helps with page speed and load time. Also loading images in WebP format.
Excellent Image CDN that Noticably Speeds Up my HUGE Image-Heavy Website
What do you like best about the product?
What I like Most about using Gumlet are the results. I run an Image Heavy Website on Shared Web Hosting & Gumlet makes a Dramatic Improvement in my Website Performance & Load Speed. Images make up 75%-80% of my page content and Gumlet helps by reducing my homepage size from 11MB down to 7.5MB! This leads to cutting my load speed in half from 25 seconds, down to 13 seconds. We should be moving to a MUCH faster webserver next month before opening to the public, so we are looking forward to Gumlet to continue helping us out & making a difference in loading all of our 120 Image specific requests - per page load :)
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a lot to dislike in Gumlet as once you hare finished the initial configuration, there is hardly any more interaction with the software required. Truly plug & play. Other than disabling / enabling it to run performance tests on Pingdom & GTmetrix there is not much else to do after you have finished the initial setup. If there is anything that I dislike it is that Gumlet "takes over" your Lazy Loading capability. To run Gumlet at all, you have to disable other Lazy Load software so that Gumlet can be in control of that department. I would have prefered the option of being able to test & tune the Lazy Load capability of different plugins & using the one that works best - instead of being "forced" into using the Gumlet version. Not a big deal over all, as the results speak for themselves. Our website is so image heavy that GTMetrix errors-out without even completing the scan when Gumlet is deactivated...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gumlet is actually making THE difference in moving from Development, into Testing and Tuning, soon to be open to the Public in 2 weeks. Without Gumlet it takes Pingdom 30 seconds to load our homepage, even worse for real users on normal bandwidth or smart phone data plans. Having Gumlet makes it possible for us to move forward towards our business goal of opening to the public after YEARS of full-time development on a shared hosting plan. Without Gumlet, we the developers, don't have the patience for our webpages to load - much less ask random visitors to spend 30+ seconds waiting for things to appear. Gumlet cuts our Page Load Times in Half, just by installing & configuring it once. Now all we need is to move to better hosting & we should be crossing that bridge in 12 days!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get It. It already makes a big Difference for us & we can plainly see that they are working hard at improvement & making their product better!
a CDN that works and has a great team behind it.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simple and easy to use interface and the simple setup process
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting could be a bit more detailed, but they seem to be getting better and it's not a deal-breaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having Gumiet on my site really speeds things up to a whole new level for both my wp files and images
